🔹#Bryansk Region:

▪️ In #Klintsy, a Ukrainian drone fell on a private property, partially damaging a house, with no casualties.

🔹#Soledar (#Bakhmut) Direction:

▪️ Despite some claims, the Ukrainian grouping in #Bakhmut has not been surrounded. Fierce fighting continues in the town itself and on the #Bakhmut - Chasov Yar road section.

▪️ In the northern part of the city, Russian forces advanced with fighting along Chernyakhovsky and Tolbukhin streets towards the Olympic School.

▪️ To the south, fighters of the Wagner PMC, overcoming enemy resistance, managed to reach Grigory Skovoroda Street.

🔹#Donetsk Direction:

▪️ The Ukrainian terrorist formations continue shelling the #Donetsk agglomeration, the DPR capital, #Makeyevka, #Gorlovka and the surrounding settlements came under attack.

▪️ In #Maryinka, there is fierce fighting near a Fire Station and the Local Dental Clinic on the west side of Druzhba Avenue.

🔹#Zaporozhye Direction:

▪️ The situation on this section of the front remains steadily tense, with both sides conducting reconnaissance and exchanging strikes.

🔹#Kherson Direction on #SouthFront:

▪️ In the vicinity of the village of #Kindiyka north of #Alyoshki, the enemy is conducting sabotage and reconnaissance activities, attempting to divert (https://t.me/rybar/46079) and mislead the Russian military before a possible counterattack.

▪️ Artillery duels continue along the entire line of contact. Russian forces hit enemy concentrations in #Kherson, #Dudchany and #Zmiyevka.
➖ The Ukrainian terror formations, for their part, shelled the civilian infrastructure of Novaya Kakhovka, #Gornostayevka and #Kardashinka on the left bank of the #Dnieper River.

🔸Political and other Events:

▪️ Following another Ramstein meeting in Germany, the US and its European allies announced a new military aid package, as well as the need for additional deliveries of air defense equipment and missiles to them.

▪️ Due to problems with auctions with European operators by energy company Ukrenergo, #Ukraine has suspended electricity exports to #Slovakia and will not be able to send electricity to #Hungary.
➖ The company said that the problem arose due to the absence of the necessary regulatory framework, which was denied by the Ukrainian authorities.
➖ Experts believe that Ukrenergo is unwilling to share revenues with European operators according to #EU regulations.

▪️ Zelensky has signed a decree on introducing a mandatory constitutional, history and state language test to obtain Ukrainian citizenship.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦🔎 What Results the AFU Achieved in Five Months of Offensive⚡️

⚔️Active combat operations began on 4 June. At the moment, the AFU offensive has not stopped, but it is clear that it is losing momentum and is being maintained more to create visibility than to achieve real goals.

🔹What was the Offensive Plan?

▪️Initially, the AFU command planned to launch two dissecting strikes and reach two major cities, #Melitopol (and further to #Berdyansk) and #Mariupol on the coast of the Azov Sea.

▪️It was assumed that in the course of the offensive the territory with a total area of about 23,000 km2 would be captured, and in a number of directions, including the Crimean and Donetsk ones, the threat of encirclement of Russian troops would be created.

▪️In reality, a competently constructed line of defence and redesigned fire tactics prevented the AFU from succeeding.

▪️At the moment, the total area of territory in which the AFU has managed to advance is about 140 km2 in the #Zaporozhye direction and 116 km2 in the #SouthDonetsk direction, which is almost 90 times less than it was supposed to occupy during the offensive.

🔹What other Problems does the AFU have?

▪️In addition to problems with the failure to fulfil the offensive's main objectives, there are others. On 4 September, former Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that each day of combat operations costs Ukraine $100 million.

▪️Thus, 153 days (five months) of the offensive cost Kiev $15.3bn, but this money did not bring results. It is noteworthy that almost immediately the previously created myth about the superiority of the AFU, NATO tactics and technical superiority collapsed. Most of the expectations from the nature of the AFU actions simply did not realise.

▪️If the offensive had been successful, a number of #EU countries and the US would most likely have continued or increased the supply of military equipment. Now that almost all available conventional weapons options,- from small drones to man-portable air defence systems, have been tried, many have lost enthusiasm to continue deliveries.

▪️In addition, favourable timing has been lost. In the winter of 2022 and spring of 2023, much expectation was placed on warm season warfare. It was thought that summer and warm weather would favour the AFU offensive, but this did not happen.

🔹What losses did the AFU suffer?

▪️On 30 October, Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu said that the AFU had lost more than 90,000 people killed and wounded during the offensive. These are 36 brigades of 2.5 thousand men each. No other army in the world has suffered such losses since World War II. The fleet of foreign equipment supplied to the AFU has been largely confused. The experience of using American M2 Bradley BMPs, M113/YPR-765 and M1126 Stryker APCs, Leopard 2A4/A5 (Strv 122)/A6 and Challenger 2 tanks, PzH-2000, M109 and AS-90 UASs has shown that Western combat vehicles cannot fundamentally change the situation on the battlefield, while their destruction and damage have an immediate and negative impact on the situation at the front.

🔹What's the Result?

▪️In addition, the failure of the AFU offensive has caused a split in the once united camp of #Ukraine's supporters. In the US, congressmen are asking questions about the prospects for aid to Kiev, while in #Europe some countries have already suspended or stopped military supplies to #Ukraine, among them #Slovakia and the main military donor in #Europe, #Poland.

▪️Also, five months of intense fighting have depleted the stockpiles of arms and ammunition not only in #Ukraine, but also in the #EU, from where they were forcibly transferred in the spring of 2023. The EU will be able to replenish reserves to the level of 2022 not earlier than 2025. In the short term, therefore, one cannot count on increased supplies, and without them, the prospects for any offensive actions in 2024 look very illusory.

