40 years Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne from Birmingham, #UK released 2 live albums at the same time.
The 2 albums have much in common:
1- #BlackSabbath publishing deal with their previous management had expired early that year; it meant that by re-recording Sabbath 1970s songs all songwriters would benefit from the publishing royalties: and both Sabbath and Ozzy were desperately in need of money!
2- Both albums led to the 2 band's breakup, read here the reasons why:
👉 Speak Of The Devil, the album nobody wanted to record
👉 Live Evil, mutual accusations Black Sabbath / R.J. Dio

55 years ago Jimi Hendrix from Seattle, #USA released his second studio album with his band The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
Axis: Bold As Love came out just 7 months after
👉 Hendrix debut album and, like its predecessor, it was entirely recorded in London, #UK and produced by #ChasChandler.
Jimi didn't like the album cover at all, it was published anyway without his consent.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience were:

#NoelRedding – bass, backing vocals, vocals
#MitchMitchell – drums backing vocals
