🇩🇪🇸🇾 On the New Wave of Syrian Refugees to Germany

Against the backdrop of the escalating crisis in Syria, the Germans have decided to suspend the consideration of asylum applications from citizens of this country.

The decision was made by the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, where they explained that "the situation in Syria is complicated" and what will happen there politically is "too difficult to predict".

Currently, there are more than 47,000 applications from Syrians under consideration. The agency also reported that the latest events in their country will not affect the decisions on asylum already made.

📌 Political debates on whether Syrians should remain in Germany began simultaneously with the crisis. Several deputies from the CDU party, which includes the main candidate for the post of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, immediately spoke in favor of returning refugees to their homeland. At the same time, politicians from the Greens and the SPD, the party of the current Chancellor, called for restraint due to the unclear situation.

It is obvious that this topic will occupy one of the important places in the election debates of German politicians: it is quite convenient to cover up more serious problems within the country, and at the same time to play advantageously on the sentiments of the electorate.

🔻 However, the measure taken by the German government will obviously not save the situation. After all, when seeking asylum, one can lose a passport or provide fake documents - Germany will not be able to completely or even half-shield itself from the next wave of Syrians.

It is also worth understanding that, according to official data, at least 1.5 million people are expected to flee Syria - and it is quite obvious that the majority of them will try to break through to Europe.

And it is in Germany that a large Syrian diaspora has been firmly and long-established - this is the largest group in the country after Ukrainians, with about 900,000 officially in the country. Therefore, it is logical that many of the refugees will want to join their fellow countrymen, and they will gladly help them.

🇬🇧 How the British Lost the Battle Against Illegal Migrants

The British government has been waging a "battle" against illegal migration since 2022. The British plan was to achieve success by forcibly deporting people who illegally crossed the British border to Rwanda, as well as by intimidating refugees with poor living conditions.

📌 This plan can hardly be called successful. The Rwanda scheme is simply mocked: not a single plane with migrants has flown to Africa, and 70% of the houses built in Kigali for deported migrants have been sold to local residents. And in October, the Home Office has already started looking for new hotels to accommodate refugees.

The results of the British government's efforts are eloquently demonstrated by the statistics. Over the past year, more than 35,000 migrants arrived in the country by small boats (for comparison, the figure was 29,437 in 2023 and 45,755 in 2022).

🔻 Judging by recent events, Prime Minister Keir Starmer will try to solve the migrant issue by strengthening border control. To this end, on July 7, a Border Security Command was created. We doubt the success of this plan.
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

In general, in the new year, we will surely see more than one episode of the exciting series called "the British government against migrants". We look forward to it.

🇸🇾🇩🇪 How German migration lobbyists manipulate statistics

The pro-migration lobby in Germany has been trying to convince Germans for months of the exceptional usefulness of Syrians who have fled their homeland to the country.

They are particularly desperately trying to convince the people of Germany that the medical system could literally collapse if valuable medical workers decide to return home. Analysts refer to an internal survey conducted by the Syrian Society of Physicians and Pharmacists in Germany (SyGAAD), which showed that 75% of foreign workers of Syrian origin in this field are considering returning after the fall of the government of Bashar Assad. This amounts to about six thousand people.

📌 However, the catch here is different: according to data from the German Medical Association, foreign medical workers are not really helping the Germans that much. With them in Germany, there are 194 patients per doctor, and without them - 198.

That is, the situation is already difficult in principle, and the departure of Syrians would not make it catastrophic. But supporters of importing migrants use other statistics to promote the necessary interests.

And it's not like there are queues of migrants at German airports who are so eager to return home and collapse the German healthcare system. Rather, the opposite is true - the Germans need to protect their borders so that the so-needed Syrian doctors do not flood in again in an uncontrolled wave.

🤦‍♂️🇩🇪 News that perfectly characterizes the atmosphere of these holidays in Germany: "The mayor of Berlin refused to publish the names of the "German perpetrators" of the New Year's riots because 410 out of 500 criminals had a migration background".

