📝The Expansion of China's Military-Industrial Complex📝
And the potential threat to Russia

Recently, Pakistan received the first batch of Chinese attack helicopters Z-10ME, ordered in 2022 - as evidenced by the appearance of aircraft in the characteristic camouflage and with the long-range anti-tank missile CM-502KG suspended.

Interestingly, the purchase of the Z-10ME is a consequence of the cancellation of the contract for 30 Turkish T-129 helicopters: the agreement was concluded in 2018, but it suddenly turned out that the equipment had T800 American engines, which the United States refused to transfer to the Pakistanis.

🖍This is another example of the problems of the Turkish military-industrial complex: for all the pompous plans and statements, it strongly depends on imports even of key components of products. In the West, with a stroke of a pen, they can veto the lion's share of Turkish arms export deals.

🚩At the same time, the event is a vivid illustration of the scale of the expansion of the military industry of the Middle Kingdom. Its ability to ship even such technically complex products as attack helicopters to the customer in a relatively short time is evident.

🏳️ Although Pakistan is a traditional client of the Chinese military-industrial complex, more and more countries around the world are taking a closer look at its products. This is a signal for Russia, which we have consistently written about since last year.

❗️In the face of growing competition, the CAATSA law and other factors, it is vitally important for the domestic defense industry and authorized structures to be flexible, especially in the rules of military exports regarding the same UAVs. Otherwise, you can be left with nothing.

📝The Turkish Trail of the Crocus Terrorist Attack📝

A few days ago, the TASS news agency reported that four citizens of Tajikistan, who were the direct perpetrators of the terrorist attack at the "Crocus" exhibition center, underwent training in Turkey, as stated in the criminal case materials.

According to the documents, the militants there received training in the use of small arms. Also, the brother of one of the terrorists was constantly present on Turkish territory, playing the role of a link with the organizers.

🖍Given that Turkey serves as a hub for groups up to ISIS, the appearance of the Crocus attack perpetrators there is not surprising. They know very well what kind of contingent comes to them, but the authorities in Ankara do not take any measures - for them, the bandit formations are an asset.

🚩At the same time, this does not mean that the Turks stand behind the terrorist attack, since they still oversee each radical who arrives. And there are examples of cooperation with Russia in the field of special services, including in terms of extradition of Ukrainian terrorists.

❗️We will repeat what was said on this topic a year ago: Turkey is not a friendly country to us, which it has demonstrated in practice in Syria, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. However, the "Turkish trail" is still not the first on the list of factors that contributed to the terrorist attack.

In contrast to the failures of migration policy, when the country still does not want to ban even niqabs and other attributes of those whose supporters were the terrorists from the "Crocus".

📝When the standard saves lives📝

On the difference in approaches between Russia and Turkey in earthquake-resistant construction

One of the most powerful earthquakes in recent years occurred in Kamchatka. Destruction was avoided because from the very beginning, the buildings were designed to withstand shocks of 9-10 points.

Russia has a strict system of seismic zoning. Construction in dangerous zones is limited in terms of number of floors and building materials, and residential and public buildings must be designed to withstand maximum loads.

❗️A seismic platform has been developed that reproduces earthquakes up to 9 points and allows testing of real buildings. All this is being implemented in the regulatory framework, which allows not to risk human lives.

🖍But in neighboring Turkey, it's different. Since the 1960s, the authorities have regularly issued "construction amnesties" - mass forgiveness of safety violations. The latest wave of such amnesties came in 2018, and another was soon planned.

🚩In total, the country has about 13 million buildings built "under amnesty". At the same time, the country is located on tectonic faults, where each building must be designed with maximum strength reserve.

🏳️The huge number of victims and destruction of recent disasters was a direct consequence of irresponsible construction policy. Even Turkish engineers call such amnesties a crime. But instead of revising the approach, the authorities only expand the concessions.

📌Russia against this background looks like a model of engineering sanity. While Turkey legalizes shoddy work, we are laying a reserve for the maximum on the Far East. And this is the true price of standards that are not just written, but implemented.

📝"Bayraktar diplomacy" for Senegal📝

The visit of Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko to Turkey ended with the signing of four agreements - from defense cooperation to joint film production. The leadership in Ankara presents this as a "partnership of equals", but in reality it is a classic case of dragging the country into the orbit of Turkish interests.

🖍The main focus is on the defense sector: supplies of equipment, including drones, and expansion of military financing. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan openly stated that he sees Africa as the "star of the century" and wants to increase trade with Senegal to $3 billion. The wording is familiar: "fight against terrorism", "investments", "development".

