⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦🚀 On the attempted Strike by the AFU on #Kerch with the Grom-2 Tactical Missile System⚡️
🗓 Today around 08:30 (22 Apr 2023), Ukrainian formations attempted another strike on the Crimean peninsula from the Grom-2 operational and tactical missile system.
The missile was shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov near #Kerch by RF Armed Forces' 3rd Squadron anti-aircraft gunners of the 18th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment. There were no fatalities or injuries, the shrapnel fell into the water.
In contrast to two previous attempts of 👉 strikes in #Gvardeyskoye and #Feodosiya from the #Odessa region, the AFU changed its positioning area for the Grom-2 missile launches. This time the launch was conducted from the vicinity of #Zaporozhye and the distance was about 290 km.
Meanwhile, last night Ukrainian formations attempted to hit #Armyansk in the north of the peninsula from the "Alder" multiple rocket launcher system at a distance of about 100 km. All the shells were shot down by air defence crews.
📌 The Intensity of the Shelling remains the same at the moment. However, the relocation of the Grom-2 missile system to #Zaporozhye indicates that the testing of the battery of four complexes at #Tuzla in #Odessa region has been completed and the missiles have been brought into service.
The new positioning area in #Zaporozhye makes it possible to expand the geography of tactical missile use not only in #Crimea and near the Kerch Bridge, but also in the south of #Zaporozhye region and in the DPR. In addition, the redeployment of tactical missiles fully correlates with the preparation of the AFU for an offensive.

🔹In #Nikopol, the 3rd and 4th detachments of the AFU's 71st Jager Brigade, redeployed from the #Soledar direction, have arrived. Given the combat experience of the units of the 71st Brigade in #Bakhmut, they are likely to be involved in the forcing of the #Dnieper River and the assault on #Energodar.
🔹The #Gulyaypole Section is being prepared for an offensive. According to intercepts, about 10,000 militants are concentrated at the #Gulyaypole - #Temirovka line. Starlink terminals have been deployed near #Gulyaypole, #Malinovka and #Poltavka.

🔹#Russia's Border Areas:
▪️ In the #Kursk region, the enemy terrorists once again shelled the Rylsk district, damaging power grids and de-energizing the villages of #Obesta, #Lokot and #Novoivanovka. There were no civilian casualties.
▪️ The #Belgorod region, Ukrainian terrorist formations struck the villages of Novaya Tavolzhanka, #Murom and #Spodaryushino: at least 14 residential buildings and power lines were damaged. There were no civilian casualties.
🔹#Starobelsk (#Svatovo) Direction:
▪️ Along the line #Kupyansk - #Svatovo - #Kremennaya and near #Seversk, positional fighting and mutual reconnaissance continue, no serious changes in these sections of the front.
▪️ The AFU terrorists fired four HIMARS rockets at #Alchevsk. A boiler house, a gas pipeline and seven residential buildings have been hit. There were no civilian casualties.
🔹#Soledar (#Bakhmut) Direction (MAP):
▪️ Ukrainian commanders are moving additional forces to #Bogdanovka and #Grigorovka, expecting an offensive by Russian forces in this area.
▪️ Fighting continues near the highway from #Khromovo to Chasov Yar. The "Wagnerians" have established a foothold on the road section and cut off the supply of the AFU grouping in #Bakhmut.
▪️ Wagner PMC assault squads are pushing through the defences of the Ukrainian formations in the north and centre of #Bakhmut. The enemy attempts to counterattack.
🔹#Donetsk Direction (MAP):
▪️ North of #Avdeyevka there is fighting between #Novokalinovo and #Novobakhmutka. Ukrainian forces attempted to counterattack and regain lost positions near the H20, but failed and withdrew with significant losses.
➖ At the same time, the RF Armed Forces are conducting a positional offensive in the direction of #Novokalinovo.
▪️ Southwest of #Avdeyevka, fighting continues northwest of #Vodyanoye, where Russian servicemen stormed two strongholds of the AFU's 53rd Mechanized Brigade.
▪️ The enemy command is reinforcing the grouping in the #Avdyeyevka fortified area, two assault groups of the 137th Battalion of the 35th Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy have arrived in #Keramik.
➖ At the same time, Ukrainian formations transferred an electronic warfare station and ATGM crews to the area of #Tonenkoye.