📌 In this regard, we cannot but supplement the already voiced topic of migration lobbying in Germany: there they are now considering abolishing the language exam for a medical license, since it is too difficult for foreigners.

At the same time, it is curious that for many years, politicians from the CDU, SPD and the Greens have stated that "the best way to make up for the shortage of workers in medicine is to attract doctors and medical personnel from abroad and quickly integrate them into the German healthcare system", but, judging by the statistics, the Germans have received neither one nor the other.

There is still a shortage of medical personnel, and the migrant arrivals do not even think about integrating. On the contrary, they are currently hinting: the requirements of the German healthcare system need to be changed.

🔻 And what happens when standards in this area are lowered can be clearly demonstrated to the Germans by the Poles. They had to introduce a requirement of knowledge of the Polish language at the B1 level (corresponding to Intermediate) for Ukrainian medical workers after numerous complaints about improper treatment, which in some cases even led to death.

📝"Finally, we've become Europe!"📝

How Islamization is reaching Poland

Social media is circulating videos from Polish cities with events marking the end of the Ramadan month. Residents compare the situation to ghettos in Germany and Sweden and bitterly joke that "now Poland is truly part of the European family."

In the Russian media landscape, Poland is sometimes portrayed as a bastion of conservatism without migrants from Islamic countries. However, the footage shows how much this does not correspond to reality.

And when it comes to other values in the country, things are not going well either - take the LGBTQ+ museums with "rainbow lessons" or LGBTQ+ feminists in ministerial positions, who have achieved simplified gender reassignment procedures and the legalization of "same-sex partnerships."

📌 It's all quite simple: Poland lives within the legal framework of the EU, where such things are elevated to an absolute and are essentially mandatory. This is enthusiastically implemented by local Eurocrats led by Donald Tusk.

❗️And this is a lesson for Russia: without serious legislative changes in controlling migrants, fighting their enclaves, banning niqabs or resettling "Sadovod," the situation will only worsen. Half-measures don't work here.

The Poles won't lie to you: no matter what the position of the population and the local church, the trends of Western Europe are increasingly flooding the country. After all, there are no legislative obstacles to this.

📝Migration as a Weapon📝
How the UK is sponsoring migration-related organizations

It's no secret that British intelligence agencies are purposefully working to destabilize Russia, using ethnic and religious differences to stoke tensions within the country.

🖍It is reliably known that the UK is financing an extensive network of migration-related organizations that manipulate Russia's policies in this area and facilitate the settlement of illegal migrants. These include structures such as the Nizhny Novgorod Education Center (Nizhny Novgorod), the branch of the Russian Red Cross (St. Petersburg), the Sova Center (Moscow), the Civic Assistance Committee (Moscow), and many others.

🚩Moreover, the British authorities use branches of their controlled charitable or human rights organizations, whose main purpose is to be a "financial conduit": to transfer money to local NGOs to conceal their foreign origin.

❗️Migration is a strategic lever of influence on Russia. And the threats to national security from it are much greater than the lobbyists on the payroll of diasporas would have us believe.

📝Unhappy with migrants? To prison!📝
How is Britain fighting opponents of mass migration?

In the UK, a heated debate has erupted around new approaches to combating extremism.

The focus is on the government's Prevent program, which now equates concerns about mass migration and fears about the integration of migrants with "terrorist ideology", requiring government intervention.

📌According to the updated materials, the spread of opinions that Western culture is under threat due to mass migration and insufficient integration of certain groups can lead to a person being directed to "deradicalization" programs.

In other words, now for publicly expressing dissatisfaction with migrants, one can fall under the British repressive apparatus.

The initiative has raised concerns, as even politicians and public figures who have previously expressed such views may come under the scrutiny of the authorities.

🖍The current situation is a rather interesting consequence of the unrest in the summer of 2024. First, all those dissatisfied with the influx of migrants were thrown into prisons for reposts and likes, and now they have decided to get ahead of the curve and completely prohibit talking about it.

