✨ A Prayer of Gratitude

That night on Ashura, I wasn’t feeling well. Close to the Fajr adhan, I got up and prayed two rak'ahs. Then I whispered:

"O Allah, thank You. You gave him to me for 28 years. He was supposed to leave back then… but… thank You."

Over twenty years ago, during a majlis at my father’s house on Tasu’a, when the motorcycle hit Mostafa, I made a vow. I said:

"O Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (as), protect Mostafa yourself. I dedicate him as a soldier under your banner."

I promised to raise a devoted soldier for the flag-bearer of Karbala—and indeed, he became one. A soldier who, fittingly, was martyred on Tasu’a and joined the ranks of Hazrat Abbas (as).

🌹 Martyr Ayatollah Beheshti 🌹

💭 O Husayn! When your noble young son, ʿAlī Akbar, rode alongside you on the path to Karbala, you dozed for a moment on the back of your mount. In that short dream, you saw the fate ahead — and upon awakening, you recited:

“Innā lillāh wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn.”

👦 ʿAlī Akbar asked: “Father, what is the matter?”
You replied: “I see that all of us are moving toward the field of our bloody martyrdom.”

💔 The young son then asked:
“Father, are we not upon the path of Truth?”
You answered: “Indeed, we are.”

🌟 At that moment, ʿAlī Akbar spoke the immortal words that became a lesson for every youth and every believer:

“Then, O Father, we have no fear of death!”
(إذن لا نُبالي بالموت)

🕊️ A timeless message: When one walks the path of Truth, death itself becomes honor, not loss.

🔎 The Judeo-Christian Influence in the Upbringing of Yazid (Part 1)
🌐 Source: JS Center

✍️ The role of Christian Zionism in early Islamic history—especially in the tragedy of Karbala—is a matter of serious reflection. Christian-Jewish clergy played a decisive role in shaping conditions that eventually led to the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (AS).

⚔️ One striking case is Yazid, who, with the approval of his father Muʿawiya, was educated under the influence of Johanna/Serjios, a crusader-like Christian Zionist priest. Serjios, serving as Muʿawiya’s close advisor, was behind critical decisions—such as appointing ʿUbaydullah ibn Ziyad as governor of Kufa—directly affecting the Ashura uprising.

📖 In an interview, Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Mohammad-Reza Tabatabai (scholar of religions) explained:

The Qur’an identifies the Jews as the fiercest in enmity against the believers, while describing certain Christians as inclined toward kindness and humility.
*“You will certainly find the most hostile of people to the believers to be the Jews and those who associate others with Allah; and you will find the nearest in affection to the believers those who say, ‘We are Christians.’ That is because among them are priests and monks, and because they are not arrogant.” (Qur’an, 5:82)

📌 Key Insights:
1️⃣ Whenever Christianity becomes Judaized, it inherits the same hostility of the Jews toward Islam.
2️⃣ Jewish racial pride—condemned in the Qur’an—remains a core barrier to dialogue. Despite their worldly influence, they are described as marked with humiliation for their repeated covenant-breaking (Qur’an 3:112).
3️⃣ This racial superiority complex continues today. Even Jews in Iran privately assert their “chosen race” status when speaking with Muslims.
4️⃣ The Bible itself contains distortions about Prophet Ismaʿil (AS), portraying him unjustly as “a wild man” (Genesis 16:12). This shaped Jewish and later Western Christian views of Muslims as inherently violent—a stereotype modern Zionism reinforces through groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda.
5️⃣ Protestant Christianity, influenced by Martin Luther, glorified Jewish “chosen blood,” paving the way for the creation of the State of Israel by Protestant Britain.

🌍 Historical Parallels:
Just as Jews in Arabia settled around Salʿa and Faran (referenced in Isaiah 42:11 and Habakkuk 3:3) awaiting a prophet from Isaac’s lineage, modern Christian Zionists champion Israel as part of their apocalyptic vision.

⚠️ The lesson: The alliance of Christian Zionism and Judaism has historically undermined Islam, from the education of Yazid to the creation of Israel, and continues to shape Middle Eastern politics today.

Similarly, he and his followers nurtured Mirza Ibrahim Shirazi, who became the private tutor of the young prince Naser al-Din Shah of Iran.

The same blueprint—shaping future leaders through Christianized mentors—was used in Yazid’s time and continues in modern Zionist strategies, albeit now via scholarships, Western education, and cultural penetration.

