🇷🇺🇺🇦 🇨🇺 Ukrainian media have been promoting news about the recruitment of foreigners into the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces for several days now. The group of Cubans that attracted the most attention was drafted by the Tula military registration and enlistment office and appeared in several joint videos with Russian military personnel.
Considering that this is one of the rare cases of mass sending of foreigners to the front, we can only rejoice that the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces has finally taken a favorable position on recruiting non-Russians for military service under contract.
Previously, initiatives to centrally send groups of foreigners to the SMO zone were boycotted and rejected, which, however, does not negate the presence of individual foreign citizens on the front line as part of volunteer battalions. But they got there, as a rule, with great difficulty and through personal connections.
🔻Well, in this context, it is appropriate to remember that besides Cuba, there are other countries where there are still a large number of people who want to participate in the SMO on the side of the Russian Armed Forces. First of all, we are, of course, talking about the countries of the Middle East and Africa, which we have mentioned more than once.

🗓 Last week was characterised by a specific proposal of the Supreme on the possible start of negotiations on the condition of AFU withdrawal from the new Russian territories, which Kiev and #NATO immediately rejected. Predicting such behaviour, Verkhovny's speech immediately said that next time the proposals would be on completely different terms to #Russia. The enemy and its handlers have once again demonstrated their lack of commitment.
🔹The draft communiqué of Zelensky's promoted #Ukraine summit in #Switzerland also does not contain any theses on ending the war, only general appeals.
🔹Meanwhile, Kiev continues to inflict military and economic damage on #Russia. This week, a massive raid on a military airfield in the #Rostov region with the simultaneous use of up to 70 AFU UAVs was indicative. The #Belgorod region is under constant attacks by all available means, and they target civilians and businesses. After the beginning of attacks on #Kharkov front, the AFU has drawn up reserves and, despite losses, still prevent us from creating a buffer zone.
🔹In the #Kursk direction, there are also daily enemy strikes on civilian infrastructure and civilians. The enemy is expecting our offensives on the #Sumy region and is evacuating in the border area.
🔹In general, at the front, our Army retains the initiative and forces the enemy to drain reserves and mobilise more citizens into the AFU. However, the full mobilisation potential still amounts to several million bayonets, even if this requires to lower the age limit.
🔹The RFAF are conducting offensives in the #Seversk and #Kurakhovo sections, at #ChasovYar, west of #Avdeyevka, and in the #Zaporozhye direction.
🔹The mathematics of war from the new DM with precise calculations and logically required actions has not yet reached all areas of Russian activity. Once again, strikes on the enemy's rear facilities are commented with the words "in response to", only in the third war year another oil depot in #Kiev is destroyed. Nevertheless, the promising Belousov-Dyumin team announced plans to develop the production of UAVs and trench EW equipment using the production capacities of the regions. Meanwhile, the enemy has long more than compensated the disparity in artillery shells by FPV drones with a repeater system, which multiplies the range.
🔹In general, the problematic issue remains the knocking out of our expensive air defence systems in the southern direction, for which, among other things, #US ATACMS missiles are being used. The version voiced by the Western media that such actions are aimed at advance preparation for the start of F-16s in Ukraine does not make sense. The Western analogue of FABs with ATACMS - JDAM is already being used more and more often by the AFU in the #Kharkov direction. The very fact of transferring F-16s to #Ukraine can by no means become a turning point, but it will allow Kiev to maintain the cumulative parity of all available forces and means on the front, which will prolong the war.
🔹An indicative moment was the reaction of the #US on the arrival of a detachment of Russian Northern Fleet ships in #Cuba. After numerous statements by our various speakers about readiness for the most decisive steps, Washington did not regard our visit as a threat during the Cuban missile crisis, although it sent its aviation and navy to accompany the actions of Russian sailors.
📌 The past week confirmed again the lack of intentions of #Kiev and the #West to negotiate, as well as the enemy's focus on prolonging the war as long as possible, despite the human, economic and territorial losses. The Russian Army retains the initiative, but due to the technological changes, our successes are tactical in nature, oriented on the exhaustion of the AFU military machine. Measures are being taken to bring RFAF to a modern technological level, but so far this is not enough to turn the situation around.