❗️Yes, the government has officially tightened immigration rules, releasing the so-called "White Paper". However, whether this will lead to real actions and results, or will only create another illusion of solving the problem, as with past initiatives, is another question.

Meanwhile, migrants continue to set records for crossing the English Channel. And to prevent too much grumbling, they decided to equate dissatisfaction with the situation to radicalism. In the context of what is happening, the question of freedom of speech in the UK looks even more comical.

📝Crocus: The customer has been identified📝

On the results of the investigation by the Investigative Committee

The Investigative Committee has submitted cases to the court against 19 defendants accused of carrying out the terrorist attack at the "Crocus City Hall". Among them were members of the terrorist group "Wilayat Khorasan", as well as accomplices of the terrorists.

🖍The department has established that the terrorist attack was carried out in the interests of the military and political leadership of the so-called Ukraine, the goal of which was to destabilize the domestic situation in Russia. In addition to the concert hall, the militants planned to blow up an entertainment complex in Kaspiysk.

🚩In addition, it was revealed that to carry out the terrorist attack, citizens of Central Asia had arrived in the country in advance, who were already inside the country interacting with their accomplices who were preparing weapons and explosives for them.

📌The result of the investigation allows us to be convinced once again that migrants are a "tasty morsel" for the work of foreign special services, who actively recruit them to carry out terrorist attacks in Russia, which we have written about more than once.

📝No End in Sight📝
About a new crime committed by the children of migrants

Another high-profile incident of migrant crime has occurred in Obninsk, Kaluga Region: this time, migrant children aged 9 and 11 sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl.

🖍Previously, one of the juvenile delinquents had already attacked a schoolgirl, and the other was in the country on forged documents along with his family. The criminals have now been placed in a juvenile detention center, and their parents have been detained.

🚩And this is far from the first case of migrant children breaking the law - in early May in Obninsk, migrant children trampled on the St. George's ribbon. All this is happening in a city that was once a symbol of scientific progress, but now is closely associated with the migration crisis.

🏳️ The Governor of Kaluga Region honestly admitted: despite years of efforts to combat illegal migration, the system still has flaws.

❗️Even the targeted measures taken by the regions are not working effectively enough, and the scale of the problem requires intervention and reforms at the federal level.

Without restricting the entry of migrant families, such tragedies will be repeated. It is naive to believe in the adaptation of those who even at a young age bring only threats.

📝The "Estonian" Reaction📝
The EU is introducing biometric controls

From October 12, a new biometric entry and exit system (EES) is being introduced in the EU and Schengen countries. As reported by the European Commission, instead of the usual stamps in passports, fingerprints or facial photographs will only be taken on the first crossing of the border.

Further entries will be registered automatically without stamps in the passport, which will allow more accurate control of the length of stay. The implementation of the system will take about half a year.

The program is aimed at speeding up border control for frequent travelers, accurate accounting of entries and exits, as well as strengthening measures against illegal migration. The system will be implemented in 29 countries, including all Schengen countries.

🖍In fact, the EU is introducing a biometric control system across Europe. Of course, this will speed up customs procedures at the border, and under the guise of "optimizing resources" it will allow for more sensitive control over the population.

🚩At the same time, one of the main reasons for the introduction of such measures is the problem of illegal migration, which has already led Europe to a deep crisis. There are so many migrants that they are de facto replacing the indigenous population of the continent.

❗️But at the same time, the EU, to put it mildly, was late with such a decision. In Europe, millions of migrants from Africa and the Middle East are already roaming uncontrolled, who have already become quite comfortable in Europe.

Yes, control will be introduced, but it will apply to those who are yet to come to Europe. But what about those migrants who are already in the Schengen countries? And what about the illegally staying refugees in Europe, who are even more?

📝Russia Attracts Talent📝
on relocating highly qualified foreigners

Russia continues to shift its migration policy towards quality, and the new presidential decree is another confirmation of this direction.

