🌿 Surah Al-An‘ām, Verse 160 — The Infinite Mercy of Allah "Whoever comes [before Allah] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit], and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will…
🌿 Qur’anic Reflection | Surah Al-An‘ām – Verse 160

“Whoever brings a good deed shall receive tenfold like it, and whoever brings an evil deed shall be requited only with the like of it, and they shall not be wronged.” (6:160)

🌸 The True Meaning of “Good Deed” and “Evil Deed”

According to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), this verse unveils a deep spiritual truth:
The greatest good deed (الحسنة) is love and recognition of the Ahl al-Bayt, and the greatest evil deed (السيئة) is hatred or denial of their rights.

💠 Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) said:

“The good deed is our love and the recognition of our right; the evil deed is enmity toward us and denial of our right.”
📚 Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt, vol. 4, p. 662

💠 Imam al-Baqir (a.s.) explained:

“The ‘good deed’ that Allah mentions is our Wilayah (Divinely ordained guardianship), and the ‘evil deed’ is enmity toward us.”
📚 Al-Burhān fi Tafsir al-Qur’an

💠 He also said:

“The good deed is the Wilayah of ‘Ali (a.s.) and love for him; the evil deed is hatred toward him.”
📚 Bahr al-‘Irfan, vol. 6, p. 525

🌷 Universal Mercy, But Exclusive Reward

Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) clarified that this verse applies to believers in Wilayah specifically:

“The verse ‘Whoever brings a good deed shall have tenfold of it’ refers to the believers.
If someone performs good deeds without Wilayah, Allah rewards him in this world—but in the Hereafter, he has no share.”
📚 Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt, vol. 4, p. 662

However, those who do not oppose Ahl al-Bayt yet live righteously, will enter Paradise by Allah’s mercy.

🌺 The Reward of Wilayah

Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) said:

“Whoever brings a good deed along with Wilayah, he will have tenfold of it.
But those who bring an evil deed — hatred toward us — their faces will be thrown into the Fire, and they will not be delivered from it.”
📚 Tafsir al-Furat al-Kufi, p. 139

He further explained that:

“The good deed that protects from the terror of the Day of Judgment is our Wilayah and our love.”

🌿 Hidden Wisdom

Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) also said:

“The good deed is to conceal our teachings;
and the evil deed is to disclose our secrets to those unworthy of them.”
📚 Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt, vol. 4, p. 664

🌞 Reflection

The Qur’an teaches us that true goodness is not just moral conduct, but spiritual allegiance — love for those whom Allah has made the standard of truth.
Without Wilayah, deeds are mere forms without light.
With Wilayah, even a small act shines tenfold in divine measure.

Verse 160 of Surah Al-An‘ām – The Reward of Good Deeds

“Whoever brings a good deed shall receive ten times the like thereof; and whoever brings an evil deed shall be recompensed only with its like, and they shall not be wronged.” (6:160) 🌿

✨ Imam al-Ṣādiq (a.s.) explained:

“Do you know what good and evil mean here?”
Then he said, “The good deed (ḥasanah) is concealing our teachings, and the evil deed (sayyi’ah) is spreading them among those who are not worthy.”
📚 Tafsīr Ahl al-Bayt, vol. 4, p. 664

🌸 Another narration from Imam al-Ṣādiq (a.s.):

“In the Book of Allah, ‘good deeds’ (ḥasanāt) are of two kinds and ‘evil deeds’ (sayyi’āt) are of two kinds.
The first type of good deeds are blessings such as health, security, and abundance in sustenance; while the first type of evil deeds are illness, fear, hunger, and hardship.
The second type of good deeds are the righteous actions of servants of God, as in:
‘Whoever brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof.’”
📚 Bihār al-Anwār, vol. 5, p. 201

💫 Imam al-Bāqir (a.s.) said:

“The believer is superior to the mere Muslim in his deeds and nearness to Allah.
For Allah multiplies the good deeds of the believer seventyfold, according to the strength of his faith.”
📚 Al-Kāfī, vol. 2, p. 26 / Tafsīr Ahl al-Bayt, vol. 4, p. 664