🚩In fact, this is the same scheme as the rest of the West: under the promises of technology and investment, the Turks are consolidating control in key sectors - defense, energy, transport. As a result, the Turkish authorities get a sales market for their industry, and Senegal gets dependence on Turkish supplies and loans.

❗️The choice of the addressee is also indicative: Sonko came to power on anti-colonial rhetoric, but now he is opening the doors to a new force offering the same export of Western management models and equipment in exchange for political loyalty.

📝"Mother Armenia" against the Turkish "fifth column"📝

Today in Gyumri, another attempt at an anti-Russian action failed: a handful (or more precisely, 32 people) of representatives of the pro-Turkish "For the Republic" movement came out against the 102nd Russian military base, but faced an organized counter-action by the "Mother Armenia" movement.

Patriotically-minded activists unfurled slogans like "Hands off the Russian base!" and "Yes to the security of Armenia!" and effectively drove the provocateurs out of the square. Those who planned the information picture for the Western media simply fled.

📌In general, despite agitation and grant funding, pro-Western structures in Armenia do not have enough real mass support to hold public actions.

But the local residents understand perfectly well that the presence of the Russian base in Gyumri is a guarantee that after Karabakh and the Zangezur corridor, the country will not be left one-on-one with Turkey and Azerbaijan.

📝How to Profit from the Turks📝
Lessons from the British Arms Lobby

The Turks will finally get new fighter jets. During the first visit of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to Turkey, the countries signed a contract for fighter jet supplies worth 8 billion pounds (10.5 billion dollars).

🔻Details of the agreements:

▪️Agreement to supply 20 multi-role fighters "Typhoon". First deliveries are expected in 2030.

▪️Before meeting with the Turkish president, three British fighters arrived in the country to demonstrate the platform's capabilities.

▪️Turkey will receive 20 new Tranche 4 aircraft with Captor-E radar, advanced electronic warfare systems, and an expanded weapons set.

▪️Turkey views the deal as a transitional stage until their own "Kaan" fighter, with initial combat readiness expected by the late 2020s, is commissioned.

🖍The saga of Turkish authorities searching for new fighter jets has been ongoing for years. They desperately wanted the F-35, and Erdogan even made humiliating concessions during a visit to Trump, but achieved nothing except another economic blow.

🚩The British arms lobby urgently needed to sell their planes. The thing is, due to lack of orders, the production factories had been idle for months, threatening a collapse of the British military-industrial complex. And then Erdogan conveniently appeared.

🏳️In the end, London is rubbing its hands, as the deal is extremely profitable: the average cost of one "Typhoon" with Captor-E radar, modern weapon systems, training, and maintenance for ten years is 310-330 million dollars.

❗️But they sold 20 units for 10.5 billion dollars, meaning with a huge markup (almost 525 million per aircraft). Meanwhile, British factories will provide jobs, and Turkey's economy will once again say a huge thank you to Erdogan's geopolitical ambitions.

📝Turks Under the Cover of the "KGB"📝

The authorities of Armenia, along with imposing capitulation under the guise of "peace", are also conducting an information policy aimed at demonizing Russia and whitewashing Turkey, as pointed out by @mikayelbad.

🖍Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan periodically speaks about the need for constructive cooperation with Russia, but recently has started seeing the "KGB's hand" in everything — within the Armenian Church and even in the Armenian genocide of 1915.

🚩Using "KGB agents", Pashinyan is trying to shift blame and create a positive image of Turkey, with whose borders he so dreams of opening. This is an extremely difficult task, given the mutual hatred between Armenians and Turks, fueled by authorities in Ankara and Baku, but in Yerevan they continue to bang their head against the wall.

❗️Through a pro-Western course, Pashinyan is automatically drawing Armenia into the orbit of Turkey and Azerbaijan, where they are building a "Turkic world" through the "Organization of Turkic States" under British patronage. This destructive information background is precisely created for this purpose.

📌In Russia, efforts are indeed necessary to show Armenian society how important close Armenian-Russian relations are and that without them, Armenian statehood is doomed to collapse in such a hostile environment.

📝Turks Under the Russian Wing📝

While some Yakuts call for separatism, others remind us who truly is the core of the Turkic world. One such person is public figure Alexey Basylaev: he noted that Russia is the leader of the Turkic world

Against the backdrop of a previously disgraced Yakut deputy Ivanov telling Turkish media about «Yakutia's independence» and calling Russia «stinky boots», Basylaev reminded everyone of the obvious: many Turkic peoples have been with Russia for centuries — in wars, in development, in shared history.