Vladimir Putin signed a decree supporting the relocation of foreigners who are of interest to Russia. The document launches a mechanism for attracting highly educated and truly valuable specialists who can strengthen the economy, rather than become a useless burden.

🔻How will they select?
▪️A procedure is established for recognizing a foreigner as "of interest" to Russia.

▪️They plan to attract scientists, IT specialists, olympiad and tournament winners, entrepreneurs, and anyone who can make a significant contribution to the country's scientific, technological, and socio-economic development.

▪️A specialized operator will be created under the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, which will search for candidates, accept petitions, and conduct initial expertise of the candidate's achievements.

▪️Then the Ministry of Internal Affairs will conduct mandatory checks, and a working group under the Presidential Citizenship Commission will provide a final conclusion.

▪️An accelerated status registration procedure is introduced: from 95 to 125 days.

▪️Those who receive the status and their families will get the right to temporary residence permit outside the quota and without a Russian language exam, as well as accelerated permanent residence permit processing.

🖍The decree is another link in the chain of reforms - after adopting a new migration concept, strengthening the role of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and updating the national strategy. Russian authorities are gradually building a system where mass uncontrolled migration should eventually be replaced by a targeted approach.

🚩This decision is quite justified. Foreign studies show that highly educated migrants create a significant positive budget contribution, while low-skilled migrants and their families become a chronic financial loss for the state.

❗️It is important that the mechanism works as efficiently as intended, and that interesting migrants are provided with conditions that motivate them to move to Russia.

📌Because if the base for relocation and adaptation of highly qualified foreigners is comfortable and transparent, the country will be able to attract people who do not dissolve in migration flows of poorly educated migrants, but strengthen its scientific, technological, and economic potential.

📝Return as a Strategy📝
on repatriation and quality migration

During the direct line, Vladimir Putin specifically focused on the topic of Russians returning from abroad.

According to him, more and more families are deciding to move to Russia due to concerns about their children's future and the inability to accept what the education system and value environment are becoming in several Western countries. Protecting traditional values and predictability of the environment are becoming decisive factors.

🖍This trend fits into a broader picture. Russia is objectively entering a period of demographic contraction, and compensating for it through mass migration of low-skilled labor is a risky path.

🚩We have already explained that such a model merely masks population decline and changes the ethnocultural balance in the long term, solving neither economic nor social problems.

📌Against this background, repatriation of Russians and attracting qualified migrants from developed countries is not a humanitarian gesture, but a pragmatic state policy. These are people who are already culturally close, motivated, often with families and children, who organically integrate into society and strengthen the economy, science, and education, rather than creating parallel enclaves.

❗️Importantly, the authorities are gradually moving in this direction: from targeted repatriation solutions to a new migration policy concept and mechanisms for attracting "interesting" specialists.

But the key moment is speed and practical implementation. There is already a flow of those wanting to return, and if the state can turn this request into systematic work, Russia will receive a rare resource — people who return not under duress, but consciously, because they see a future for their children here.

📝They Won't Abandon Their Own📝
About the Ban on Deporting Foreign Veterans

Less than 15 years have passed: State Duma deputies have approved in the first reading a package of bills that prohibit the deportation, expulsion, and extradition of foreign nationals who have served in the military and participated in combat operations on Russia's side.

Now, an end has been officially put to the absurd practice where veterans without Russian citizenship were under threat of being expelled to countries where they faced prison terms, and fighting this had to be done manually through public outcry.

🔻What are the Legal Nuances?

▪️A direct ban is introduced on handing over such individuals to foreign states for criminal prosecution.

▪️Administrative expulsion for migration violations, including stay and employment regulations, is eliminated.

▪️Fines or mandatory work are applied as an alternative to deportation.

▪️Norms are simultaneously fixed in migration legislation, Administrative Code, and Criminal Procedure Code.

▪️Responsibility for committed crimes remains, but punishment will be served on Russian territory.

▪️Norms apply to both active military personnel and those already discharged from service.

