๐ŸŽผ Always great to see and hear Tony Iommi back with some tremendous riffs... not by chance he's always been referred as the Lord of Riff in the Heavyโšก๏ธMetal scene!
This time he wrote this instrumental track inspired by the scent of a #Xerjoff fragrance ๐Ÿ˜ณ... and it couldn't be anything but the Scent of Dark ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

The guy giving perfumes and playing guitar with Iommi in this video is Sergio Momo, Italian owner of Xerjoff! ๐ŸŽธ๐ŸคŸ

๐ŸŽผ 5 years ago in 2017, Tony Iommi, the Riff God ๐ŸŽธ and Iron Man ๐Ÿ˜ˆ of Heavyโšก๏ธMetal, decided to give back something to his city, Birmingham.
He has a friend who is the choir director of Birmingham Cathedral and he wrote a song for them! ๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ”

Ozzy Osbourne
๐Ÿ“€ Speak Of The Devil
#HeavyMetal

40 years Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne from Birmingham, #UK released 2 live albums at the same time.

The 2 albums have much in common:

1- #BlackSabbath publishing deal with their previous management had expired early that year; it meant that by re-recording Sabbath 1970s songs all songwriters would benefit from the publishing royalties: and both Sabbath and Ozzy were desperately in need of money!

2- Both albums led to the 2 band's breakup, read here the reasons why:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Speak Of The Devil, the album nobody wanted to record
๐Ÿ‘‰ Live Evil, mutual accusations Black Sabbath / R.J. Dio

In Live Evil:
#TonyIommi โ€“ guitar
#GeezerButler โ€“ bass
#RonnieJamesDio โ€“ vocals
#VinnyAppice โ€“ drums
#GeoffNicholls โ€“ keyboards

In Speak Of The Devil:
#OzzyOsbourne - vocals, harmonica
#BradGillis - guitar
#RudySarzo - bass
#TommyAldridge - drums

Black Sabbath
๐Ÿ“€ Headless Cross
#HeavyMetal

35 years ago Black Sabbath from Birmingham, England, #UK released their 14th studio album.

Headless Cross is generally considered the best #BlackSabbath album of the "Tony Martin era" (so addressed after the vocalist). In my opinion this is also one of the best 1980s Heavy Metal and today my cassette plays loud in #VeniceRocksRoomโ˜๏ธ

Superb album๐Ÿค˜โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

In this album:
#TonyMartin โ€“ vocals
#TonyIommi โ€“ guitars, production

Black Sabbath
๐Ÿ“€ Black Sabbath
#HeavyMetal

It was Friday 13 of 55 years ago when Black Sabbath from Birmingham, England #UK, released their self-titled debut album.

Scary album cover, haunting guitar riff, wicked and unique vocals... after few notes the entire Rock scene was ready for a change, since this is unanimously regarded as the first Heavy Metal album, and #BlackSabbath as the most influential band in the genre and all its subgenres.

The album contains 2 cover songs, "Evil Woman" of #Crow and "Warning" of #AynsleyDunbarRetaliation.

Still shivering like the first time I put on my vinyl in #VeniceRocksRoomโ˜๏ธ

Black Sabbath
๐Ÿ“€ Sabotage
#HeavyMetal #ProgressiveRock #ProgressiveMetal

50 years ago Black Sabbath from Birmingham, #UK released their 6th studio album.

Sabotage was recorded in the midst of a legal battle with the band's former manager, Patrick Meehan, its title was inspired by that.

Despite these tensions, Sabotage is widely considered one of the best #BlackSabbath, for sure the closest thing to Progressive Rock they ever did.

Absolute masterpiece, one of my favorites from them โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿค˜

In this album:
#OzzyOsbourne โ€“ vocals, synthesizer
#TonyIommi โ€“ guitars, piano, synthesiser, organ, harp

Black Sabbath
๐Ÿ“€ Paranoid
#HeavyMetal

55 years ago Black Sabbath from Birmingham, England #UK, released their 2nd studio album.

Paranoid came out few months after the band's ๐Ÿ‘‰ debut album.
It brought the heaviest guitar riffs ever heard at the time and disclosed to the world this new music genre: Heavyโšก๏ธMetal.

Virtually every musician who started a Heavy Metal band in the next years, decades (and perhaps centuries) did it because of this!

"You can only trust yourself and the first six #BlackSabbath albums"๐Ÿค˜
- Henry Rollins

In this album:
#OzzyOsbourne โ€“ vocals
#TonyIommi โ€“ guitars, flute
#GeezerButler โ€“ bass

Black Sabbath
๐Ÿ“€ Seventh Star
#HeavyMetal #HardRock

40 years ago Black Sabbath from Birmingham, #UK, released their 12th studio album.

Seventh Star came out 3 years after the previous ๐Ÿ‘‰ Born Again and was originally intended as the first solo album of guitarist Tony Iommi.
#BlackSabbath in fact did not officially disband, but Iommi put the band on hiatus since at the time he was the only remaining original member.
The record company pushed Iommi to still use the Black Sabbath monicker, that's why the album was published as "Black Sabbath featuring Tony Iommi".

Despite being negatively recieved by critics and generally poorly reviewed, this is a great album โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

In this album:
#TonyIommi โ€“ guitars
#GlennHughes โ€“ vocals
#EricSinger โ€“ drums
#DaveSpitz "The Beast" โ€“ bass
#GeoffNicholls โ€“ keyboards

Black Sabbath
๐Ÿ“€ Master Of Reality
#HeavyMetal

55 years ago Black Sabbath from Birmingham, England #UK, released their 3rd studio album.

For this album Iommi and Butler downtuned their instruments, achieving what Iommi called a "bigger, heavier sound"๐Ÿค˜
For this reason Master Of Reality is not only considered a Heavy Metal milestone, also the forefather of #StonerRock / #SludgeMetal.

The album begins with a tape loop of Tony Iommi coughing from a joint he was smoking with Ozzy Osbourne, perfect introduction to the opener "Sweet Leaf", an overt ode to marjuana.

The proto speed metal "After Forever", the anthem "Children Of The Grave", the stunning psychedelic walz "Solitude", the final stoner "Into The Void"...

Essential #BlackSabbath, total masterpiece โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

In this album:
#OzzyOsbourne โ€“ vocals
#TonyIommi โ€“ guitars, synthesiser, flute, piano
#GeezerButler โ€“ bass
#BillWard โ€“ drums, percussion, sleighbells
