Could Ante Rebic be the next piece of the “Big 3” in a position to leave town?Sempre Inter cited a report from Sky Sports which indicated that Inter Milan had an initial bid of €30 million on Rebic rejected by Die Adler. Eintracht Frankfurt is looking for €40 million and now Inter must decide if it will match the demands of the Bundesliga club. Inter have taken initial steps toward trying to sign Ante Rebic from Eintracht Frankfurt according to a report from Sky Sport Deutschland. The Nerazzurri submitted a €30 million offer but it is understood to have been knocked back by the Bundesliga outfit who have demanded a sum of €40 million for the 25-year-old. Juventus FC v ACF Fiorentina - Coppa ItaliaPhoto by Emilio Andreoli/Getty ImagesWait a second, this isn’t CR7.Huge news just dropped out of the blue. According to Florian Plettenberg, the same journalist who broke the Sadio Mane transfer, Bayern Munich are in negotiations with Juventus for the transfer of Matthijs de Ligt. The 22-year-old Dutchman has apparently impressed both Brazzo and Nagelsmann, who may see him as a replacement for the recently departed Niklas Sule. Here’s the exclusive report from Plettenberg, graciously tweeted in English for the sake of international fans like us:Exclusive News De Ligt: Bayern wants him & #deLigt wants to join Bayern! Talks with Nagelsmann & Salihamidzic impressed him! Negotiations between Bayern/Juve have started. Talks are good. But: He‘s very expensive. Transfer fee expected between €60-80m. @SkySports @Sky_Marc— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) July 4, 2022Per Plettenberg’s reporting, we have the following bombshells:De Ligt only wants to join Bayern despite interest Chelsea and other clubs around Europe. The Dutchman will definitely be expensive though.Benjamin Pavard is a prime candidate to leave Bayern Munich this summer, with Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, and Juventus all interested. Could a swap deal + cash for de Ligt be on the cards? After signing Mazraoui, Bayern can afford to sell Pavard if they sign a new center back.De Ligt is one of three signings Brazzo wants to complete before the summer ends, the other two being RB Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer and Stade Rennes’ Mathys Tel. This news is only just in its infancy, but we’ll keep you updated on all the new developments as they come out. This summer is shaping up to be the biggest Bayern has had in a very long time.Interested in more transfer talk? Why not check out our podcast? In this latest episode, we did a deep dive into the CR7 rumors swirling around Bayern Munich at the moment, as well as the potential switch to a 4-3-3 formation. Listen to it below or at this link.

SV Werder Bremen v FC Bayern Muenchen - BundesligaPhoto by M. Donato/FC Bayern via Getty ImagesTo spend money, you have to make money first.Departures are in order in Bayern Munich. As per the reports from Sky Sport journalists Marc Behrenbeck and Florian Plettenberg, Bayern are planning more player sales in this summer to raise transfer funds. Bayern have already made €24m from selling Omar Richards, Marc Roca and some academy players and they will be looking to gather some more money. After already spending €51m in fixed transfer fees for Sadio Mane and Ryan Gravenberch, Bayern Munich are in advanced talks to sign Matthijs de Ligt. The Juventus defender will reportedly cost around €70-80m, a very hefty fee for the German Champions. So, to raise some money, Bayern are willing to sell one or more ‘big name’ players. The players in the reported sale list are:Robert Lewandowski: "Robert has a contract until 2023 and he will fulfil it, BASTA"?Serge Gnabry: The German is yet to agree to a new contract, so selling him now would not seem unrealistic.Benjamin Pavard: Pavard has been coy on his future for some time now. Atletico Madrid and Juventus have shown interest in the Frenchman.Marcel Sabitzer: So far, the Austrian has struggled to establish himself in the club. And with Bayern seemingly plotting a move for Konrad Laimer, Sabitzer could end up leaving. His agent seems to disagree though.Joshua Zirkzee: After returning from an impressive loan spell in R.S.C. Anderlecht, Zirkzee could leave to get more first-team minutes. Newcastle and Ajax are interested.Kicker journalist Georg Holzner also seems to agree with this. The fact that FC Bayern is currently arranging the second top transfer without reaching financial limits is also due to the fact that (well-known) departures are planned for this summer, which should bring a lot of money.Bayern Munich could look very different at the end of this transfer window. Things are happening.

