And he has become a good friend of mine. I’m hoping for an extension from him.” #FCBayern #GnabryWhile the case can certainly be made that Gnabry has earned a new deal, the logistics could prove difficult. Gnabry wants a big salary and a prominent role on the squad — and neither of those two requests can be guaranteed.Should Gnabry seek to move on, the forward will have no shortage of suitors.

While Bayern is still linked with Rennes’ Mathys Tel, he’s only 17 years of age and not quite ready to replace a seasoned veteran on his own.As far as incoming transfers, Bayern’s efforts are still centered on Juventus and Netherlands center back Matthijs de Ligt. Sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidžić was recently in Turin to negotiate a deal between the two clubs. Brazzo told journalists that felt the talks had gone well, and it certainly seems like the De Ligt topic will consume much of Bayern’s remaining attention — and resources — for this transfer window.Mané, meanwhile, is the man of the hour after arriving in a blockbuster deal from Liverpool, and Serge Gnabry is on the verge of extending his stay in Munich. It’s a system that works very well with the group they’ve got, but the dynamic has always been a bit different at Bayern, which has for so long been used to having a natural striker in the squad. Different managers at Bayern have experimented with different systems, all of which are striker-centric.Gnabry, for both Germany and Bayern, has played as Bayern’s most advanced central attacker on numerous occasions before, but much like Mané, he’s arguably better on one of the wings and shouldn’t be relied upon as the sole striker. The idea…

FC Bayern München Training Session Photo by S. Mellar/FC Bayern via Getty Images Can Serge Gnabry make an impact upon his return? Bayern Munich wingers Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane have racked up a lot of wear-and-tear this season. With Serge Gnabry out with an injury, the duo — along with seldom-used options on the flank like Thomas Müller, Mathys Tel, and Jamal Musiala — have had to carry a big workload for the left wing and right wing positions. Now, though, Gnabry’s comeback has a timeline for his return. According to kicker journalist Georg Holzner, Gnabry is making progress and could be ready to return to the squad in six weeks: ❗️ Update Serge #Gnabry: Nach #kicker-Informationen befindet sich der Angreifer in seinem Reha-Plan in etwa bei Halbzeit. Er wird dem #fcbayern voraussichtlich noch bis Anfang März fehlen. In rund sechs Wochen sollte er, wenn alles glatt läuft, sein Comeback geben können. ⚪️— Georg Holzner (@georg_holzner) January 24, 2024❗️ Update Serge #Gnabry: According to #kicker information, the attacker is about halfway through his rehab plan. He will probably be missing from #fcbayern until the beginning of March. If everything goes smoothly, he should be able to make his comeback in around six weeks. ⚪️Gnabry’s season has been marred by uneven play and injuries, but the Germany international still possesses the talent to make an impact in the Bayern Munich lineup. Where he fits into Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the rest of the season, remains to be seen, though. Gnabry has one goal and no assists in 11 games across all competitions this season.

Donato/FC Bayern via Getty Images Bayern Munich will be shorthanded against RB Leipzig. Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel addressed his team’s injury situation during his press conference ahead of its Bundesliga match against RB Leipzig. As expected, there was not much good news to spread. “Kingsley Coman, Sacha Boey, Noussair Mazraoui, Bouna Sarr, Serge Gnabry and Alphonso Davies are still out. Dayot Upamecano is suspended. The decision has removed a disruptive factor, an excuse, but not much has changed in terms of match preparation. I won’t let up one percent.”Davies, Gnabry work individuallyAlphonso Davies and Serge Gnabry took part in individual workouts, which was a bad sign for Davies’ chances to play against RB Leipzig. As noted in the opening segment of this report, Tuchel confirmed Davies was, indeed, out for the game. Arsenal FC v FC Bayern Munchen: Quarter-final First Leg - UEFA Champions League 2023/24 After a stunning comeback, Serge Gnabry is injured again. According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich star Serge Gnabry will miss two-to-three weeks due to a hamstring injury: ⚠️ Serge #Gnabry most likely suffered a muscle fiber tear in the left rear thigh. Further examinations will follow.➡️ He is expected to be out for at least 2-3 weeks.CEO Dreesen last night about Gnabry: “He scored a fantastic goal. Wishing you a speedy recovery, especially after today’s fantastic performance.“ @SkySportDEWith Gnabry out, Leroy Sané still hurt, and Kingsley Coman ineffective vs. Arsenal FC in the Champions League, head coach Thomas Tuchel is going to have to look at his options moving forward. Veteran Thomas Müller could slide into the attacking midfield role, which would push Jamal Musiala to wing, or Tuchel could opt for youngster Mathys Tel. It does not appear as if Bryan Zaragoza will be a serious option for the manager at this point. Looking for an in-depth review of the game? There was a time where Serge Gnabry’s name was synonymous with Bayern Munich’s success. However, following a couple of sub par seasons riddled with injury issues, the 28-year-old winger’s future at Bayern Munich hangs in the balance. Many Bayern Munich fans have suspected Bayern are keen to move Gnabry on in favour of new blood. Now, Sky Sport’s Florian Plettenberg seems to share these suspicions, should the right conditions be met. News #Gnabry | A departure is only conceivable for him if a big club enquires!