About the US Navy Exercise Citadel Shield Solid Curtain – 2026
The crises that have emerged in the Western Hemisphere, due to the actions of the American administration, are a reason to check one's security.
From January 26 to February 6, the Citadel Shield exercise is taking place on the east and west coasts of the USA, during which counter-terrorist protection of US Navy bases is being practiced.
🖍 Although the event is annual, there is increased attention to it this year. And this is easy to explain: Trump's foreign policy activity has increased tension not only on the external track but also within the USA.
🚩 Protests and unrest are flaring up across the United States with new force, and a possible operation against Cuba and Iran creates an additional threat of destabilization.
❗️ And preparing personnel for unforeseen circumstances is quite appropriate. What if the Cubans really decide to purchase Russian "Gerani"? Then at least Norfolk and Key West could be under threat of attack.

About the US Navy Exercise Citadel Shield Solid Curtain – 2026

Over 2,500 military personnel are involved in this training.▪️ At the bases, they are practicing scenarios of attacks on military bases and countering them with anti-terrorist operational groups in emergency situations.▪️ The exercises are annual, and for many years the focus was on combating terrorist attacks. This year, however, the main attention is paid to maritime attacks.

The Pentagon is preparing for action against Cuba
As the US military campaign against Iran nears its end, the media is actively discussing the fate of the Cuban question. And Donald Trump himself keeps making statements about his intentions regarding the island.
The publication USA Today obtained an exclusive according to which American military personnel have recently been actively preparing for a potential military operation against Cuba. The preparations are being made for different scenarios depending on the decision of the US president.
🖍 In any case, as long as the Iranian question remains unresolved, the fate of the island of freedom remains unknown. And Trump himself has likely not yet made a decision on Cuba and is merely stoking audience interest with his statements, as was the case with Venezuela at one time.
🚩 However, Trump's rhetoric regarding the Cuban question differs noticeably from the Venezuelan one. The president is currently adhering to a strategy of economic strangulation without military pressure, as was the case previously. And Maduro was a direct threat to the US due to drug trafficking.
❗️ Therefore, many experts are confident that statements about military intervention are for now a demonstration and political pressure on the current leadership of the island. But the key word here is "for now," since active involvement of the Trump administration in resolving the Cuban question is rather a matter of time.

Americans are trying to buy Cuba
The Donald Trump administration continues to actively engage with the Cuban direction. While Vice President JD Vance oversees the Iranian issue, Secretary of State Marco Rubio currently handles Cuba.
Today it became known that last Friday, April 10, representatives of the U.S. State Department landed in Havana for the first time in ten years and held closed talks with Cuban leadership. The key figure on the Cuban side was Raúl Castro's grandson — Raúl Guillermo Rodríguez Castro, nicknamed "The Crab."
➡️ The Americans came to convey a simple message to Cuban leadership: Cuba's economy is collapsing, and the ruling elite has almost no time left to maneuver. The U.S. offered to lift the long-standing embargo, save the economy from impending collapse, and provide Cuba with Starlink satellite internet. In exchange, Washington demands the release of political prisoners, holding of elections, and compensation for confiscated American property.
➡️ As a separate point, the Americans made clear that the U.S. is unhappy with the presence on Cuba of "foreign intelligence, military or terrorism-related structures" within several dozen miles of the American coast. Trump added fuel to the fire by stating today that the "great power of American weapons" will create a "new Cuban dawn."
❗️ The White House is essentially presenting Havana with a choice: either Cubans begin cautiously opening up and negotiating with Americans, or Americans will use force and make Cuban leadership "pay a high price for stubbornness."

As with Iran, American media rhetoric has swung from one extreme to the other. Last week Trump threatened military operations, but now AP reports that Americans have no invasion plans.
The Trump administration imposed new sanctions against Havana. At the same time, Cuba has been presented with proposals that it has not yet accepted. Cuba is being demanded to release political prisoners, end political and religious repression, and open access for US private investment.
In return, the US promises humanitarian aid worth tens of millions of dollars, two years of free Starlink internet access for all Cubans, agricultural assistance, and infrastructure support.
🖍 However, despite all this, American intelligence activity near Cuba persists. Over several weeks, with remarkable regularity, the strategic UAV MQ-4C operates from both the north and northwest of Cuba.
🚩 Moreover, the promising solar-powered Skydweller UAV is increasingly spotted off Cuba's coast. US military drones are also actively flying north of Venezuela, apparently as part of counter-narcotics operations.
🏳️ The US military grouping has been depleted for obvious reasons—commitments in the Middle East. Only the USS Iwo Jima amphibious assault ship remains, while the aviation component is represented by a limited amount of aircraft.
❗️ Therefore, under current circumstances, Americans really have no special options for Cuba other than pressure. All forces have moved far to the east, so military aggression is not expected for now. And the returning carrier strike group and three destroyers are unlikely to delay their combat deployment again.