🌙 On fasting, Imam al-Ṣādiq (a.s.) said:

“The Prophet (PBUH) used to fast three days every month — Thursday in the first ten days, Wednesday in the middle, and Thursday in the last ten days.
Fasting these three days equals fasting for a lifetime, as Allah says:
‘Whoever brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof.’”
📚 Al-Kāfī, vol. 4, p. 92 / Bihār al-Anwār, vol. 94, p. 94

🌿 Reflection:
This verse shows Allah’s perfect justice and mercy — good deeds are multiplied tenfold (or even more for the faithful), while bad deeds are repaid only equally. Through sincere faith, patience in hardship, and acts of devotion such as fasting, the believer’s deeds shine brighter and are magnified many times over. 🌷

📖 Qur’an 6:161 — The Path of Abraham

Say: “Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path — a well-established religion, the creed of Abraham, who was ever upright and was not of the polytheists.”
(Surah al-An‘ām, 6:161)

🌿 The verse proclaims that true guidance lies in the pure and upright faith of Abraham (AS) — a faith cleansed of any trace of idolatry.

🌟 The Hanīfiyyah — The Pure Abrahamic Path

🔸 Imam al-Bāqir (AS):

“Hanīfiyyah left nothing unaddressed — even trimming the mustache, cutting the nails, and circumcision are part of it.”
(Tafsīr Ahl al-Bayt, v.4, p.678)

🔸 The Holy Prophet (PBUH):

“Allah sent His beloved friend (Abraham) with the Hanīfiyyah, commanding him to trim the mustache, cut the nails, remove underarm and pubic hair, and perform circumcision.”
(Wasā’il al-Shi‘ah, v.21, p.437)

🕊 The Hanīfiyyah represents purity of body and soul — the complete submission to Allah’s natural religion.

💫 Unity of Prophetic Mission

🔹 Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):

“Abraham’s religion is my religion; my way is his way. His Sunnah is my Sunnah, and I am superior to him — and my excellence is an honor for him.”
(Nūr al-Thaqalayn)

✨ The Prophet’s message is the continuation and perfection of Abraham’s mission — the same divine truth renewed.

🕋 The True Followers of Abraham

🔹 Imam al-Husayn (AS):

“None is upon the religion of Abraham except us and our Shī‘ah; the rest of the people are far removed from it.”
(Bihār al-Anwār, v.65, p. 85)

🔹 Imam al-Bāqit (AS):

“No one among this Ummah follows Abraham’s faith except us and our Shī‘ah.”
(Bihār al-Anwār, v.64, p. 33)

💖 The Imams affirm that the pure line of faith continues through the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and their true followers.

🌿 Purity and Sincerity

🔹 Imam al-Ṣādiq (AS):
“Hanīfan Musliman means: pure, sincere, untainted by any trace of idol worship or worldly motive.”
(al-Kāfī, v.2, p.15; al-Maḥāsin, v.1, P. 251)

🌸 To be Hanīf is to be entirely devoted to Allah — faith without mixture, worship without hypocrisy.

🕌 The Foundation of Islam

🔹 The Prophet (PBUH):

“Islam is built upon ten pillars — the testimony that there is no god but Allah (which is the foundation), and prayer (which is the obligation).”
(al-Khiṣāl, v.2, p.447)

These ten principles of faith reflect the very essence of Hanīfiyyah, the Abrahamic way — purified monotheism in practice.

✨ The Straight Path and Wilāyah

🔹 Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to Imam ‘Alī (AS):

“Whoever loves you for your religion and follows your path, he is among those guided to the straight path — the religion of Abraham.”
(al-Amālī of al-Ṭūsī, p.492)

🕊 True guidance to the Straight Path (Ṣirāṭ al-Mustaqīm) is realized through the love and allegiance to Imam ‘Alī (AS) — the living embodiment of Abrahamic faith in Islam.

