Galatasaray v Konyaspor - Turkish Super League Photo by Seskim Photo/MB Media/Getty Images Bayern Munich is leaving no stone unturned... According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich could move on to Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey if a move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Nordi Mukiele does not work out: Excl. News Sacha #Boey: The 23 y/o right-back is on the list of FC Bayern! ➡️ This topic could heat up if the deal with #Mukiele doesn’t work out. Personal terms, won’t be a problem. A significant issue is likely to be the transfer fee demanded by @GalatasaraySK.Nevertheless, Mukiele remains the desired target. @SkySportDERumors have circulated that Galatasaray could be asking as much as €25 million for Boey — a fee that would seem extremely highly at this stage of the season for a right-back. However, Bayern Munich is getting desperate and if the club deems a right-back as an absolute necessity for this transfer window, it might consider making the plunge. Arsenal FC, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain are all rumored to have interest in Boey.Looking for more thoughts and analysis of the Eric Dier move — along with Bayern Munich’s other rumored wheelings and dealings? Newest artists at Phonogram Photo by: Sepia Times/Universal Images Group via Getty Images Could a lineup full of right-backs be in Bayern Munich’s future? According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich right-back Sacha Boey will likely stay in Bavaria in an effort to prove himself in what should be a very deep position on the roster: News #Boey | The plan is that he will stay at FC Bayern. Now, he’s fully focus on the new season to be 100% fit. Contract until 2028. Boey doesn’t want to leave Bayern in the summer. He wants to prove himself. Also, due to many injuries, only 109 minutes of playing this season for the 23 y/o right-back. @SkySportDEA lot can still change based on whoever Bayern Munich hires as its next head coach, but joining Boey at right-back for next season could be Joshua Kimmich, Noussair Mazraoui, and Josip Stanišić — all starting caliber players at a club like Bayern Munich. Of course, with such depth, comes some uncertainty for players. The Boey acquisition still feels like a bit of a panic move than just did not pan out because the one reason Bayern Munich overpaid to get Boey — injuries — also ended up taking down the former Galatasaray star as well.

Spain v Germany: Quarter-Final - UEFA EURO 2024 Photo by Masashi Hara/Getty Images Things are about to get hot and heavy for Bayern Munich... Bayern Munich is keeping its strategies very close to the vest these days. Bild journalist Michel Schröer noted that the team is doing a lot of things in hiding these days (Editor’s Note: In Hiding is also a somewhat forgotten, but very solid Pearl Jam song). Head coach Vincent Kompany is not letting many eyes get a look at how the team is preparing for its upcoming slate:Schade für viele Fans an der Säbener Straße: In den letzten Wochen wärmte sich die Mannschaft die ersten 15 Minuten meist vor den blickdichten Vorhängen auf. Something that we won’t take a chance with. We’re not ruling him out yet of the game [vs Greece tomorrow], but he won’t start the game. Hopefully he’ll be in contention then for Sunday [against Finland] but, again, time will tell. It’s not something I think we should be rushing,” said Carsely (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). FC Bayern Munich vs Celtic FC - UEFA Champions League Photo credit should read Oryk Haist / GocherImagery/Future Publishing via Getty Images This club is allergic to making good decisions Bayern Munich has had its fair share of terrible decisions over the years, but their most recent one gives the worst a run for the money: the club wants to sell Sacha Boey per Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg:Sacha #Boey could leave FC Bayern as early as this summer. If a suitable offer is made, the club are open to discussions. The 24-y/o right-back has not yet established himself as a regular starter. His contract runs until 2028.For the right-back position next season, Josip #Stanisic and Konrad #Laimer are expected to be the club’s main priorities.Sport Bild (via @iMiaSanMia) backed up the report from Plettenberg: @SPORTBILD confirms @Plettigoal/Sky’s report that Sacha Boey is a candidate for sale in the summer should a suitable offer come in for him. Instead, Bayern would rely on Josip Stanišić and Konrad Laimer as right-back options next season. Boey has had to deal with numerous injuries and wasn’t able to establish himself in the team, which is why the club is ready to move him onAfter rumors that João Palhinha is on the chopping block (hours after head coach Vincent Kompany labelled the midfield as a weakness of the team), this is just another decision that really makes you think if the board is all there. Yeah, Josip Stanišić can be the starting right-back at some point but he can’t be overplayed because what if he gets injured? His record isn’t the greatest. Konrad Laimer isn’t a right-back—he won’t be effective all the time—and Joshua Kimmich is in limbo with his contract talks at a dead end. Don’t even begin to suggest Raphaël Guerreiro. Apart from Kimmich and Stani, who else is a true-right back in this team?If Hiroki Ito is being given chances after such a lengthy layout, then why can’t the club do the same for Boey? He is a top-class right back when fit, even during his time at Galatasaray— you saw what he did against Bayern in the Champions League a couple seasons ago. This is in no way slating Ito, but it’s not fair by the club. They want to save up on wages? There are other players who contribute way less than an injured Boey—mind you—who earn more than him.

1. FC Heidenheim 1846 v FC Bayern München - Bundesliga Photo by Harry Langer/DeFodi Images/DeFodi via Getty Images The Bavarians have to get the right-back position right. It’s been too long. Bayern Munich reportedly want to move right-back Sacha Boey after a brief and uneven stint with the team. From Sky Sport De journalist Florian Plettenberg: Sacha #Boey remains one of the top candidates for a sale at FC Bayern this summer. The market for him is being explored.#Galatasaray are monitoring his situation closely, but nothing is concrete at this stage. His contract runs until 2028.@SkySportDE It has been some time since Boey flashed his skills for Galatasaray against Bayern in the Champions League group stage of 2023/24. For a combination of reasons including injury and coaching change it just has not worked out so far in Munich…and a change of scenery could perhaps help Boey recapture his earlier form.Maybe that does not mean a new club or a new country, but right back to where the right-back just arrived from. Why not? The Frenchman is still young at 24 and it was not very long ago that his current teammate, Kim Min-jae, was starring for Fenerbahçe in the Süper Lig, at the same age.

FC Bayern Muenchen Teams Celebrate Winning The Leagues Photo by S. Mellar/FC Bayern via Getty Images Is Sacha Boey leaving Bayern Munich on a loan? According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, Galatasaray has more than just Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané on its mind (and wish list). We know the Sané deal is done, but the Turkish power also wants its former charge Sacha Boey on a loan: Understand Galatasaray remain in contact with Sacha #Boey and are keen to bring him back on loan. However, nothing is advanced at this stage. There is no agreement in place, and it is doubtful whether Bayern would currently agree to a loan without an obligation to buy. Boey also has further interest from the Premier League. @SkySportDEJournalist Burhan Can Terzi (via @iMiaSanMia) is reporting that progress has been made on a potential loan arrangement for Boey as well: Galatasaray have made progress with Bayern regarding a loan deal for Sacha Boey. Negotiations are continuing to include a suitable option to buy in the deal. With Boey likely not in Bayern Munich’s plans, a loan to get his salary off the books could be an advantageous move for the Bavarians. Looking for more thoughts and reactions to Leroy Sané’s stunning decision to turn down a contract proposal from Bayern Munich in favor of a fresh start (and more money) from Galatasaray.
