40 years ago Gigi Masin from #Venice, #Italy composed his debut studio album.
Masin was a self-taught musician and composer, far from music business rules.
Wind was in fact not released and distributed, Masin printed few hundred copies for himself, some of which got destroyed after a flood. Those who wanted to buy Wind had to write him and possibly go to his house in Venice.
It became soon a cult album among musicians, artists like Björk and Nujabes often used samplings from it.
After many years Masin found out on the internet that the price for a copy of Wind had raised to 1000€, he then decided to reprint and distribute the album for everyone to enjoy and afford.

👨🎨 Few know he's also a painter. In 2016 he made this painting/collage as a Tribute To Venice and contributed to the restoration of #SanMarco square stones ❤️🔥

50 years ago Goblin from #Rome, #Italy released their 2nd studio album.
Roller came out one year after the iconic and successful 👉 Profondo Rosso and is one of the band's rare non-soundtrack albums, though some of the tracks in here would later appear in various films.
The front cover is taken by Louis-Léopold Boilly's illustration of Tartini's dream that inspired The Devil's Trill Sonata.
#Goblin showcase all their instrumental mastery here, free from movie plots and concepts, my favorite album from them ❤️🔥
