Per a release from the club, the Bavarians have signed Cuisance to a five-year contract that will run through June 20, 2024.Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidzic likes the potential of Cuisance:In his first professional season in Gladbach, Michaël Cuisance was already Gladbach’s ‘player of the season.’ He has a lot of technical skills and great potential. Michaël should develop with us. We are convinced that we will have a lot of fun with him.#Cuisance: "I know that this is a massive step for me. But, I feel ready and am very proud to be able to represent #FCBayern going forward." #ServusMichaël pic.twitter.com/ehcKT5fal6— FC Bayern English (@FCBayernEN) August 18, 2019Cuisance, who just celebrated his 20th birthday on Friday and spent crucial time developing at the Youth Academy of AS Nancy, acknowledged the magnitude of the move and said he was “proud” to be wearing the jersey of Die Roten:I know this is a big step for me. But I feel ready and I’m very proud to be wearing the jersey of FC Bayern in the future. For me personally, it’s great that some French players already play for Bayern. This will certainly help me with the integration into the team.Cuisance is expected to begin training with Bayern this week.Read more...

(Kicker)“Well-informed circles” now tell kicker that Leroy Sané’s transfer to Bayern Munich is not such a sure thing anymore. Apparently, because Sané has changed agents from David Beckham to LIAN Sports, the negotiations have to start all over again.Well informed circles claim that Leroy Sané's move to Bayern is by no means certain yet. Michael Cuisance wants to stay and assert himself at Bayern despite interest from AC Milan
FC Bayern Muenchen v FC Augsburg - Bundesliga Photo by Sebastian Widmann/Bongarts/Getty ImagesCuisance is adamant on staying in Munich and proving his worth as opposed to moving in the summer.Ever since joining Bayern Munich from Borussia Monchengladbach at the end of this summer’s transfer window, it hasn’t really worked out for Michael Cuisance. The midfielder has only made 4 appearances for the first team this season; 3 times in the Bundesliga and once in the DFB-Pokal. Most of his time has been spent playing with Bayern’s reserves in the 3. Liga, though he has had his fair share of injury problems as well.Per Manuel Bonke of Tz, Cuisance is ready and willing to stay in Munich to try and assert himself, despite interest from Serie A. Despite him hardly featuring for the first team, too, Bayern isn’t ready to let him go just yet. It seems that there’s an understanding between the player and the club that he should stay in Munich and do everything he can to prove himself. The COVID-19 pandemic could give him a larger window to do so and it also puts the summer transfer window in significant jeopardy. Even if he wanted to leave Bayern, it might not be as cut-and-dry of a process as it could be.Neben der Tatsache, dass der #FCBayern derzeit nicht plant, Michael #Cuisance abzugeben, schließt der Spieler selbst ein Engagement in der italienischen Serie A - und somit beim AC Mailand - komplett aus. Der junge Franzose möchte sich in München durchsetzen. #FCBTransfersommer https://t.co/W5rxebqI3B— Manuel Bonke (@mano_bonke) March 26, 2020Gazzetto dello Sport (via Football-Italia.net) had reported earlier this week that AC Milan were keen on acquiring Cuisance’s services during the next transfer window. The Rossoneri is facing the prospect of losing midfielders Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura as both of their contracts with Milan expire on June 30th of this year. Both players play integral roles in Milan’s midfield and it’s understood that the club’s chief scout, Geoffrey Moncada is a big fan of Cuisance’s. Moncada feels that the Frenchmen fits the bill for Milan perfectly; a young, inexpensive midfielder with plenty of potential to develop in a squad that’s less star-studded than Bayern’s. Moncada also tracked Cuisance during the U-20 World Cup in 2019 when the midfielder showcased strong performances playing for France. What do you all think? Should Cuisance stay and try to assert himself, or should we let him go for somewhere between 10 and 15-million Euros? Let us know in the comments section!Read more...