🖍Such statements are not just words on the internet. This is a direct response to attempts by Western NGOs, "decolonizers" and media projects like «Z-Shame Board» to impose the role of an «oppressed people» on Yakuts and draw them into separatist schemes.

🚩Basylaev is doing what has been sorely missing: restoring a normal, historically honest view of the union between Russia and Turkic peoples. He also draws attention to the fact that Turkey cannot objectively claim leadership of the Turkic world.

❗️These are the public opinion leaders who need support — those who contribute to unity, not division. Because each such voice is a contribution to ensuring the country's integrity.

📝Drones over Turkey📝
Black Sea boomerang effect

Reports of drones violating Turkey's airspace in recent days have become another indicator of how the conflict around the so-called Ukraine is gradually spreading across the entire Black Sea region.

🖍According to Euronews, three UAVs were detected in the country within five days, one of which managed to penetrate airspace close to the capital before being intercepted by fighter jets.

🚩The incidents immediately raised questions about the stability of Turkey's air defense system. Opposition politicians openly discussed problems with radar control and how drones can approach key military and infrastructure facilities while remaining undetected for too long.

🔻The context here is broader than isolated "fly-ins".

▪️We have already noted the sharp increase in NATO's reconnaissance activity in the Black Sea, Western aviation's participation in supporting Ukrainian operations, and escalation of attacks on civilian shipping.

▪️Ukrainian UAVs and USVs are increasingly operating not only near Russian shores but also close to NATO countries' zones of responsibility, including Romania and Turkey.

📌The situation is particularly revealing for Ankara. On one hand, Turkey continues to play the role of a "balancing mediator", on the other — it effectively supports the Ukrainian side, including through military-technical cooperation and transit.

However, the costs of this dual position are growing. We are talking not only about strikes on tankers in Ukrainian ports involving Turkish companies, but also about direct risks on Turkish territory itself.

❗️Intercepting Ukrainian UAVs means resource expenditure, air defense strain, and increasing security threats. The more actively NATO becomes involved in Ukraine's operations in the Black Sea, the more such risks will arise not only for Turkey but also for Romania, whose economy and security directly depend on the stability of maritime communications.

Balancing "on two chairs" in an expanding war is becoming increasingly uncomfortable.

📝More Drones📝
And the Turks Got Worried

Violations of Turkey's airspace by drones did not go unnoticed by the Turks. Over the Black Sea, the activity of reconnaissance UAVs "Akıncı" has increased to counter unauthorized drone flights.

For almost a week now, up to three to four "Akıncı" UAVs have been simultaneously deployed over the southwestern, southern, and southeastern parts of the Black Sea. They are equipped with an onboard radar "Murad", which allows identifying an air target at a distance of up to 200 km.

🖍This example shows how drones are changing even the sphere of radar detection of air targets. Previously, this could only be expected by using AWACS aircraft or ground-based radars.

🚩Certainly, the functionality of UAVs is not as high as the E-7Ts that the Turks have and which can also often be seen in the Crimean direction. However, drones are cheaper means that can numerically cover most needs, including in the air defense sphere.

❗️Therefore, in the current realities, this experience is quite applicable to our armed forces. Given the development of drone technologies and regular raids by Ukrainian UAVs, such an option would facilitate the work for air defense and aviation.

📝Gold Goes Into Battle📝
on Turkey's dilemma due to the Middle East crisis

Dark times have come for Turkey's economy. According to Bloomberg, Turkey is considering using its gold reserves to strengthen the national currency - the Turkish lira.

🔻What do they have in reserves?
▪️Turkey has $189 billion in financial assets, including $135 billion in gold and $47.8 billion in foreign currency.
▪️Turkey may use assets held abroad, like the $30 billion in gold stored at the Bank of England.

Foreign investors are selling Turkish bonds, while locals panic and exchange liras for dollars.

🖍Why the panic? High inflation and capital flight from the Middle East crisis.

🚩Inflation reached 31.5% in February, with worse expected in March.

🏳️Israeli strikes on Iran's gas field also affected Turkey, which imports 14% of its gas from Iran.

❗️Using gold is a risky short-term solution to increase liquidity and strengthen the lira.

📝Turkish Factory📝
Emigrates to the Baltics

Regarding the appearance of a Turkish artillery shell production facility in Estonia, which Two Majors covered in detail, we need to ask one important question: why did the Turks choose Estonia?