▪️ On Saturday morning, Ukrainian formations attacked #Crimea with a Grom-2 surface-to-air missile. The missile was intercepted by an air defense system over the sea near #Kerch.
▪️ The day before, late in the evening, the enemy shelled #Armyansk in the north of the peninsula with MLRS " Alder", the shells were shot down by air defence systems.
🔸Political and other Events:
▪️ Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has signed a law banning the naming of geographical sites associated with Russia and the USSR.
▪️ Ukrainian authorities have set up a commission to check the use of sites in the Pochayev Lavra of the canonical UOC in the #Ternopil region.
▪️ The Czech Republic has sent 12 T-72M1 tanks as military aid to #Ukraine, bringing the total number of heavy equipment transferred to 62.

🚀 A little more than an hour ago, Ukrainian forces launched a S-200 SAM missile, modified to hit ground targets, in the direction of the Crimean bridge from the #Zaporozhye region.
🔹With the S-400 antiaircraft missile system, the flying missile was shot down at high altitude in the #Kerch region, and its fragments fell near Tuzla Island. A smoke screen was put up by special services, which was taken by eyewitnesses for arrivals.
📌 However, units of the 31st Air Defence Division again successfully repelled the attack. At the same time now in the sky in the south of Ukraine is still a carrier of cruise missiles Storm Shadow/SCALP, so the strike may not be the only one.

🗓 After midnight, residents of #Kerch (#Crimea) reported explosions in the sky over the city and the strait – our air defence was working. From 00:30 to the present, traffic on the Crimean Bridge is blocked. In addition, explosions were heard in the area of #Feodosiya, they write about the possible use of МБЭК.
🎯 The RF Armed Forces hit #Odessa and #Ilyichevsk with "Geraniums" at night. The enemy evaluates the attack as extremely intense.
🔹 In the #Kherson direction, the methodical destruction of enemy groups at the #Antonovsky Bridge at the dachas is underway. Fighting also continues in #Krynki.
🔹 On the #Zaporozhye front, #Rabotino is grey zone in which our units operate, reaching (again) the centre of the village near the school. According to estimates from the field, there are not enough copters of the right type, if there is, then it works according to an imperfect EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) plan. The enemy is moving reinforcements and is quite effective and often hits with artillery. Enemy reconnaissance drones operate up to 10 km from the line of contact deep into our defence, FPV drones due to the repeater system are even further away.
🔹 North of #Maryinka, the RF Armed Forces are entrenched on the outskirts of #Krasnogorovka. In the direction of #Kurakhovo, our troops are making their way through #Georgiyevka. They report on the successes in #Novomikhaylovka. Our MLRS are constantly working in the direction of #Ugledar from the north, plowing through the defensive structures of the AFU.
🔹 To the west of #Avdeyevka, the battle continues at #Berdychi, #Orlovka, the village of #Rassvet and #Tonenkoye. Ours are gradually moving forward, bombarding the enemy with FABs. There are heavy battles ongoing.
🔹 In the direction of #ChasovYar, the Russian Army is knocking out the AFU on the southwestern outskirts of #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye) west of #Artyomovsk. There are reports of fighting near #Bogdanovka to the north.
🔹 In the #Krasnyliman direction, our troops are advancing towards #Terny. They do not exclude the imminent start of fighting for the settlement itself.
💥 The AFU purposefully terrorise the population of the border regions. In the #Belgorod region, the outskirts of #Shebekino were attacked by a kamikaze drone: a passenger car was hacked at a private apartment building. The operator of the enemy's UAV clearly saw that there were no military targets in the vicinity. Novaya Tavolzhanka of the Shebekinsky city district was shelled. In the #Kursk region, as a result of the AFU shelling the Guyevo Sudzhansky district, buildings of trade facilities and one household were seriously damaged. On the peaceful population of the #DPR, the enemy fired about 50 shells. Having blown up on a PFM Petal mine, a man born in 1995 was injured.

