🟢 The significance of the event of al-Mubahala

🔷1. It proved to be a silencing lesson for all the Christians of Arabia who no longer dared any competition with the Holy Prophet (S.A.W).

🔶2. The invitation of 'Mubahala' was directed by God, and it was in compliance with His Command that the Holy Prophet took his Ahl al-Bayt along with him to the field of Mubahala. This serves to generalize how affairs pertaining to Apostleship and the religion of God are determined by the Will of God; allowing no margin of interference from the common people (Ummah). The matter of Imam Ali's succession followed by eleven Imams to the office of religious leadership should be viewed in this perspective.

🔷3. The indispensability of ‘Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan and al-Husayn in following the precepts of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) could no longer be disputed. This event established who the members of the Prophet’s household (Ahl al-Bayt) were, and their spiritual purity.

🔶4. That notwithstanding their childhood, Imam al-Hasan and Imam al-Husayn did, nevertheless, serve as the active partners of the Holy Prophet in the field of Mubahala. This yields the conclusion that age is no criteria for the greatness of the infallibles (Ma’sumeen). They are born adorned with virtues and knowledge.

🔷5. That the Holy Prophet's act of having preferred a few obviously elevates their status above all others.

🔵 As #Islam emerged triumphantly over #Christianity on the occasion of #Mubahala, this historic event is celebrated as a festival (‘Eid) of thanksgiving for the triumph of the #truth of the message of #Islam.

When I became a Muslim, I didn't feel that I betrayed Christianity. Instead, I had found the true essence of Christianity. I have returned to my true home, where I should be. I truly miss Mecca and Medina; not for their buildings, but for the serenity you experience there alongside thousands of other Muslims. It's an unparalleled experience."

▪️ However, in the time of the appearance of the Imam Mahdi, he will unveil the original Torah and Gospel, using them to prove the truth of the Prophet's religion and the Shia faith.

▪️ Where is the original version of the Holy Scriptures now? And who possesses them?

✅ Antioch, Turkey

▪️ As narrated by Sadouq in Al-'Ilal Al-Shara'i, Imam Baqir states that Imam Mahdi will reveal the original Torah and Gospel from Antioch and use them to argue with religious minorities:

"When our Qa'im rises...he will bring out the Torah and other divine books from a cave in Antioch." [1]

▪️ Antioch, an ancient city in the Roman Empire, is located about 20 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, now part of Turkey. In ancient times, it was one of the three major cities of the Roman Empire, renowned for its wealth, knowledge, and commerce. [2]

▪️ Christians referred to Antioch as the "City of God," the "Royal City," and the "Mother of Cities," as it was the first city where the people collectively embraced the teachings of Christ. Paul and Barnabas preached there, making it a major hub for the spread of Christianity. [3][4]

▪️ Antioch holds a special place in Mahdaviat narratives. After Imam Mahdi’s appearance, emissaries will retrieve the Torah and Gospel from a cave in Antioch, and these scriptures will be used to argue with Jews and Christians. [5][6][7][8]

✅ Jerusalem, Palestine

▪️ Imam Mahdi will reveal the original Torah and Gospel from Tiberias, northern Palestine:

"The Mahdi will reveal the Ark of the Covenant from the Sea of Tiberias, and it will be carried and placed before him in Jerusalem." [9]

▪️ In some narrations, Imam Mahdi assigns this mission to Jesus himself. [10]

✅ Antioch or Palestine? Both!

▪️ Both are correct. There are multiple original and ancient versions of the Torah and Gospel hidden in the holy sites of Christians and Jews, unknown to the general public, except for the Jewish scholars and Christian clergy.

▪️ Furthermore, the "Ark of the Covenant," mentioned in the Qur'an as the "Ark of Tranquility" for the Jews, which was passed from Prophet David to Solomon, is believed to be hidden in Palestine and contains the original Torah.

▪️ The Qur'an refers to the contents of the "Ark of the Covenant" as:

"The remnants of what the family of Moses and the family of Aaron left behind." [11]

▪️ These contents include the tablets of Moses, his staff, and other relics. [12] As mentioned in Al-Ghaybah:

"I heard from Abu Abdullah: Moses' staff is in the Sea of Tiberias..." [13]

▪️ The original Torah and Gospel are known to Jewish scholars. Although they know Islam is the truth, they persist in their misguided beliefs, leading many Christians astray. However, the time will soon come when the truth is unveiled.

- Hypocrites = Those who rejected Imamah despite knowing the truth.

3️⃣ Ali ibn Ibrahim’s Clarification
The verse condemns theological extremism, specifically:
- Claiming Jesus is God (Christianity).

✔ Avoid exaggeration in religion—truth lies in moderation (Tawheed, not deification).