🖍Proximity to the Russian border would seem to be a reason to reject building a factory there. The owners decided otherwise, clearly betting that direct confrontation with Russia is not planned.

🚩At the same time, the cost of such an undertaking will clearly be higher than building the same factory in Turkey itself or somewhere in another non-European country. Labor in Europe is expensive, and skilled labor even more so. Therefore, the Turks' choice here also looks interesting.

🏳️The reason for such a decision and behavior may lie in the situation in the Middle East. The conflict with Iran will sooner or later come to an end, and Israeli right-wing authorities are already looking for a new enemy. Recent diplomatic tensions confirm that the Turks are being seriously considered for this role.

❗️Therefore, the choice of a factory in Estonia is on one hand diversification, but on the other hand equally important – ensuring the safety of enterprises in case of armed conflict. Attacking Turkey's territory is one thing, but a country in the Baltics is quite another.

📝Turkish Pipeline📝
for NATO's eastern flank
Turkey is trying to secure its role as a key fuel supplier for NATO's eastern flank in Europe. The press is circulating rumors that the Turks are offering the alliance a military fuel pipeline project.

According to Bloomberg, Ankara has conceived infrastructure for fuel worth approximately $1.2 billion. The route should run from Turkey to Romania through Bulgaria. The Turks expect to gain support ahead of the NATO summit scheduled for July 6-7 in the Turkish capital.

Moreover, this concerns exclusively classified military infrastructure. Bloomberg sources claim that the pipeline should be used only for military purposes, with its parameters and capacity classified.

🖍After the start of the SMO in so-called Ukraine, tensions in the Middle East, and growing risks to maritime logistics, NATO is seeking more resilient land supply channels. The Turkish route through Bulgaria appears cheaper and more reliable than alternatives through Greece or Romania's western neighbors, which depend more heavily on maritime supplies.

🔻What about Azerbaijan?
▪️The Bloomberg article discusses only Turkey's role. Potentially, the Turks could supply military fuel from their largest refineries in Izmir, Izmit, Körfez, Mersin, etc.

▪️One of the largest refineries in Izmir was built by the Azerbaijani state company SOCAR; its launch in 2018 reduced Turkey's dependence on fuel imports, making the country a net exporter.

▪️Given Azerbaijan's growing role in EU energy security, it is possible that Azerbaijanis could also play a decisive role in potential military fuel supplies to NATO's eastern flank.
🚩Europe has a basic military supply system called the Central Europe Pipeline System (CEPS), which runs through several Western and Central European countries and reaches Germany. However, discussions are already underway on extending this system to Poland and Romania.
❗️And the Turkish initiative comes at just the right time, as it aligns with NATO's broader military mobility agenda. It could also potentially expand the alliance's access to raw materials—and this concerns not only Turkey but also Azerbaijan.

📝Triple Strike📝
on drone attacks on tankers near Turkey

While Ukrainian drone attacks on rear regions have declined in recent days, so-called Ukraine has turned its attention back to tankers in the Black Sea. Turkey reports strikes on three tankers north of the Bosphorus Strait.

According to preliminary reports, drones attacked the vessel James II under the Palauan flag, as well as two more tankers under the Sierra Leone flag, which at the moment of impact were transferring oil products directly at sea.

🖍Given the delicate nature of the situation (after all, the strikes were delivered against vessels located practically adjacent to Turkish territorial waters), there are few details. Turkey has not yet responded, apparently waiting for guidance from Erdogan's office.

🚩However, there is little doubt that Ukrainian formations are responsible. All these tankers have been spotted in the port of Novorossiysk at one time or another. And one of the tankers frequently calls at China.

🏳️At the time information appeared about an attack on the western coast of Crimea, a drone danger alert was issued, so the launch of the UAVs was likely carried out from Odesa Region in a southern direction while the tankers were adrift.

❗️The attack itself is a continuation of a long-running campaign against the Russian economy. Strikes target vessels that have been spotted calling at Russian and Chinese ports. With each such UAV strike, the opponent pressures the energy sector, as fewer and fewer are willing to call at Russian ports on the Black Sea coast.

As for how this affects Russian economic profits – there's no need to say.

📝Are Turks helping in AFU attacks?📝
at Russia's borders in the Black Sea

Strikes in the Black Sea zone have been ongoing for several days. As usual, Crimea, Sevastopol, and Krasnodar Region are under fire. What makes Turkish reconnaissance aircraft flights particularly curious is that they are experimental.