That’s currently the tendency➡️ There’s also no price tag for him yet. Bayern is open to selling the 28 y/o top-earner but it’s not yet decided. Especially since he’s popular within the club and his performance is usually solid when he’s 100 % fit. 4 goals and 1 assist in his last 5 matches. ➡️ Right now, he’s focusing on recovering from his muscle fiber tear. Contract valid until 2026.The departure of Gnabry depends on a big “if”. That “if” being an enquiry from a big club.Serge Gnabry has recently been linked to the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and even former London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur. All of those clubs can easily be considered big. The interest at this point does however appear to be loose, with no solid enquiries. The fact that Bayern do not yet have a price on Gnabry, compounded by the lack of concrete interest, his desire to remain at the club and a contract that runs through to 2026 all point towards the former Arsenal man staying put. While a Gnabry stay is looking more likely than not, his injury record and middling form may be causing Bayern to think twice about the future of one of its top earners. Although, with four goals and one assist in his last five games, Chef Gnabry has shown that he is still capable of cooking for the ever hungry Bayern brass. What are your thoughts? Is it time for Bayern to move Serge Gnabry on, or does he still have something to offer? Let us know in the comments.

FC Bayern Munich Audi Summer Tour 2024 In Asia Photo by F. Noever/FC Bayern via Getty Images The German win might still have a future with Bayern Munich... If there is one player above all others, who has benefitted from putting in work in front of new coach Vincent Kompany, it might be Serge Gnabry. Gnabry, who turned in an extremely strong effort against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, seems to be winning over the coaching staff — and maybe the club higher-ups as well — with his performances so far.Sky Sport journalist posted Florian Plettenberg posted that Gnabry has made strides so far under Kompany: Serge #Gnabry has made a very good impression under the new coach Vincent #Kompany so far. Clear tendency: he will stay at FC Bayern.Despite all of that, Gnabry’s position on the squad is still in question. With competition from Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman (as of now), Michael Olise, Mathys Tel, and Arijon Ibrahimović for a starting position, it is no certainty that Gnabry will have a key role under Kompany. Factoring in that Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, Thomas Müller, and Raphaël Guerreiro could also see time at wing on occasion, the position group is very crowded. And none of that factors in what happens if Bayern Munich succeeds in its pursuit of Désiré Doué.Looking for more thoughts and analysis on Bayern Munich’s developing midfield situation, where Joshua Kimmich fits into it, and how it will have an effect on several other players? What about our takes on the transfer situations surrounding Jonathan Tah and Bryan Zaragoza, plus some key things to look out for as Bayern prepares to face Tottenham Hotspur (again!)? FC Bayern München v Borussia Dortmund - Bundesliga Photo by Sebastian Widmann/Getty Images Reports indicate Serge Gnabry is bound to stay one more year in Munich. Serge Gnabry has had a rollercoaster of a career. From having to prove himself at several clubs, he finally got the chance to be a star at Bayern Munich. It wouldn’t take long for Gnabry to make his impact, and was once valued at 90 million euros during the time of Bayern’s famous Champions League conquest in 2020. Fast forward to today, the situation has greatly changed.Although Gnabry has still managed to get 6 goals and 3 assists in limited playtime this season, his production has certainly dropped from his time during 2018-2023 where he consistently reached 20+ goal contributions each season.Bayern Munich appears ready to unload several players in order to fundraise for a star such as Florian Wirtz, and it seemed as though Gnabry would be the top sale alongside Kingsley Coman. As of now, Serge #Gnabry is set to stay at FC Bayern next season. No transfer is planned, the market is not being explored, and no talks are currently ongoing.

His contract runs until 2026 and Gnabry definitely wants to stay.
