Who said the #Queen πŸ‘‘ is not Hard Rock? πŸ€”
This is actually pure Heavy Metal straight out of the 70s! πŸ”₯πŸŽΈπŸ” #Metallica did cover it 20 years later but believe me, that was not heavier than this! Have a nice Monday! 🀟

🎼31 March 1944. Happy Birthday πŸ₯³πŸΎto Mr. Mick Ralphs 🎸, born Michael Geoffrey Ralphs in Hertfordshire England. He has been a founding member, lead #guitarist and songwriter for Mott The Hoople and Bad Company, 2 of the most seminal hard rock bands of the 70s, along with 2 of the most influential and appreciated vocalists in rock history, Ian Hunter (#MottTheHoople and #IanHunter band) and Paul Rodgers (#Free, #BadCompany, #TheFirm, #Queen, #PaulRodgers band).
Here's one of #MickRalphs most famous and commercially successful songs he wrote for #BadCompany for their debut album in 1974. 🀟🎸

🎼2 June 1986. 35 years ago Queen released their twelveth album, A Kind of Magic which immediately became one of the most successful in their career, also thanks to the Highlander film!
Many of the album songs were in fact included in the soundtrack of one of the most iconic cult movies of the 80s, starring Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery.
Do you remember it? If so you can post #Queen songs and #Highlander scenes in the Chat RoomπŸ‘‡πŸ˜ƒ #2June

Queen
πŸ“€ Queen
#HardRock #ProgressiveRock #HeavyMetal

50 years ago Queen from London #UK, released their self-titled debut album.

Few words to spend on this album, probably it's not considered their best, it's my favorite #Queen anyway, a Hard Rock masterpiece highly influenced by Progressive Rock and Heavy Metal.

In this album:
#FreddieMercury β€“ lead vocals, piano, Hammond organ, backing vocals
#BrianMay β€“ guitars, piano, backing vocals
#RogerTaylor (credited as Roger Meddows-Taylor) – drums, percussion, lead vocals (7), backing vocals
#JohnDeacon (credited as Deacon John) – bass

Additional musicians
#JohnAnthony β€“ backing vocals

Dream Theater
πŸ“€ A Change Of Seasons
#ProgressiveMetal #ProgressiveRock #HardRock #HeavyMetal

30 years ago Dream Theater from Boston, #USA released their first EP, even though with its 57-minute length it could be considered a proper album.

Side A contains the 23-minute titletrack, an incredible suite which is not only my favorite #DreamTheater, one if my favorite pieces of music ever ❀️‍πŸ”₯

Side B is a fantastic collection of live cover songs performed at a fan club concert on January 31, 1995, at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London.
Songs covered are of #EltonJohn, #DeepPurple, #LedZeppelin, plus "The Big Medley" containing excerpts of #PinkFloyd, #Kansas, #Queen, #Journey, #DixieDregs, #Genesis.

In this album:
#JamesLaBrie β€“ vocals, production
#JohnMyung β€“ bass, production
#JohnPetrucci β€“ guitar, production
#MikePortnoy β€“ drums, cover concept, production
#DerekSherinian β€“ keyboards, production

There's no time for us
There's no place for us
What is this thing that builds our dreams
Yet slips away from us?

There's no chance for us
It's all decided for us
This world has only one
Sweet moment set aside for us.

Who wants to live forever?