📜 Summary Insight:
Surah al-An‘ām (6:161) invites humanity to return to the original Abrahamic monotheism — the Hanīfiyyah — revived and perfected through the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and safeguarded by the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

🌿 The Divine Scale of Truth — Surah Al-A‘raf, Verse 8

وَ الْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ فَمَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوازينُهُ فَأُولئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
“And the weighing on that Day will be the truth. So whoever’s scales are heavy—it is they who will be the successful.”
📖 (Surah Al-A‘raf, 7:8)

🌌 The Day When All Deeds Will Be Weighed by Truth

On the Day of Resurrection, every act will be measured—not by worldly standards of fame or recognition, but by Truth (al-Ḥaqq) itself.
No falsehood will alter the scale, and no injustice will pass unnoticed.
The balance of deeds will reveal who lived by divine sincerity and who strayed from it.

Imam al-Bāqir (a) explained that this verse “was revealed concerning us, the Ahl al-Bayt.”
📚 (Tafsīr Ahl al-Bayt, vol.5, p.22 / Biḥār al-Anwār, vol.24, p.258)

Indeed, the true measure of every believer’s life will be their connection to the guardians of truth — the pure Household of the Prophet ﷺ.

⚖️ Imam ‘Alī (a): The Living Scale of Deeds

The Prophet ﷺ said to Imam ‘Alī (a):

“O ‘Alī! You are the judge of this Ummah, the one who will take account of them. You are the Great Pillar of God on the Day of Judgment.
The return is to you, the reckoning is upon you, the Path is your Path, the Scale is your Scale, and the Standing Place is your Standing Place.”
📚 (Biḥār al-Anwār, vol.24, p.272)

Hence, ‘Alī (a) is not only the standard of justice but the very balance by which all deeds will be measured.
In the Ziyārāt we read;

“Peace be upon you, O Scale of Deeds.”
“Peace be upon you, O the most perfect and exalted Balance.”
📚 (Biḥār al-Anwār, vol.97, p.287)

💫 What Truly Weighs Heavy

Imam ‘Alī (a) said:

“Truthfulness is the sword of Allah in His heavens and on His earth.
If you wish to know whether you are truthful or false, examine your inner self and your intention,
and weigh it with the divine scale mentioned in His Word:
‘The weighing on that Day will be the truth.’
When your intention aligns with your word, your truthfulness is proven.”
📚 (Miṣbāḥ al-Sharī‘ah / Biḥār al-Anwār, vol.68, p.10)

🌷 The Meaning of the Balance

Imam ‘Alī (a) also taught that “the heavy or light balance” refers to the abundance or scarcity of one’s reckoning:

• Some will be judged lightly and return to their families joyfully.

• Some will enter Paradise without any reckoning, for they remained pure from worldly corruption.

• Others will face a detailed account for every small deed and will end up in torment.

• And the leaders of disbelief and misguidance will have no weight at all, for they disregarded the commands of God.
📚 (Biḥār al-Anwār, vol.90, p.98)

🌿 The Essence of the Scale

According to ʿAlī ibn Ibrāhīm al-Qummī,

“The weighing on that Day means recompense according to deeds — good for good, and evil for evil.
Those who deny the Imams have wronged the signs of God.”
📚 (Tafsīr al-Qummī, vol.1, p.223)

🌸 A Subtle Truth from Imam al-Bāqir (a)

“Good deeds are heavy upon the people of the world according to how heavy they are in their scales on the Day of Judgment.
And evil deeds seem light to them here according to how light they are in the Hereafter.”
📚 (Biḥār al-Anwār, vol.68, p.215)

🌺 The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Five things weigh heavily in the Scale:
Subḥānallāh, al-ḥamdu lillāh, lā ilāha illallāh, Allāhu akbar,
and a righteous child who dies, while the parent remains patient and seeks reward from Allah.”
📚 (Biḥār al-Anwār, vol.79, p.115)

🕊 Reflections

The verse “And the weighing on that Day will be the truth” reminds us that the only measure of success is alignment with the Divine Truth — the Truth embodied in the Prophet and his Ahl al-Bayt (a).
Every intention, word, and deed will one day stand before this scale — and the only weight that endures will be truth, sincerity, and love for the guardians of God.

