🎼 I recently found out about this song and this guy, #JohnMann.
He was the leader of #SpiritOfTheWest, a Canadian 🇨🇦 Folk Rock band I never heard of, but as far as I understand they were quite big over there at the time.

Mann and his wife came to Venice for their honeymoon in 1993 and he wrote this song about that, where he expresses his desire never to leave by alluding to the sinking of the city and asserting that he'll go down with it:
"And if Venice is sinking/Then I'm going under".

John Mann sadly passed away on November 20, 2019, and incredibly, few days after one of the most devastating floods in Venice... the city was really sinking in those days 😱
Tragically Poetic, isn't it? ❤️‍🔥

Numa Echos is a poliartist and songwriter, active all over #Italy and abroad.
Among her many skills, she's great at organizing #DarkWave, #GothicRock, #DeathRock #Electronic nights where she performs in concert and DJ sets.