💡 Conclusion:
The tragedy of Karbala cannot be fully understood without recognizing the Judeo-Christian missionary influence that shaped Yazid’s upbringing and policies. His Christian maternal lineage, his Zionist-like mentors, and the infiltration of fabricated traditions all formed part of a larger strategy to undermine Islam from within.

🔎 The Christian–Jewish Role in Shaping Yazid’s Character (Part 3)

✍️ Based on historical research, Zionist Christianity played a significant role in shaping Islamic history, particularly in the tragic event of Karbala.

📖 Yazid ibn Mu‘awiya was raised under the influence of Sergius (Sarjun) — a Christian priest with strong Zionist inclinations. Acting as a close advisor to Mu‘awiya, Sergius directly influenced Yazid’s worldview. For example, when the situation in Kufa grew unstable, he advised appointing ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad as governor — a decision that paved the way for the massacre of Karbala.

🍷 Wine and Christianity:
One striking aspect of Yazid’s upbringing was his justification of wine drinking through distorted Christian teachings. While Islam explicitly forbids alcohol —

“O you who believe! Intoxicants, gambling, idols, and divination are filth from the work of Satan, so avoid them that you may prosper.” (Qur’an 5:90)

Yazid would mock Muslims, claiming:

“If wine is forbidden in the religion of Muhammad, then drink it in the religion of Jesus son of Mary.”

⚠️ However, even the Bible condemns drunkenness:

“Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whoever is deceived thereby is not wise.” (Proverbs 20:1)

“Woe to those who rise early to run after strong drink… they shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.” (Isaiah 5:11, 1 Corinthians 6:9–10)

Thus, Yazid’s practice was not only against Islam, but also against authentic Christianity and Judaism.

💡 According to Islamic narrations, the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Wine is the mother of all evils.” (Kanz al-‘Ummāl, 5/13183)

🌍 This manipulation by Zionist Christianity was not unique — history shows similar patterns, such as in Andalusia, and today through modern intoxicants that weaken societies from within.

🕵️ Deeper questions remain:

Why was Sergius, a Christian priest, entrusted as treasurer in the court of Mu‘awiya?

Why was Abu Dharr al-Ghifari exiled after protesting his influence in Uthman’s court?

Why was Yazid’s governance tied to Zionist-Christian strategies?

📌 With nearly 2,000 Qur’anic verses addressing Jews and Christians, it is clear that their role in shaping Islamic history is central and demands careful study.

🙏 May Allah count us among the loyal supporters of Imam al-Husayn (عليه السلام) and grant us insight into these hidden plots throughout history.

🌺 New Muslim from Indonesia: “Lady Zaynab (sa) Is My Role Model”

🕊 Source: Rahyafteha.ir

Emilia — now known as Zaynab — is a Shia Muslim convert from Indonesia and a member of the Indonesian Human Rights Organization. She holds a Master’s degree from the United States and participated in the 9th International Spring of Martyrdom Festival in Karbala, organized by the holy shrines of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and Hazrat Abbas (a.s.).

She recalls:

“I came to Karbala because it was Imam Hussain (a.s.) who inspired my journey from Indonesia. I was originally a Christian, and although I converted to Islam with my family, I had many unanswered questions. I searched in Sunni sources but found no satisfying answers — until I came across Shia teachings, where I finally found the truth and peace I had been seeking.”

Emilia explains that embracing Islam — and especially Shiism — was not easy, but her struggles only strengthened her faith:

“In this path, I have faced many battles, yet the example of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and Lady Zaynab (sa) has made me steadfast. I chose Lady Zaynab as my role model. I have read much about her life, her pain, and her patience. Because of my deep love for her, I changed my name to Zaynab.”

Today, Zaynab dedicates her life to guiding others in Indonesia toward the light of Islam.

“Allah has granted me great success in calling people to the true faith,” she says.

💖 “Lady Zaynab taught me that strength is not in power, but in steadfastness for truth.”

🔸 The Etiquette of Fighting Against the Jews 🔸

When the Imam says, “The path to Jerusalem passes through Karbala,” it means: Those who wish to fight Israel must first equip themselves with the necessary weapon for this battle—and that weapon is pledging allegiance to Imam Hussain (AS). Only those who have already pledged allegiance to Imam Hussain (AS) can achieve victory over Israel.

This principle has a historical precedent. Israel is a Jewish state, and fighting against the Jews requires etiquette and a plan, much like in the early days of Islam. Study history, particularly the Battle of Khaybar, which is documented by both Sunni and other scholars. One of the scenes in history that leaves no room for doubt is the Battle of Khaybar. This battle took place over three consecutive days, in three stages. The first two stages ended in defeat, while the third brought victory.