💥 During the Night, the enemy tried to attack the transport infrastructure of #Kerch in #Crimea. The Crimean transport minister said that two ferries - a road ferry and a railway ferry - were hit by debris from downed missiles during the attack, and the glazing of the superstructures was damaged. There were no casualties among sailors and civilians. There were also reports of the destruction of enemy drone boats off the western coast of #Crimea. In the morning, the #Zaporozhye front observed up to 30 enemy aircraft-type UAVs.
🎯 The Russian Aerospace Forces launched a comprehensive air strike against enemy rear facilities. At first, several groups of ‘Geraniums’ solved the task of opening enemy air defences, in the middle of the night the enemy reported fixing missile launches from strategic Tu-95MS, as well as hypersonic ‘Kinzhal’ from MiG-31. 💥 During the Night, the enemy tried to attack the transport infrastructure of #Kerch in #Crimea. The Crimean transport minister said that two ferries - a road ferry and a railway ferry - were hit by debris from downed missiles during the attack, and the glazing of the superstructures was damaged. There were no casualties among sailors and civilians. There were also reports of the destruction of enemy drone boats off the western coast of #Crimea. In the morning, the #Zaporozhye front observed up to 30 enemy aircraft-type UAVs.
🎯 The Russian Aerospace Forces launched a comprehensive air strike against enemy rear facilities. At first, several groups of ‘Geraniums’ solved the task of opening enemy air defences, in the middle of the night the enemy reported fixing missile launches from strategic Tu-95MS, as well as hypersonic ‘Kinzhal’ from MiG-31. 🎯 Over the past day, the RFAF carried out pinpoint strikes against enemy facilities in #Kharkov,🎬👇 #Kiev, #Kropivnitsky, #Chuguyev and #Dnepropetrovsk. Enemy channels reported the use of our Iskander missiles.
💥In the evening, the enemy tried to strike #Crimea with air-launched Storm Shadow missiles, simultaneously launching decoys, according to the estimates of our monitoring channels. Parts of its missiles crashed in #Shchyolkino on the #Kerch Peninsula, without casualties, dachas were extinguished by fire crews.
🛡Over the #Kursk region, at night 15 aircraft-type UAVs were downed by air defence. 18 were defeated over the #Bryansk region.
🔹In the #Kharkov direction, oncoming battles continue. The RFAF attack in #Volchansk, foiling AFU tries of flank attacks. North of #Liptsy the AFU attempted a recon by combat, but failed.
💥#Belgorod region's peaceful residents were again under AFU terrorist strikes. Near the village of #Novoye, Volokonovsky district, an enemy FPV drone attacked a moving car with a family. A 4-year-old girl died, four adults were wounded. Drones hit the Bogun-Gorodok village, Borisovsky district, two civilians were wounded. In #Grayvoron a woman was wounded by a drone drop. The AFU also hit #Glotovo, #Spodaryushino, #Bezymeno, #Smorodino and #Poroz in the urban district, #Murom, #Arkhangelskoye in the Shebekinsky urban district.
🔹On the #Torskoye ledge and in the Serebryanskoye Forestry. the AFU have been attacking, occupying the forest grey zones for several days. No sense from such actions, but the enemy's ability to launch prolonged counterattacks indicates its ability not only to hold the front, but also to organise tries to repel certain tactical directions.
🔹In the #Dzerzhinsk (#Toretsk) area, MoD reported an interesting manoeuvre. Our troops covertly cleared and used a tunnel more than 3 km long along the Seversky Donets Canal and through the tunnel the stormtroopers entered the rear of a well-fortified support near #Kirovo with long-term firing points and underground shelters. It was taken, the enemy surrendered or fled.
🔹West of #Avdeyevka, the RFAF advanced along the railway line at #Novoaleksandrovka, in #Yevgenovka and at #Sokol there is an advance in a section up to 6km wide and 1km deep. To the south, attacks from #Netaylovo towards #Karlovka, we try to entrench in the eastern part of the Rassvet Garden Community. North of the reservoir, ours attack along the forest belt towards the Donbass Garden Community and around #Yasnobrodovka.
🔹On the #Zaporozhye front, the RFAF are increasing pressure on the right and left flanks of the #Rabotino wedge. Our MLRS are working extremely closely in the #Pyatikhatki area. The enemy takes advantage of its number of FPV drones, incl. night ones.
🔹In the #Kherson direction, Intense fighting continues on the islands. Our troops are trying to take control of difficult areas. The AFU Territorial Defence units are being thrown into battle for Dnieper floodplain, and newly mobilised militants, trying to stop our advance by numbers. Enemy drones also pose a serious problem on this front sector.
💥In the #Kursk region, the wreckage of a Ukrainian UAV fell in the village of #Gniloye in the Timsky district. #Gogolevka, #Daryino, #Oleshnya in the Sudzhansky district, #Gordeyevka, #Obukhovka, #Uspenovka in the Korenevsky district, #Yelizavetovka in the Glushkovsky district were repeatedly shelled. Drone attacks were recorded near the village of Gordeyevka, the villages of #Uspenovka and #Viktorovka in the Korenevsky district, the village of #Gogolevka in the Sudzhansky district, and the village of #Goptarovka in the Belovsky district.