Hansi Flick explains Bayern Munich squad decisions
Bayern Munich - FC Schalke 04 Photo by Matthias Balk/picture alliance via Getty ImagesIn an unexpected move, Bayern Munich Hansi Flick dropped both Michaël Cuisance and Alexander Nübel in favor or Jamal Musiala and Sven Ulreich.Bayern Munich’s throttling at the hands of Hoffenheim left many scratching their heads, but no one was probably more confused than Michaël Cuisance and Alexander Nübel, who were dropped in favor of Jamal Musiala and Sven Ulreich respectively. While Musiala has been proving himself on the training ground and Ulreich is about as good a back-up goalkeeper as there is in the Bundesliga, leaving Cuisance and Nübel in the stands was certainly not something it would appear that either player had in mind for this season. Bei der Ulreich-Frage stieg er ein mit: „Er kennt unsere Philosophie...“ @SPORT1— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) September 27, 2020The translation, as provided by @iMiaSanMia:Hansi Flick on dropping Cuisance and Nübel: "Musiala was in the squad instead of Cuisance because he did very well recently - I'm very happy with Alex Nübel but today we decided for Ulreich. He (Sven) knows our philosophy" [@Plettigoal]— Quadruple Winners (@iMiaSanMia) September 27, 2020What does this mean for Cuisance and Nübel moving forward? It is tough to tell. For Nübel, it is hard to think that the 23-year-old will be able to break into the game-day squad ahead of Ulreich too much at this stage. As for Cuisance, the waters are a bit more murky. After entering a “midfield logjam” last season, Cuisance appeared to be on his way toward more field time this season after the departure of Thiago Alcantara and the much-rumored exit for Javi Martinez. Still just 21-years-old, Cuisance has a lot of time to develop, but could grow impatient if he is not at least consistently dressing for games. We should get a better read on how Bayern Munich will handle the immediate future for each player in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!Read more...

FC Nantes v Olympique Marseille - Ligue 1Photo by Jonathan Bartolozzi/Olympique de Marseille via Getty ImagesCould it be a one-and-done loan stint for Bayern Munich’s Michaël Cuisance with Olympique Marseille?Michaël Cuisance started his loan spell at Olympique Marseille in impressive fashion, but things seem to have cooled down a lot. Cuisance has not had the most productive season and lost one of his biggest internal supporters when Andre Villas-Boas resigned from his managerial duties. Now, it seems as if Cuisance would probably like to stay in France, but it does not look likely that Olympique Marseille will pull the trigger on its €18 million purchase option. This news will surely be a blow to many who were hoping to see Bayern Munich generate revenue through the sale of Cuisance and other loanees.Tz’s Manuel Bonke tweeted that Cuisance’s future with Marseille will be determined later this month, but it was largely dependent on what kinds of plans new manager Jorge Sampaoli has for Cuisance:Eine Entscheidung über eine mögliche Rückkehr von Michael #Cuisance von Marseille zum #FCBayern im Sommer fällt frühestens Ende März. Bisher hat er sportlich enttäuscht— Christian Falk (@cfbayern) March 1, 2021To be TRUE: At the moment, Cuisance has no good cards at @OM_Officiel that the club wants to pull its purchase clause. FC Bayern München v 1. FC Köln - Pre-Season FriendlyPhoto by Christian Kaspar-Bartke/Getty ImagesNagelsmann wanted to see players like Zirkzee, Cuisance, and Chris Richards in a match before he and the front office make any decisions regarding loan moves.Bayern Munich’s first preseason match against 1. FC Köln included many players from the second team and from the academy. While Julian Nagelsmann had a lot to look at in his first match in charge of Bayern, he reportedly had a plan to get a look at certain players, before deciding on their futures. Es soll die beste Entscheidung für deren Entwicklung getroffen werden.— Philipp Kessler (@kessler_philipp) July 17, 2021It was Nagelsmann’s desire in the preparations to personally see players like #Zirkzee, #Cuisance, and C. #Richards. Only then will he and the bosses decide how to go forward with these talents. The best decision should be made for their development. The three mentioned players — along with Taylor Booth — have all come back from loan stints this summer and Bayern’s coaching staff and front office trying to come up with the best solution for them. Zirkzee, Richards, and Booth all started and played the first half, while Cuisance came on at halftime and played the rest of the match. Zirkzee scored Bayern’s second goal, which was assisted by Booth. Both players were quite active in the attack — both on and off the ball. Richards didn’t have his best showing. While nothing was terribly wrong, it just seemed like he and Dayot Upamecano couldn’t get on the same page. Cuisance also wasn’t super impressive, but did manage to put in some decent service into the box in the second half as Bayern was searching for a late equalizer. With most of the first team missing today, the players available had a key chance to make Nagelsmann’s decisions tougher when he and the front office make decisions about who stays in Munich, who goes on loan, and who plays with Bayern II. Although we may want to see some of the young talent stay with Bayern, we must remember that their development and the future is what is the most important thing — except with Cuisance, who knows what we are going to do with him?!

Führich would have been a different look at wing for Bayern Munich, but the New World Order in the front office seems like it is going to have another go at surrounding Harry Kane with shoot-first options on the wing once again rather than someone who might have a different style of play. Kompany could also deploy a 4-4-2 as has been rumored as well, which could further complicate matters as it pertains to the club’s current — and targeted — personnel. Many fans will not shed a tear over not inking Führich, but different profiles at wing (or wide midfielder) could have been valuable.