🌿 The Divine Prostration and the Light of the Prophet and His Successors 🌿 📖 Surah al-A‘raf, Verse 11 “We created you, then We formed you, then We said to the angels: ‘Prostrate before Adam.’ So they all prostrated except Iblis; he was not of those who bowed.”…
“O Muhammad! These are My friends, My successors, My chosen ones, and My proofs after you.
By them I will manifest My religion, exalt My word, and purify the earth from My enemies through the last of them.
I shall make him the master of the East and the West, subdue the winds for him, and make the clouds obedient to his command.
I shall support him with My hosts and angels until My call is raised above all and all creation unites upon My oneness.
His rule shall endure, and the days shall rotate among My chosen ones until the Day of Resurrection.”

🌸 Reflection
The story of the angels’ prostration before Adam is not merely the tale of man’s creation.
It is the unveiling of the Light of Muhammad and his holy progeny (ع) — the very purpose of existence.
Through them, the heavens learned to glorify.
Through them, the earth found its balance.
And through the final of them — al-Mahdi (عج) — the world will once again return to divine order and unity.

🕊️ “Were it not for you (O Muhammad), I would not have created the heavens.”

🌟 The First Act of Rebellion: Iblis vs. Adam (AS) 🌟 Once upon a time, in the heavenly realms, God created Adam (peace be upon him). As Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) narrates, Adam remained in a sculpted form for forty years before being fully completed.…
🌿 The Story of Iblis and the Divine Test
📖 Surah Al-A‘raf (7:14–16)

(7:14)
He said: “Grant me respite until the Day they are raised.”

According to Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.), Iblis was the first who compared (qiyās) and became arrogant—and arrogance was the first sin ever committed against God.

Iblis said:

“My Lord, spare me from bowing to Adam, and I will worship You with such devotion that neither an angel nor a prophet has ever shown!”

Allah replied:

“I have no need of your worship. I wish to be worshiped as I command, not as you desire.”

When Iblis refused to prostrate, God expelled him, saying:

“Get out, for you are accursed. My curse shall be upon you until the Day of Judgment.”

Then Iblis pleaded:

“My Lord, You are the Just One — shall my reward be void?”
Allah said: “No. Ask of the world what you wish; I shall grant it.”

Thus Iblis asked for life until the Day of Resurrection, for power over Adam’s children, to flow through them like blood, to see them while remaining unseen, and to take any form he wished.
God granted all.

At last, Iblis swore:

“By Your Glory! I will mislead them all — except Your purified servants.”
(A‘raf: 16–17)

💠 Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) added:

“God granted Iblis respite until the Day when our Qa’im (al-Mahdi) shall rise.”
📚 Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt, vol. 5, p. 50; Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 60, p. 221

___

(7:15)
He (Allah) said: “You are of those given respite.”

When God accepted Iblis’s request, Adam (a.s.) cried:

“My Lord! You have empowered Iblis over my children, letting him flow within them like blood. What will be our share of protection?”

Allah replied:

“For every evil deed, only one will be counted; but every good deed will be multiplied tenfold.”
“The gate of repentance will remain open until the soul reaches the throat.”
“And I forgive again and again, without limit.”

📚 Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 11, p. 142

___

(7:16)
He (Iblis) said: ‘Because You have sent me astray, I will surely lie in wait for them on Your straight path.’

Imam al-Baqir (a.s.) explained:

“O Zurārah! He lies in wait for you and your companions, for others he has already finished his work.”

Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) said:

“The Straight Path (Ṣirāt al-Mustaqīm) that Iblis vowed to block is Amir al-Mu’minin ʿAlī (a.s.).”

🌸 Ayatollah Haeri Shirazi — “It’s Your Fault!” 🌸

🧥 “Back when I was teaching a course titled ‘The Truth of the Monotheistic School’ for the sisters at Haqqani Seminary, the late martyr Ayatollah Qodousi, who was the head of the seminary, had instructed them not to marry for three years — so they could focus entirely on their studies.

Sometimes, some of these sisters became confused and came to consult me: ‘A suitor has come, but we made a promise not to marry yet. What should we do?’
In every case, I told them: ‘Do not reject the proposal. If a good suitor comes, get married.’