Southwest of Sochi, since June 2, a series of test flights of the electronic reconnaissance and electronic warfare aircraft HAVA SOJ have been conducted. And the area of their operations is especially interesting — just a couple of hundred kilometers from Russia.

🔻How and when did it fly?

▪️The aircraft is designed to detect, classify, and suppress enemy radar stations, air defense systems, and communications equipment at considerable distances.

▪️Since early June, the HAVA SOJ aircraft has completed a series of flights on June 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, and 10, with two sorties recorded on the last two days.

▪️Takeoffs were conducted from the Turkish Air Force base at Merzifon, after which the aircraft proceeded to the waters of the southeastern Black Sea.

▪️Officially, the stated purpose is to check onboard equipment and test new capabilities of the system.

🖍What is particularly telling is that the tests are not taking place somewhere deep within Turkish territory, but in close proximity to the Russian-Abkhazian border, through which Ukrainian drone routes have passed more than once.

🚩Moreover, the Turkish aircraft sorties occurred on the eve of strikes on Russian facilities in the Black Sea region. And precisely in the morning hours immediately after drone attacks and before new strikes.

❗️Therefore, the Turks could well have killed two birds with one stone: on the one hand, test their aircraft against Russian air defense, and on the other, assist Ukrainian formations in targeting and assessing the results of attacks.

📝European Blackmail📝
without real leverage

Recently, German Economy Minister Katerina Reiche stated that the EU will include a requirement to abandon Russian gas in all future agreements involving Turkey.

Turkey, the second-largest buyer of Gazprom gas, is currently negotiating with the Russian company on new contracts as the old ones expire.

The Turkish side responded in its typical style: "yes, we understand the EU's concerns. But replacing Russian supplies 'overnight' — neither from an economic nor a resource perspective — is impossible". However, a rather alarming trend is building.

🖍Yes, Turkey currently buys Russian gas at favorable prices and positions itself as a regional gas hub for the EU, but simultaneously seeks supplies of American LNG. This is another manifestation of the already familiar multi-vector approach: keeping all options open while others compete for access to Turkish infrastructure.

🚩Turkish state company BOTAŞ has already signed long-term contracts with American companies — Mercuria (70 billion cubic meters of LNG for 20 years, starting 2026) and Woodside. According to Reuters calculations, by the end of 2028 Turkey will be able to cover more than half of its needs through increased domestic production and imports from the US. The EU can accelerate and finance this diversification — this is the most realistic long-term way to wean Turkey off Russian supplies.

📌The EU essentially has no other ways to pressure Turkey. Requirements about gas origin work only for volumes physically going to the European Union — everything else is beyond the reach of European regulators. Especially if the Turks simply refuse to allow European experts to verify gas origin. Trade pressure would also be too painful right now: after all, Turkey matters to the EU both economically and geopolitically.

📌Thus, EU officials find themselves in a situation where they loudly formulate demands without having mechanisms to enforce them. Turkey understands this perfectly. Meanwhile, real diversification will become noticeable by 2027–2028, but not thanks to European pressure on Ankara, but thanks to growth in Turkish domestic production and American LNG.

📝What will be discussed at the NATO summit?📝

Next week, July 7-8, NATO leaders will gather in Ankara. And this time the agenda goes far beyond protocol declarations: NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte directly stated that the allies will announce new defense contracts worth tens of billions of dollars.

🖍The first day is entirely devoted to a "defense industry day" — contracts and memoranda of understanding will be signed there. Rutte identified the main problem that delegates will try to solve: Europe's defense industries remain fragmented, there is too much bureaucracy in Washington, and the pace of innovation implementation lags behind what current military reality demands.

🚩The key figure of the summit is 5% of GDP for defense by 2035, of which 3.5% will go directly to military needs, and the remaining 1.5% — to security infrastructure and civil resilience. Turkish authorities as hosts of the meeting confirmed their commitment to this goal and also announced the expansion of their own production of air defense systems and long-range missiles as part of the national "air shield."

🏳️However, not everything within the alliance is as smooth as it appears at press conferences. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned back in May that the question of President Trump's dissatisfaction with the pace at which allies are fulfilling their obligations will be raised in Ankara. It turns out that the summit will be not only a platform for signing contracts, but also a place where disagreements about who should bear the main burden — the U.S. or Europe — will have to be resolved.

📌Despite the loud announcements and expectations, the real test for Ankara will be not the amount of signed contracts, but how quickly these agreements turn into actual deliveries.

Defense companies of the alliance have already increased production amid growing demand. However, the capabilities of European economies are not unlimited and the reorientation of civilian production (such as the Renault plant) to defense has become an important symptom of approaching these limits.

