Meotode (夫婦手) or Meoto-de literally means "husband-and-wife hands" (a pair of hands acting as a unified, complementary couple). It is a deep concept in traditional Karate and classical Japanese martial arts. Meotode refers to the coordinated use of both hands working in harmony. One hand attacking or leading, the other supporting, guiding, deflecting, or controlling.
Nagashi Uke or Sukui Uke, performed while simultaneously delivering a Chudan Zuki, is a classic example of Meotode (夫婦手) in action.

Waza no Kankyu (技の緩急) The deliberate control of speed, tension, and tempo in techniques of your kata during performance. It means adjusting the speed and intensity of your techniques. knowing when to move slowly and when to move fast. In Karate, not all movements should be at the same pace (Not all movements in kata should be done at the same speed or intensity). Some parts of a kata should flow gently, while others must strike with speed and force. This contrast makes your techniques more realistic, powerful, and expressive. It also shows control and maturity. Just like in music, where soft and loud notes create feeling, in Karate, changing rhythm gives life to your movement.

誘う手 - The Okinawan karate term Sasoei-Di (sometimes spelled Sasoe-di or Sasoi-te) refers to a "luring hand" or "inviting technique." It comes from the verb sasou (誘う) meaning to invite, entice, lure, or draw in, and te/di (手) meaning hand.
Concept of Sasoei-Di is a strategic feint or invitation to provoke the opponent into attacking. Dropping the guard slightly and open the body or move subtly in a way that invites attack. Once the opponent commits, you intercept, deflect, trap, or counter immediately.

Karatedo(空手道) is not just a martial art. It is a lifelong practice of shaping the self. Its depth is not revealed through victory or rank, but through repetition, restraint, and refinement. What makes it unique is its demand for internal honesty: no shortcuts, no pretending. You are what you train.

素振り刀 (Suburitō)
A suburito is a type of wooden practice sword used in Japanese martial arts. Heavier than a standard bokken (wooden sword), it is designed to build strength and power while refining swordsmanship techniques.
Training for karate demands not just precise technique but also strength and resilience. This synergy of traditional and modern tools not only enhances my physical capacity but also deepens my connection to the art of karate. It’s a journey of continuous growth, balancing strength with precision and tradition with innovation.

White Crane Fist, or Hakutsuru Ken, as taught by Master Wu Xian Hui (known in Okinawa as Go Kenki), is a traditional martial arts style rooted in White Crane Kung Fu from China. His teachings helped preserve the rich tradition of White Crane Fist within the broader scope of Okinawan karate. Hakutsuru Ken emphasizes graceful yet powerful movements that mimic the crane’s defensive and offensive techniques. The style focuses on fluidity, precision, and control, combining evasive footwork with open-hand strikes, deflections, and quick counters. Practitioners develop heightened sensitivity, using subtle body mechanics and angles to neutralize attacks, with an emphasis on soft but effective power. Master Go Kenki refined and passed down these techniques, blending them into Okinawan karate traditions.
Master Kenwa Mabuni learned three katas—Papuren, Nipaipo, and Haffa—from Master Go Kenki, modifying and simplifying them for inclusion in his Shitoryu Karatedo syllabus
