Kraftwerk
πŸ“€ Trans-Europe Express
#Electronic #Synthpop #ExperimentalPop #Avantgarde

45 years ago Kraftwerk from #Germany released their 6th studio album which they entitled to celebrate the titular European railway service and Europe as a whole.
Trans-Europe Express was the highest international charting album by #Kraftwerk to date, also thanks to a change of sound, now more focused on a melodic electronic style, sequenced rhythms, minimalism and occasionally manipulated vocals.

This album had success and consideration also among the late 1970s /early 1980s growing punk and new wave generation of musicians and is often cited as an influence. The titletrack reproducing electronically a running train is epic, one of the most known Kraftwerk's numbers for sure!

Frank Zappa
πŸ“€ Francesco Zappa
#ChamberMusic #Electronic

40 years ago Frank Zappa from Baltimore, #USA, released a Chamber Music album named after Francesco Zappa, an obscure Italian cellist who composed between 1763 and 1788.

Frank Zappa found out about Francesco Zappa thanks to a friend musician, David Ocker. Frank was of course attracted having the same name and wanted to discover and record Francesco's music.

The album features synthesized arrangements of Francesco Zappa compositions performed by the so called The Barking Pumpkin Digital Gratification Consort conducted by #FrankZappa.

Amazing story ❀️

Paul Chain
πŸ“€ Violet Art Of Improvisation
#PsychedelicRock #KrautRock #Electronic #ProgressiveRock #FreeImprovisation

35 years ago Paul Chain from #Pesaro, #LeMarche, #Italy released 2 studio albums, his first works simply as Paul Chain.

If Life And Death expands the eclectic Doom work started with his πŸ‘‰ 1984 debut, Violet Art... is an incredible and hypnotic trip to hell, it could have well come out from the most obscure 1970s Experimental #OccultRock.

In both albums Chain is backed by former πŸ‘‰ Death SS members, and the language used is always phonetic resemblant to English.

Haunting 😈

😈 Just found out what is possibly the most recent music video filmed in Venice (for the video list in this channel click on this πŸ‘‰ #VVC).

Numa Echos is a poliartist and songwriter, active all over #Italy and abroad.
Among her many skills, she's great at organizing #DarkWave, #GothicRock, #DeathRock #Electronic nights where she performs in concert and DJ sets.
Her most recent events were in Brasil (Gothic Carnival) and in Paris last week, πŸ‘‰ future dates here in Venice.

This video is set at the #Arsenale, one of the most popular locations in Venice, and in what I call πŸ‘‰ The Secret Island (because it's mostly unknown to tourists and is part of my alternative #WalkingTour).

The Sisterhood
πŸ“€ Gift
#DarkWave #SynthWave #GothicRock #Electronic #EBM #SynthPunk #ProtoTechno

40 years ago The Sisterhood from Leeds, #UK released their debut and only studio album.

#TheSisterhood was a musical project by Andrew Eldritch after disbanding πŸ‘‰ The Sisters Of Mercy.
The songs were intended to appear in S.O.M. second album but both Eldritch and the departed Wayne Hussey (who founded πŸ‘‰ The Mission) agreed not to use the band's original name for their new projects.

Gift is widely regarded as a landmark album for the development of Electronic and Techno music, and it's undoubtedly a DarkWave milestoneπŸ€˜πŸ–€

In this album:
#AndrewEldritch – vocals, lyrics, songwriter, producer
Performers:
#LucasFox, #PatriciaMorrison, #AlanVega, #JamesRay