🌟 On April 11, 1944, during the Crimean offensive operation, Soviet forces liberated #Kerch from Nazi occupiers.
Kerch was among the first cities to endure assaults from Hitler’s army at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. It found itself repeatedly on the front line, with the battlefront cutting through its very streets. Moreover, the city fell under enemy occupation twice.
Initially captured in November 1941, Kerch was liberated barely a month later in December, following the Kerch–Feodosia amphibious landing operation.
In the spring of 1942, the enemy amassed significant forces on the Kerch Peninsula and launched a renewed offensive. Despite the valiant resistance by the defenders, the city once again came under fascist control, remaining occupied for 320 days.
During that period, approximately 15,000 civilians lost their lives, and over 14,000 individuals were forcibly deported to Germany for slave labour.
🕯 #NoStatuteOfLimitations: The Bagerovo Ditch near Kerch gained tragic notoriety – a site of mass executions. Towards the end of 1941, around 7,000 people were executed and tortured there, including 245 schoolchildren. The Germans surreptitiously removed the children from the city and poisoned them with potassium cyanide.
The Nazi occupiers obliterated every factory, burned bridges and vessels, destroyed parks, and decimated the city’s infrastructure. Kerch was almost completely erased from the map.
One of the war’s most heroic episodes was the defence of the Adzhimushkay quarry. Thousands of civilians – elderly people, women, and children – sought refuge within the underground passages. The enemy attempted to exterminate them by sealing the entrances and using explosives and toxic substances. Nearly all the defenders perished, yet they continued to resist to the very end, rendering the quarry a symbol of unyielding courage and resilience.
⚔️ On the night of November 1, 1943, the Kerch-Eltigen amphibious landing operation commenced. Soviet forces established a bridgehead north of the city, marking a crucial phase in liberating the Kerch Strait and the entire Crimea. In the spring of 1944, this success was solidified during the Crimean offensive operation, culminating in the expulsion of the occupiers from the peninsula.
One of Kerch’s principal symbols became the Obelisk of Glory on Mount Mithridat, unveiled on August 8, 1944 – the first monument in the USSR dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
🎖 For the defence and liberation of the city, 153 individuals were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, and 21 military units and formations received the honorary designation “Kerch.”