🧥 Ayatollah Qodousi once told me: ‘You’ve ruined our plans!’
I replied: ‘This is my view — for a woman, marriage is the most important thing. I act based on that belief. If you disagree, I’ll stop teaching here.’

He didn’t continue the discussion.
Later, he was asked what had happened, and he said:
‘I saw in a dream a group of women standing naked somewhere. I asked: “Why are they naked?”
The answer came: “It’s your fault!”’

🕊 That’s when he realized the meaning of the Qur’anic verse:

“They are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them.” (Qur’an 2:187)

After that dream, Ayatollah Qodousi lifted the restriction and told the sisters:
“If a suitor comes, get married.” 💍

🌿 The Hidden Chain of Vices

When a person becomes entangled in immoral traits and vices, each one opens the door for another. One evil quality gives birth to the next.

For example, arrogance often leads to stinginess.
A proud person, overwhelmed by self-importance, begins to believe that what he owns belongs solely to him — that others are not worthy of sharing in his blessings. He sees himself as superior, even in material things.

In Islamic narrations, we find that “the stingy one is even stingy with his greetings.”
You may have seen such a person: when you approach him, he waits for you to say Salam first. If he is forced to reply, you barely hear it — perhaps just a nod of the head. This is a subtle form of miserliness, rooted in arrogance.

To break the horns of pride, one must initiate greetings with everyone, regardless of their status.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was known for this — no one ever greeted him before he greeted them first.

This simple act of saying Salam is a powerful cure for arrogance and a path to humility. 🌸

🌿 Imam Ali (a.s.) — Nahj al-Balagha, Sermon 129

📖 “Corruption has become manifest; there is no one left to change what is wrong, nor anyone to forbid disobedience and sin.
And yet, with such behavior, you wish to dwell in the Sacred Abode of God, in the neighborhood of His mercy, and to be among His most honored friends?
Never! God cannot be deceived regarding His eternal Paradise — His pleasure is attained only through sincere worship.
Cursed are those who enjoin good but abandon it themselves, and who forbid evil but commit it themselves.”

🌸 This powerful reminder from Amir al-Mu'minin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) exposes the tragedy of hypocrisy — when people speak of virtue but fail to live by it. True nearness to God requires authentic action, not empty words.

🔸 How Does Martyrdom Change a Person’s Life? 🔸

If the purpose of life is to reach the destination, then the faster the vehicle, the better the journey.
Among all possible paths and means, a wise traveler will choose the one that takes him more swiftly toward the goal — not the one that makes him stay longer on the road.

But if someone thinks this world is an inn, a temporary lodge he has rented, he’ll try to enjoy every comfort of it until the very last hour of his stay. He’ll think: “Since I’ve paid for it, I must enjoy it fully — every pleasure, every convenience.”
Yet, for the believer whose goal is the Hereafter, this world is not a residence but a path. His heart is always in motion — today here, tomorrow closer to the destination.

Martyrdom, then, is the swiftest vehicle to reach that eternal home. It takes the traveler in a single day — or even a single moment — to the final destination that others may spend years seeking.

The danger begins when a person settles down, makes this world his home, and says:

“How long can I keep this? How can I protect my comfort, my health, my wealth?”

Such a person becomes chained to preserving the temporary.
But the heart of a true traveler never rests — it longs for departure, not comfort.

🏕 Ascetic life (zuhd) does not mean weakness or laziness. It means working hard, producing, and serving — yet being content with what is necessary, carrying no extra burden that slows the soul’s journey.

🏰 Luxury (kaakh-neshini), on the other hand, means: “the more, the better” — always clinging, always collecting.

The one who travels light moves freely toward God.
The one who clings to comfort becomes trapped in the inn.

For the living heart, life itself is a journey.
Take away the sense of travel, and you take away its life.

💫 Years Before the Reappearance, Its Fragrance Reaches the Hearts of the Spiritual Ones 💖
👤 Ayatollah Haeri Shirazi
🔗 Source

Prophet Ya‘qub (Jacob) (A.S.), while far away from Canaan, told his family:

“Indeed, I sense the scent of Yusuf (Joseph), if you do not think me deluded.”
(Surah Yusuf, 12:94)

The Qur’an hints that some of the elect — the spiritually perceptive — cannot always disclose everything they know, for the hearts of people must first be made ready to receive certain truths.

