Yngwie Malmsteen
πŸ“€ Rising Force
#HeavyMetal #NeoClassicalMetal

40 years ago, Yngwie Malmsteen from #Sweden released his debut album as Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force.

Originally intended as a side project for πŸ‘‰ Alcatrazz, Rising Force launched #YngwieMalmsteen (21 at the time) solo career instead, becoming the most iconic Neo Classical Metal album and one of the best #GuitarVirtuoso of all time.
This album has been described as the true inauguration of the guitar shredder's age!

In this album Malmsteen (guitar, bass, moog, arranger, producer) is backed by Jethro Tull's #BarriemoreBarlow (drums), #JensJohansson (keyboards, harpsichord), #JeffScottSoto (vocals).

Mostly instrumental, Rising Force is highly influenced by Malmsteen's classical heroes: Beethoven, Bach, Paganini.
"Icarus Dream Suite Op. 4" based on the Venetian πŸ‘‰Tomaso Albinoni's Adagio in G Minor is still one of my all time favorite instrumentals ❀️‍πŸ”₯