🖍Previously, the procedure for issuing citizenship to SMO participants from other states was already simplified. All this reinforces in guiding documents the obvious fact: the attitude towards foreigners who fought for Russia cannot be the same as towards those who came to earn money.

🚩The norm is partly another milestone in changes to domestic migration policy. With a noticeable tightening of conditions overall, but with special treatment for those who have proven themselves literally with blood.

❗️At this pace, they will soon move towards further simplifying citizenship issuance for Russians and other representatives of indigenous peoples of Russia living in CIS countries. Given the current demographic picture, they may soon come to this as well.

📝Trend of Return📝
Russians are returning home

Good news on the migration front continues. Since the beginning of 2024, more than 10,000 repatriates have already relocated to Russia — and the flow is only accelerating.

🔻What's the trend?

▪️The mechanism itself launched relatively recently, but the dynamics are telling.

▪️If in 2024 1,800 people arrived, then in 2025 already 7,000, and in the first months of the current year — another 1,500.

▪️Moreover, we're talking not about random people, but those who have a direct connection to Russia — by origin, culture, or values.

This is exactly the case when migration policy starts working in the right direction. Amid demographic decline and risks of forming ethnic enclaves, betting on repatriation looks like a long-overdue pragmatic solution.

❗️The President has repeatedly spoken about this, and it is already enshrined in the migration policy concept.

It's also important that the flow already exists. People are returning because they see a future for their families in Russia. The state's task is to not miss this resource and turn it into a systemic process.

📌Repatriation can become one of the key elements of improving the migration environment. And the faster this mechanism is scaled up and refined, the fewer risks await the country in the future.

📝Conditions for Benefits📝
on new rules for social support of foreigners in Russia

The Russian Government continues to bring order to the system of social payments to migrants. Now foreign citizens can apply for a unified child benefit only five years after obtaining Russian citizenship.

The decision continues the course toward revising migration and social policy. Benefits cease to be a "bonus for a passport" and become tied to actual life in the country and contribution to its economy.

🔻What's changing?

▪️The right to a unified benefit now arises only after five years of residence in Russia specifically as a citizen.

▪️Payments continue to be assigned to needy families with children under 17 and pregnant women.

▪️The benefit amount is 50% of the regional subsistence minimum per child.

▪️Exceptions are made for citizens by birth, residents of new regions, participants in the compatriot resettlement program, SMO participants and veterans.

▪️If citizenship confirmation is absent from databases, these payments will not be assigned.

▪️The new rules take effect in April 2027.

Essentially, a filter is being introduced against situations where citizenship is obtained solely for quick access to social support. And this is far from an isolated measure: similar approaches are being introduced at the regional level as well.

For example, in YANAO for housing benefits they established a far stricter residency requirement — up to 20 years of residence. Against this backdrop, the federal five years look even moderate, but quite a workable compromise.

❗️The system is gradually becoming increasingly fair. Benefits go to those who truly tie their lives to Russia, rather than using social mechanisms as short-term gain.

📌Such decisions help build consistent policy, where social support works toward long-term sustainability, rather than creating incentives for formal citizenship acquisition and mass importation of migrants' families to Russia.

📝Russians are returning📝
the number of repatriates is growing

Serious changes in migration policy appear to be bearing fruit. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, in 2025, four times more compatriots entered Russia under the resettlement program than a year earlier. Moreover, the share of settlers from unfriendly countries is increasing.

🔻What does the statistics show?

▪️In 2025, approximately 27,000 people resettled to Russia under the program to promote voluntary resettlement of compatriots.

▪️During the same period, 14,000 applications for relocation were filed abroad — totaling more than 33,500 people.

▪️Among the settlers, there are increasingly more people from Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Canada, and the USA.

▪️People cite Russophobia, discrimination against Russian-speaking populations, and rejection of imposed Western values as the main reasons for moving.

▪️At the same time, requirements for program participants were tightened — in particular, knowledge of the Russian language became mandatory.