FC Bayern Muenchen Unveils New Signing Sadio ManePhoto by S. Mellar/FC Bayern via Getty ImagesThings are moving fast for Bayern Munich.According to Radio Bianconera and TuttoJuve.com journalist Mirko Di Natale, Bayern Munich is expected to submit its next offer to Juventus for center-back Matthijs de Ligt within the next few hours. This news follows the recent narrative that Bayern Munich is looking to close a deal for De Ligt this week. By moving quickly, Bayern Munich is hoping to get the Dutchman integrated into the squad and hopefully have him join the team as it readies for its preseason tour in the United States, which will feature matches against MLS side D.C. United in the nation’s capital, along with a game against Manchester City at historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin:I 60mln più bonus presentati dal #Bayern per #deLigt sono stati rifiutati.

La #Juve non abbassa le sue pretese.

I bavaresi recapiteranno una nuova offerta nelle prossime ore. Le parti sono in continuo contatto. https://t.co/a8ov0QMu65— Mirko Di Natale (@_Morik92_) July 12, 2022The 60 million plus bonuses presented by #Bayern for #deLigt were rejected.#Juve does not lower its claims. The Bavarians will be delivering a new offer in the next few hours. The parties are in constant contact.By all accounts, this move seems to be happening and is more of a matter of when, rather than if.

Juventus Medical TestsPhoto by Daniele Badolato - Juventus FC/Juventus FC via Getty ImagesLooks like both sides want the transfer to be concluded as soon as possible.Matthijs de Ligt is back in Turin and training with Juventus, but maybe not for much longer. According to Italian journalist Romeo Agresti, considered quite reliable, Bayern Munich want to finalize a deal for the Dutchman before Juve fly out on their US preseason tour on Wednesday. This leaves just over 48 hours for the two sides to reach an agreement, if the transfer is to be announced in that time frame.According to the same report, the two clubs are getting closer to each other’s valuations. Agresti quotes a transfer fee of around 80 to 90 million euros — probably a slight overestimate, since his sources clearly come from the Italian side of the negotiating table. This is just like the time Liverpool demanded over €50m for Sadio Mane.Bayern have a decent amount of money on hand thanks to selling Robert Lewandowski to FC Barcelona, which is good because De ligt is sure to be a wildly expensive signing. For now, the exact numbers remain up for debate. In concomitanza con la sempre più vicina partenza di #DeLigt direzione #Bayern, la #Juve ovviamente ha iniziato a muoversi per il sostituto: ad oggi, tra i nomi che circolano, quello di #PauTorres è il più freddino @GoalItalia— Romeo Agresti (@romeoagresti) July 17, 2022Juventus, meanwhile, are targeting Villarreal defender Pau Torres as a replacement for the departing Dutchman. With Kalidou Koulibaly already confirmed by Chelsea FC, and Barcelona pursuing Jules Kounde, the pool of top quality center backs available for purchase is shrinking by the minute. This is another factor likely pressuring both clubs to come to a quick deal. With any luck, we’ll see MDL in a Bayern Munich shirt in the upcoming week or so. Stay tuned for more news and updates on this transfer.

RB Leipzig - Bayern Munich Photo by Hendrik Schmidt/picture alliance via Getty Images 99% sure they will return after the international break As Bayern Munich produced their first proper dominating game under Thomas Tuchel against SC Freiburg, two players had to watch it from the sidelines: Matthijs de Ligt and Manuel Neuer. The former was put out of action due to niggling injuries while the latter is so close (yet so far?) from making his long-awaited comeback after that freak skiing accident. Will someone enlighten the fanbase with positive news? Enter sporting director Christoph Freund:Christoph #Freund says to #deLigt : “We are very positive about this. We hope that after the international break we will be able to train with the team again and then be available again. That’s the plan.” Manuel #Neuer “is also looking very good.”– Julian Buhl (t-online) as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMiaLooking for more analysis of the game? Is Leroy Sané (arguably) the best player in the world right now? What about Thomas Muller — how does he influence the way Bayern Munich plays in 2023? Manchester United Unveil New Signing Matthijs de Ligt Photo by Manchester United/Manchester United via Getty Images Every new beginning leads to some other beginning’s end... After weeks of speculation, the transfer of Bayern Munich star Matthijs de Ligt to Manchester United is finally complete. De Ligt will move to the Premier League after being labeled as expendable by the new Bayern Munich front office and coaching staff. De Ligt came to Bayern Munich in the vaunted “Summer Transfer Window Class of ‘22”, but will leave the club without having won a Champions League title as the club played head coach roulette during his tenure: Welkom, Matthijs!