Similarly, before the Advent of Imam al-Mahdi (A.J.), a few years prior to his blessed appearance, those who are meant to perceive it will perceive it. The fragrance of his nearness will be sensed by hearts attuned to the Divine.

🕊️ “If one’s inner senses are not dulled, and their soul bears even a trace of spirituality, they will gradually inhale the sweet scent of the Reappearance.”

Some hearts can truly feel the closeness of the Dawn of Justice, just as Jacob sensed Joseph’s presence from afar.

☀️ اللّهُمَّ عَجِّل لِوَلِیِّکَ الفَرَج، بِحَقِّ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْراء وَ بِحَقِّ زَیْنَبَ الْکُبْرَىٰ

🌺 The Reappearance is indeed very near.

🌿 Verse Reflection – Surah Al-A‘raf (7:31) 🌿

“O children of Adam! Take your adornment at every mosque, and eat and drink, but do not be extravagant. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess.” [7:31]

✨ A Lesson from Imam al-Sadiq (AS)
The Prophet’s family teaches us that “taking your adornment at every mosque” is more than wearing fine clothes—it signifies purity, preparation, and respect when standing before God or His representatives.

💧 Imam al-Sadiq (AS) explained to Alā’ ibn Sayābah:
"It means performing ghusl (ritual purification) when meeting every Imam."
(Tahdhib al-Ahkam, vol.6, p.110 / Wasā’il al-Shī‘a, vol.14, p.390 / Bihar al-Anwar, vol.97, p.132)

🏠 Furthermore, the Imam (AS) also said:
"Follow the path to the houses which Allah has elevated, where His name is remembered, and adorn yourselves accordingly."
(Al-Kāfī, vol.2, p.47 / Bihar al-Anwar, vol.66, p.10 / Nur al-Thaqalayn)

🌟 Another narration emphasizes:
"The adornment at every mosque refers to the Imams themselves."
(Bihar al-Anwar, vol.23, p.332 / Al-‘Ayashi, vol.2, p.13)

🍃 Takeaway:
Adorn your soul and body alike when approaching places of worship and the righteous. Eat and drink with gratitude, avoid excess, and always carry a spirit of respect. In doing so, we honor both God and His guidance.

🌟 Divine Guidance & True Obedience 🌟

📖 “Say: My Lord has only forbidden immoralities—whether apparent or hidden—and sin, and injustice without right; and associating with Allah that for which He has not sent down authority, and speaking about Allah without knowledge.” [7:33, Surah Al-A‘raf]

✨ Inner and Outer Dimensions
Imam al-Kazim (AS) explains:
"The Quran has both an apparent and a hidden meaning. All that Allah has forbidden outwardly has its hidden aspect in the unjust, and all that Allah has permitted outwardly has its hidden reality in the Imams of truth."
(Al-Tafsir al-Ahl al-Bayt, Vol. 5, p. 108; Al-Kafi, Vol. 1, p. 374; Wasā’il al-Shī‘a, Vol. 25, p. 10; Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 24, p. 189)

💡 Knowledge & Obedience are inseparable
Imam al-Sadiq (AS) teaches:
"No prophet was sent without commandments and prohibitions. Allah accepts from His servants only acts performed with knowledge and obedience to the one He sent. Whoever truly knows, obeys; whoever obeys, recognizes what is forbidden and permitted—both outwardly and inwardly."
(Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 24, p. 292; Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt, Vol. 5, p. 108)

🌿 Spiritual Insight:
True worship is not only performing rituals outwardly, but understanding their essence through the guidance of the Prophet and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS). Knowledge leads to action, and action without knowledge is incomplete. To obey Allah is to know His guidance and follow it fully—heart, soul, and deed.

🌿 The Inner and Outer Dimensions of Faith 🌿

📖 “Say: My Lord has forbidden only immoralities—what is apparent of them and what is concealed.”
— Qur’an 7:33

💠 Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq (AS) said:

“Both the apparent and hidden aspects of what Allah has forbidden are forbidden, and both the apparent and hidden aspects of what He has permitted are permitted.
The outward serves as a guide to the inward, and the inward strengthens and confirms the outward.
Whatever is blameworthy outwardly is blameworthy inwardly, and whatever is praiseworthy outwardly is praiseworthy inwardly.”

