🎼7 November 1981. 40 years ago Ozzy Osbourne released his second studio album which will gain him forever the nickname "Madman" within the Heavy⚑️Metal scene. The album is in fact entitled Diary of a Madman πŸ‘Ή
It's the last studio album featuring legendary #guitarist and Ozzy's friend Randy Rhoads who would leave this world few months later πŸ˜”
As for many episodes in #OzzyOsbourne career and life, this album raised endless controversies and lawsuits, because most of the musicians involved remained uncredited, thus not getting payed and not earning any royalies for their work πŸ€¦β€β™‚
Here's the first track of the album with the stunning intro riff🀘 by (uncredited) #drummer #LeeKerslakeπŸ₯ and #RandyRhoads🎸

🎼19 March 1982.
40 years ago Randy Rhoads, one of the most talented Heavy⚑️Metal #guitarist, left this world in a stupid plane crash aged 25... he played his last concert the night before and he could have stayed sleeping in the tour bus with his friends and band mates #OzzyOsbourne, #TommyAldridge, #RudySarzo... or he could have just stayed on the ground taking pictures with #DonAirey (who was on that fun flight taken without permission by their tour bus driver high on drugs, just minutes before Randy)...
Randy was afraid of flying and he flew away πŸ˜”

#HardRock #ProgressiveRock #HeavyMetal

50 years ago Uriah Heep from London, #UK released their 4th studio album Demons and Wizards.
There are works in Rock Music History that everyone should listen to once in a lifetime... this is one of that IMHO.

The album had generally positive reception and reviews, a fair commercial success, but became highly praised in following years, most notably within the Heavy Metal scene: drummer Lee Kerslake who had just joined #UriahHeep in 1972, later recalled that Demons and Wizards was the favorite and most inspiring album for legendary 🎸#RandyRhoads when the both were in Ozzy Osbourne's band.

Uriah Heep in this album were:
#DavidByron – lead vocals
#MickBox – lead guitar
#KenHensley – keyboards, backing, co-lead vocals, guitars, percussion
#GaryThain – bass
#MarkClarke – bass, co-lead vocals
#LeeKerslake – drums, backing vocals, percussion

Quiet Riot
πŸ“€ Metal Health
#HeavyMetal #HardRock

40 years ago Quiet Riot from L.A., #USA released the 3rd studio album.

Metal Health became 1 of the most important albums in Heavy Metal history!
The first single, πŸ‘‰ Slade cover "Cum On Feel the Noize" peaked US charts, the titletrack πŸ‘‰ Metal Health (Bang Your Head) became an anthem for generations of "Headbangers", the album was the first Heavy Metal ever to reach Billboard n.1🀘 thus starting the 1980s #HairMetal golden age.

The song "Thunderbird" was written years before by vocalist DuBrow as a tribute to #QuietRiot founder #RandyRhoads, at the time guitarist extraordinaire for Ozzy Osbourne.
After πŸ‘‰ Randy Rhoads tragic death DuBrow completed the lyrics.

In this album:
#KevinDuBrow β€“ vocals
#CarlosCavazo β€“ guitar, backing vocals
#RudySarzo β€“ bass, backing vocals