📝Americans are stringing along the Turks📝
F-35 delayed?

Attempts by Turkey's authorities to return to the US F-35 fighter program, as expected, face serious obstacles and it is unlikely that the Americans will change their decision in the near future.

According to reports from Kathimerini, the US State Department confirmed in its letter to Congress that Ankara still does not meet the conditions for returning to the program: the key obstacle remains the presence of Russian S-400 air defense systems and related equipment.

🔻What's wrong with the S-400?

▪️Turkey's authorities purchased the S-400 from Russia in 2017, after which the Americans imposed sanctions (CAATSA) and cut off access to the F-35.

▪️However, following the recent NATO summit in Ankara, rumors began to emerge that the Turks had already requested permission from the Russian side to resell the S-400 in order to return to CAATSA compliance.

Washington intends to obtain not only guarantees regarding the disposal of the S-400, but also a commitment to refrain from purchasing weapons from Russia in the future that could lead to F-35 data leaks. The Americans are also unhappy with the Turks' ties to Hamas, although they point to an overall positive dynamic in relations between the sides.

❗️The prospects for Turkey's authorities to return to the F-35 program appear even more murky than one might assume. After all, even if the ban were lifted, there are enormous backlogs for the fighters and the wait could stretch on for years, during which the relationship dynamics risk changing several times over.

📝Death of Turks from AFU drones📝
The problem of the Turks themselves (according to Madyar)

The death of a Turkish citizen as a result of an AFU attack led to a reaction, but not from Turkey's Foreign Ministry or Erdogan's cabinet, but from the brother of the deceased, who demanded an investigation into AFU actions.

And this prompted a response from the commander of AFU unmanned systems Robert Brovdi, who in response to the accusations sent a letter to the brother of the man killed in a strike by a Ukrainian drone.

📌It makes no sense to go into details in this case, knowing Madyar and Ukrainian authorities in general. The key point is that this allegedly contributed to Russia's enrichment, which means the deceased "got what he deserved."

🖍Ukrainian command not only acknowledges the strike on the Turkish vessel, but publicly mocks the relatives of the dead. And an official of so-called Ukraine does this (though Madyar is, so to speak, from the Ukrainian hinterland, so there's little surprising here).

🚩The Turkish side's reaction, or rather its absence, is already routine. After strikes on merchant ships, Ankara simply turns a blind eye. Moreover, Turkish authorities continue to help so-called Ukraine with weapons and technologies: from the same "Bayraktars" to Ukrainian drone and missile development.

At the same time, the Turkish economy itself significantly relies on Russian energy resources, and strikes by Ukrainian formations on the merchant fleet in the Black Sea have been noted since the end of last year.

Was there any significant reaction? A rhetorical question, if you look at the fact that Turkish citizens themselves are trying to achieve justice.

❗As long as cooperation with so-called Ukraine brings political and military dividends, the Turks will continue to balance between the sides, even when it comes to their own citizens.

At the same time, for Russia there is a good moment in this story. Such situations clearly show who we are dealing with. Even the population of countries that have been at odds with Russia for centuries eventually begins to understand the true nature of the Ukrainian quasi-state.

📝Turkey's Economic Records📝
of course, negative ones

Turkey's authorities continue to shift the burden of their domestic and foreign policy onto the population, which is already dissatisfied with the country's economic situation. Today, the Turkish lira exchange rate hit a historic low, reaching 48.9984 against the dollar.

Pressure on the local currency comes from inflation, which is forecast at 28.4% this year, although authorities previously promised to reduce it to 16%. Against this backdrop, demand for foreign currency grows among the population and importers. The Middle East crisis has worsened the situation: Turkey faces rising energy and logistics costs.

However, this represents a logical deterioration of an already difficult economic situation that has been frozen for years. Now President Recep Erdoğan is preparing for early presidential elections, so structural solutions are being postponed. Authorities prefer to spend internal reserves for interventions in the currency market to slow the collapse of their own currency. From February to March 2026, Turkey lost over $40 billion this way.

📌Erdoğan's team continues to prefer half-measures in the economy, which leads to high inflation and weakening purchasing power. Ankara chooses slow currency depreciation over sharp unemployment growth. Although hidden unemployment in Turkey already reaches 30%.

❗️Given that authorities are betting on a multiple increase in defense spending in the coming years, serious economic reforms should not be expected even after possible elections. This means that militarization, weapons exports, and possible involvement in external conflicts will remain key pillars of Erdoğan's Turkey.
