#Rock

40 years ago Toto from Los Angeles, #USA released their 4th studio album entitled Toto IV.
It's widely considered their masterpiece, for sure their most succesful and one of the Rock best sellers of the 80s decade!
Toto IV contains standards such as "Rosanna", "Africa", "I Won't Hold You Back" and it's the last album to feature vocalist Bobby Kimball who came back only in 1998.
#Toto did not embark in a promotional tour for this album because most of the band's members became soon involved in the production of #MichaelJackson Thriller!

Toto in this album were:
#BobbyKimball – lead vocals, backing vocals
#SteveLukather – guitars, lead vocals, backing vocals, piano
#DavidPaich – keyboards, lead vocals, backing vocals

Michael Jackson
📀 Thriller
#Pop #Rock #Funk #RnB

40 years ago Michael Jackson from Gary, Indiana, #USA, released his 6th studio album entitled Thriller.

Only the best selling album of all time.

Producer #QuincyJones called prominent musicians, arrangers, sound engineers, programmers, videomakers, actors to record this album as the perfect mix of Pop and Rock, most notably:
#PaulMcCartney (vocals on "The Girl Is Mine"), #EddieVanHalen (legendary 👉 guitar solo on "Beat It"), #VincentPrice (legendary voiceover on "Thriller"), percussionist #PaulinhoDaCosta, vocalist #JamesIngram, keyboardist #GregPhilliganes plus all members of #Toto who released their 👉 most succesful album earlier that year.

🎸 When #Prince passed away someone said he had "the stage presence of #MichaelJackson, the musical chameleon status of #DavidBowie, the guitar wizardry of #JimiHendrix, and he was as visually provocative as #Madonna"...

Art and music scenes have always been overfilled of such (sometimes clueless) comparisons but... watch that until the end👇❤️‍🔥