(Tafsīr Ahl al-Bayt, Vol. 5, p. 110; Du‘ā’im al-Islām, Vol. 1, p. 51)

🌙 The Balance Between Knowledge and Obedience

“Allah has never sent a Prophet calling people to knowledge without also commanding them to obedience.
Allah accepts deeds only when performed according to the obligations He has decreed—after recognizing the one who conveyed them.
First comes the knowledge of Allah, then His Messenger, then His appointed successor, and then the Imams after them.
True faith is not complete without knowing and obeying them—both outwardly and inwardly.”

(Tafsīr Ahl al-Bayt, Vol. 5, p. 110; Al-Kāfī, Vol. 1, p. 374; Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 24, p. 189)

🌺 The Roots of Virtue and Vice

“We—the Ahl al-Bayt—are the roots of every goodness, and from our branches spring all righteousness:
faith, prayer, fasting, patience, forgiveness, mercy, and honoring the virtuous.

Our enemies are the roots of every evil: lying, greed, injustice, severing family ties, usury, consuming orphans’ property, and committing open and hidden immoralities.
Whoever claims to love us while holding to their way—has lied.”

(Tafsīr Ahl al-Bayt, Vol. 5, p. 112; Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 2, p. 303)

🌟 Spiritual Reflection:
True Islam is both outer obedience and inner sincerity.
Without recognizing the divinely appointed Imams (AS), deeds remain form without soul.
The Ahl al-Bayt (AS) are the living measure by which truth and falsehood, purity and corruption, are known — for they are the bridge between the outward law and the inner light of faith.

🔸 Do You Have Enough Light? 🔸

📝 #Memory by Dr. Ali Haeri Shirazi about his father

My father had a particular fondness for Arabian jasmine among the shrubs, bushes, and flowers. He would say: "The fragrance of Arabian jasmine reminds the soul of #Paradise."

In a house where they lived for some time in Tehran, they placed a medium-sized pot of Arabian jasmine in his room. He said that at dawn, the entire space of the room would become fragrant. Then, with a smile, he said:

"For a while, this plant gave me neither flowers nor leaves. I felt it had a problem. I brought it from the other side of the room to the window. I guided the growth of its leaves with a string. I loosened its soil. Now it has budded again. Do you see? It has responded to the care with several buds at once!"

Then he fell into a deep silence...

"My child, a human being is just the same... If you see that for a long time your life is passing in idleness, you haven't grown, you haven't understood a point, you haven't nurtured a soul – surely something is amiss. Turn your attention to yourself!

See, do you have enough light? Do you not need pruning? Has your soil not died? Do you not need nourishment?...

A person finds joy in seeing
#growth. Whether it's the branches, leaves, and flowers of their beloved plant, or the spiritual growth of their beloved person...

And woe to the one who is moved to thought by the halted growth of the leaves and flowers of the Arabian jasmine, yet remains unaware of the lack of growth in their own soul
."

✅ Ayatollah Bahjat (may Allah sanctify his soul):

📝 Woe to those who do not look upon the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their words with reverence and greatness, or who fail to realize what treasures they truly possess!

🔸 Is it possible to develop a deep love for the Qur’an without loving the Ahl al-Bayt? Or vice versa?

📚 In the Presence of Bahjat, Vol. 3, p. 211

The Qur’an and the Ahl al-Bayt are inseparable guides to the same truth. Love for one naturally leads to love for the other.

🌱 The foundation of faith is built in childhood—not repaired in adulthood.

Parents often invest everything in their children's education, but lasting success requires more than academic achievement. A balanced upbringing nurtures both knowledge and faith, combining outward excellence with inner character.

🤲 Never lose hope. Sincere du'a, wise guidance, and meaningful spiritual experiences can leave a lasting impact at any stage of life.

💬 "Just as you invest in your child's education, invest in their relationship with Allah."
