Neil Young
📀 Harvest
#Rock #CountryRock #FolkRock

50 years ago Neil Young released his 4th studio album... and his unrivalled masterpiece, still today considered one of the best albums of all time!
All songs contained in Harvest are absolute gems which marked an era in US (and #Canada) Country Folk Rock and this is unanimously recognized by fans and critics, irregardless of their preferred genre.

There are many prominent guests musicians in this album, among them all Neil Young's band mates of the time in Crosby Stills Nash & Young, plus #JamesTaylor, #LindaRonstadt, #JackNitzsche.
#NeilYoung is also backed by the London Symphony Orchestra in a couple of tracks.

Leonard Cohen
📀 Songs Of Leonard Cohen
#ContemporaryFolk

55 years ago Leonard Cohen from Quebec, #Canada released his debut studio album.

This album immediately got #LeonardCohen the unique place he holds in contemporary music, as songwriter, lyricist and poet.

Irregardless of any genre, artist and band, Cohen's influence is still today immense... as a one for all example this 👉 Gothic Rock band which took its name and an album title from a track and a line contained in Songs Of Leonard Cohen.

In this album:
Leonard Cohen – vocals, acoustic guitar
Jimmy Lovelace – drums
Nancy Priddy – vocals
Willie Ruff – bass
Chester Crill, Chris Darrow, Solomon Feldthouse, David Lindley – flute, mandolin, Jew's harp, violin, various Middle Eastern instruments

Moxy
📀 Moxy
#HardRock #HeavyMetal

50 years ago Moxy from Toronto, #Canada released their self-titled debut album.

Originally self-produced and indipendently released in Canada, Moxy was picked up by many radio stations in the US later in the year, this airplay caught the attention of a major (Mercury Records) which signed the band and distributed the album worldwide in 1976.

#Moxy is notable for featuring wonderful guitarist 🎸Tommy Bolin, who would join and record with Deep Purple later in the year.

One of my favorite Hard Rock hidden gems of the 70s🤘❤️‍🔥

In this album:
#BuzzShearman - vocals
#EarlJohnson - rhythm and lead guitar
#TerryJuric - bass
#BillWade - drums

Additional musicians
#TommyBolin - guitar solos
#TomStephenson - piano
#BuddyCaine - rhythm guitar

Rush
📀 Caress Of Steel
#ProgressiveRock #HardRock

50 years ago Rush from Toronto, #Canada released their 3rd studio album.

Caress Of Steel is considered a landmark album in #Rush career, as they definitively moved from their early blues-based Hard Rock sound towards Progressive Rock.

Surprisingly this album has always been poorly rated by most of the critics who consider it a low point in Rush discography.
To me is a fantastic album, the final suite "The Fountain of Lamneth" is one of my favorites Rush ❤️‍🔥

In this album:
#GeddyLee – vocals, bass
#AlexLifeson – 6 and 12-string electric and acoustic guitars, classical guitar, steel guitar
#NeilPeart – drums, percussion, lyrics, spoken word on "The Necromancer"

#TerryBrown – co-producer, engineer, arrangements
