🎼28 July 1741. Antonio Vivaldi, "The Red Priest", passed away aged 63 in his city: Venice. #Vivaldi is considered one of the best composers and virtuoso violinists in the entire history of classical music!
His masterpiece violin concerto The Four Seasons is still today one of the most famous, appreciated and perfomed classical operas all over the world! Vivaldi is also a high influence for all contemporary guitar virtuosos 🎸
Hard to believe, his immortal works and career could happen thanks to his illness (asthma) which prevented Vivaldi to celebrate Massess in Venice: he could live a secluded life as a priest and completely dedicate to his only passion, music! 🎶🎵🎻

50 years ago Black Sabbath from Birmingham, #UK released their 6th studio album.
Sabotage was recorded in the midst of a legal battle with the band's former manager, Patrick Meehan, its title was inspired by that.
Despite these tensions, Sabotage is widely considered one of the best #BlackSabbath, for sure the closest thing to Progressive Rock they ever did.
Absolute masterpiece, one of my favorites from them ❤️🔥🤘

Though lacking of significant hits, the album sold well (at the time R.E.M. best seller) and paved the way to their enormous success and recognition as one of the most influential Alternative Rock bands.