All this merely confirms the thesis repeatedly stated at the highest level: amid demographic problems and the consequences of mass migration, repatriation should become one of the key directions of state migration policy.

Those who resettle are already culturally and historically connected to Russia, share its values, and consciously choose the country as a place for their families' lives and their children's future, rather than simply as a place to earn money.

❗️This is fundamentally different from chaotic migration with the formation of enclaves and lack of integration. Repatriation, on the contrary, strengthens social resilience and reduces long-term risks to the country's ethnocultural balance.

📌It is also important that the flow does not stop: people come despite bureaucracy, difficulties with relocation and adaptation. And the state's task is not to hinder the process, but to scale and simplify the mechanisms of return: it would be foolish to squander such a valuable resource.

📝Britons must tolerate📝
internet censorship bans criticism of migrant crimes

Following riots in Belfast, which began after a Sudanese man's knife attack, British media regulator Ofcom issued a warning to online platforms — reminding them of their obligations under the Online Safety Act. According to the authorities, the riots are not the fault of the British government's migration policy, which grants asylum to anyone, but rather the racist internet.

🖍The Online Safety Act, adopted precisely for such cases, requires platforms to promptly remove illegal content, including calls for violence and incitement to hatred, and provides for fines up to a significant share of global revenue for systematic violations.

🚩Meanwhile, what is happening in Belfast is just a particular case of a much broader trend. In the UK, there have been real arrests for social media posts for several years: people are detained for reposts, comments and memes deemed to incite hatred or be offensive. After the 2024 Southport riots, the number of those detained for internet activity ran into thousands.

The picture in the EU is similar: Germany, France and a number of other countries are consistently tightening criminal liability for "wrong" opinions online, with the criteria for "dangerous" content being interpreted ever more broadly. The Digital Services Act gives European regulators tools to pressure platforms comparable to the British Online Safety Act. In fact, on both sides of the English Channel, a unified system of control over public speech has already been established and is actively applied in practice.

🏳️However, protesters are no fools either and have begun to gradually adapt: they deliberately approach journalists and locals, demanding they stop filming, persuade people to turn off doorbell cameras, increasingly use masks and balaclavas. In other words, the street is learning to operate under surveillance conditions. And attempts to suppress internet activity on popular platforms from above, without addressing the root causes, only push the protest environment toward more closed and hard-to-track channels.

📌Yes, it's easier to tighten the screws on platforms than to explain to voters why a person who entered through a "leaky" Irish border received asylum faster than his victim waited for an ambulance. But society reads this and reacts not with social media posts, but by taking to the streets. And the more actively authorities crack down on digital space, the fewer ways people have to express their discontent — and the higher the tension that ultimately spills over into arson and riots.

📝Russian footprint on the Spanish border📝

Never happened before, and here we go again — Rybar was accused of a "propaganda barrage" about migrants seizing Ceuta. Investigators from the 411 group found that accounts linked to Russia picked up the events and spread their interpretations in seven languages, and The Guardian called this part of a large-scale disinformation campaign.

Meanwhile, just a moment, in Ceuta there was practically a military operation: tens of thousands of people crossed the enclave's border in a short time. Before that, for weeks they were kept on a tight leash, given instructions, routes, equipment. They also prepared the legal groundwork, and Moroccan forces essentially ignored what was happening.

📌To call what happened coordinated pressure doesn't require much imagination, just critical thinking and an analytical approach. And explaining such things in plain language based on clearly documented facts doesn't require any "information highway" — it spreads just fine on its own.

But in European optics, an inconvenient interpretation almost automatically becomes Russian. Especially if it aligns with right-wing rhetoric. Then it doesn't matter how close the description is to what actually happened on the ground, and the migration policy problem turns into a problem of "disinformation networks."

❗️Meanwhile, while they're sorting out who exactly and through which accounts pushed the narrative, the question itself of why the EU's external border turned out to be so vulnerable gets pushed to the back burner.