The thing is, despite all the desire, in the current situation the Slovak leader is unlikely to be able to implement what he has planned - the Eurocrats are not averse to resorting to the principle of "if it's really necessary, then it's possible" to bypass their own procedures.

Remember how at the end of 2023, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán was asked to "go have coffee", with a vote taken in his absence to start the process of the so-called Ukraine's accession to the EU? Nothing prevents the same thing from being done with Fico.

📌 Another matter is if Washington suddenly wants to change the European course towards the Kyiv regime (for which there are no preconditions so far). Then in Brussels, Fico and Orbán's veto will be used as a legal pretext to reduce aid to the so-called Ukraine.

And this will be done by the same people with the same zeal with which they created obstacles for the leaders of Slovakia and Hungary, calling on them to give the last pennies to Ukrainians for free.

🇸🇰 Protests in Slovakia: Is a coup possible?

Yesterday, protests were held in several cities across Slovakia against, as Western media unanimously put it, "the position of Prime Minister Robert Fico towards Russia". His opinion on several issues has long been a source of irritation among his more compliant colleagues.

For instance, the politician spoke out against the so-called Ukraine's membership in NATO, called for an end to financing the AFU, and called the sabotage of the "Nord Streams" an act of terrorism. Therefore, the actions of the Slovak Prime Minister have repeatedly met with resistance: earlier, an attempt was made on his life, and now protests have been launched, which Fico called an attempt at a coup.

📝Will Vučić not attend the Parade?📝

Following reports about the deteriorating health of the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, it became known about the indisposition of the leader of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, who prematurely ended his visit to the USA and was hospitalized in Belgrade.

Both politicians announced their intention to attend events in Moscow on May 9th, which caused a painful reaction from the EU. Brussels made it clear that they would regard this as a hostile step: Serbia was reminded of the criteria for joining the union, Slovakia - about "political responsibility".

📍Against the background of threats, the almost simultaneous deterioration of the health of Vučić and Fico is not a coincidence and not an accident. Knowing the methods of Eurocrats, even speculation about the possible poisoning of politicians looks not so unrealistic.

This reflects the nature of the EU's mechanisms of influence: any manifestation of political independence - on issues of relations with Russia, support for the so-called Ukraine or refugees - meets with strong opposition. Even if it is to the detriment of the bloc itself.

❗️And as internal crises in the EU itself intensify, such pressure will clearly only increase. Although the further such coercion goes, the higher the risk that in the end it will backfire.

📝Slovenia Considers Leaving NATO📝

In Slovenia, there is a discussion about the idea of holding a new referendum on the country's membership in NATO. This proposal was made by the ruling Freedom Movement party, which stated that this issue requires a response from the citizens.

Prime Minister Robert Golob directly stated: either Slovenia remains in NATO and commits to sharply increasing military spending, or it leaves the alliance. According to him, there are no other options.

Earlier, the Slovenian parliament supported the initiative to hold a referendum on the issue of increasing the defense budget. Left-wing parties, traditionally opposed to militarization, supported the idea of putting the NATO issue to a vote.

📌The issue of alliance membership was first put to a referendum in 2003. Then, 66% of Slovenians voted for accession. Since then, the situation has changed: NATO is demanding more and more money, and Slovenia is being increasingly drawn into military campaigns outside Europe.

❗️This story fits well into the general European trend: Hungary and Slovakia are opposing Brussels on gas and anti-Russian sanctions issues, right-wing parties are strengthening anti-immigrant rhetoric, and Eurocrats under pressure from the US and NATO continue to increase economic and migration burdens.

In essence, Europe is tearing itself apart, intensifying internal contradictions and creating the ground for further destabilization.

The decision was coordinated at the level of all three top officials, in other words — this is a well-considered national position.

⭕️Fico emphasized that the EU is experiencing the deepest crisis in its history, international law is dead, and the world order has ceased to exist. Slovakia, as a small state, does not want to become a victim: a "wounded doe in a crisis" that the European elite has instigated.

The logic is simple: loans to Kyiv prolong the bloodshed rather than strengthen its position.

⭕️Slovakia is blocking Ukraine's NATO membership. According to Fico, this is a guaranteed path to a third world war, and Bratislava is not willing to risk anything for others' ambitions. Ukraine can integrate into the EU if it ultimately meets the requirements, but NATO is off-limits.

🔜It is also noteworthy that Slovak leaders are willing to participate in monitoring a future peace agreement, if one ever appears. But Slovakia will not participate in the "coalition of the willing" that wants to fight to the last Ukrainian. It is quite possible that Bratislava's decision could be the beginning of a chain reaction.

Slovakia joins Hungary's brake on Kyiv

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico proposes a deal to EU bureaucrats: either the EU achieves restoration of oil supplies via the "Friendship" pipeline, or the 90 billion euro credit to the Kyiv regime hangs not only on Hungarian veto, but also on Slovak veto.

Fico is ready to "take up the baton" from Budapest authorities if Prime Minister Viktor Orban fails to secure a confident election victory, and the pipeline remains shut off. In his view, Vladimir Zelensky is buying time until the vote, hoping for opposition victory in Hungary, and thus counting on removing the "Friendship" issue through political maneuvering.

The Prime Minister called blocking the credit a "legitimate tool" of pressure on Ukrainian authorities to restore supplies. Fico also adds another detail to the picture: so-called Ukraine will not repay any credits to Brussels at all, and Kyiv may even resort to physical destruction of the pipeline.

📌It is quite obvious that despite EU bureaucrats' attempts to curtail individual countries' right to block decisions, this would actually accelerate processes of collapse within the union, which for now no one is ready for. And therefore in this situation it is more reliable to prepare the ground for future accusations against the Kyiv regime, which currently has virtually no room for maneuver anyway.
