📜🎼🎙🔊9 April 1860. An anonymous passerby in Paris is singing on the street "Au Claire de La Lune" a French popular 18th century song. A guy who will then become an inventor is able to capture and record from his window the passerby's voice as a phonautogram on paper 😳 (later in decades evolved in phonographs and grammophones thanks to further inventions).
We all love music and listening to it, don't we 😃? All the music we listen to is recorded, with so many different technologies... but recorded !
If today we can enjoy our favorite music, this is also partly due to that guy in Paris called Edouard-Leon Scott de Martinville, who on that #9April made the first known and oldest surviving recording of the human voice!!! 🗣🙌👏

🎼6 December 1980. After months of rehearsals in Via de' Bardi in #Florence, #Italy, a local rock new wave post-punk band with Mediterranean vibes was ready for their first live appearance: the concert was held in a nearby small town, Settignano, in a place which was more similar to a room than a venue, at the local "Casa del Popolo". More than 200 rockers from Florence gathered that night and the young musicians (all in their 18eens) realized they could carry on as a band which they named Litfiba 🤟❤️‍🔥
#Litfiba soon became a cult band with a distinctive sound and harsh political lyrics, respected and acclaimed all over Europe despite their singing only in Italian, surely also due to the charismatic presence of #vocalist Piero Pelù.
In 1989 three original members left the band and Litfiba completely changed their sound to a more commercially succesful rock/hard rock, thus becoming the most famous Italian rock band.

40 years ago Litfiba from #Florence, #Italy released their debut studio album.

After years spent in the 👉 Italian Rock underground scene and the collaboration with 👉 Diaframma few months earlier, Litfiba were able to build a strong fanbase.

Desaparecido was published by I.R.A. Records and immediately became a cult release. It's the first of 3 chapters (albums) of what #Litfiba called "Trilogia Del Potere".

Irregardless of the genre, a Must for every Italian Rocker ❤️‍🔥