Regarding the third stage—the stage of victory—the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) declared:
“Tomorrow, I will hand the flag to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and whom Allah and His Messenger love.”
This was the condition for victory.

Now, when the Imam says that the path to victory passes through Karbala, it means your commander must be Hussain ibn Ali (AS), the son of Ali (AS). Look back at history: Who was appointed as the commander in the Battle of Khaybar that led to victory? Today, the key to your success is the same: Pledge allegiance to the son of Ali (AS) in Karbala. Place him before you, and fight according to his method and path to achieve victory.

Pass through Karbala and declare: We do not fight for victory; we fight to fulfill our duty! Our goal is to never pledge allegiance to Satan. We seek neither spoils of war, nor fame, nor worldly honor. For us, the Hereafter and Allah are what matter—so that we never bow our heads to anyone but Allah!

🔸 The Meaning of "The Path to Jerusalem Passes Through
Karbala" 🔸

"The path to Jerusalem passes through Karbala" means combining unity and authenticity:

· Unity around the axis of fighting Israel,
· Authenticity through the pilgrimage to Karbala!

When you take Karbala as your slogan, you have firmly embraced and upheld all the rulings and authentic principles of Islam. And when you turn toward Israel, all those with even a trace of Islamic spirit will say "Barakallah" to you and stand in your ranks. All divisions are resolved, and all separations turn into unity.

When you take the reins of a horse, you must hold both strands on either side. If one slips from your hand, the other will be lost too. You must hold both sides firmly: both authenticity and unity.

This nation must go to Karbala and be dyed in the color of red [martyrdom]. Its authentic principles must be emphasized, its truths must shine forth, its sins must be washed away, and the humiliation to which it was condemned must be broken in Karbala, compensating for the past. Then, it must go to fight the Jews and easily defeat them!

The same Jews, with a population of 3 million, whom 70 million Muslims could not subdue—on that day when the youth are purified and cleansed in Karbala, and God accepts their repentance, you will see how they will overpower them with a small number!

Imam Hussain (AS) established a "factory" on Ashura:

· The asleep enter from one side and leave awakened,
· The irresolute enter and leave determined,
· The cowardly enter and leave courageous,
· The stingy enter and leave generous.

🌹 The Noble Lady of Sacrifice: Umm al-Banin (SA) 🌹

In the gardens of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), there blooms a flower of loyalty, courage, and motherly devotion: Umm al-Banin (SA), the wife of Imam Ali (AS) and the mother of the courageous Ab al-Fadl al-Abbas (AS) and his noble brothers.

She was not just a mother to her own sons—she was a mother to Imam Hussain (AS) and his family, loving them more than her own flesh and blood. Her heart was a sanctuary of faith, her loyalty a mountain of certainty.

When her four sons marched to Karbala with Imam Hussain (AS), she did not weep for their departure—she wept for Hussain (AS). And when news came of their martyrdom, her first question was: “Tell me about Hussain (AS).”

💔 Such was her love for the Imam (AS) that her own loss became secondary.

Her son, al-Abbas (AS), the flag-bearer of Karbala, the quencher of thirst, learned loyalty from her lap. She raised him not for herself, but for Hussain (AS).

📖 She teaches us:
True love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) means loving them above everything—even above our own children.
True loyalty means standing with the truth, even when it costs everything.

🌙 Today, we remember her not only as the mother of Abbas (AS), but as a symbol of faithful womanhood, unwavering loyalty, and selfless love in the path of Allah.

May peace be upon you, O Umm al-Banin, and upon your noble sons, the stars of Karbala.

🌹 Umm al-Banin (SA): The Mother of Loyalty & Sacrifice

She is the woman whose name means “Mother of Sons” — yet she raised those sons not for herself, but for Imam Husain (AS).
She is Umm al-Banin (SA), the wife of Imam Ali (AS) and mother of Abbas (AS), the flag-bearer of Karbala.

💧 Her Love Was for Husain (AS):
When her four sons left for Karbala, she did not weep for them — she wept for Husain (AS).
And when news of their martyrdom came, her first question was:
“Tell me about Husain.”

🕊️ The Mother Who Taught Loyalty:
In her lap, Abbas (AS) learned courage, loyalty, and the meaning of standing with truth until the last breath.
She raised not just sons — she raised standards of faith.

⚔️ Her Legacy in Karbala:
Her son, Abbas (AS), became the “Qamar Bani Hashim” — the moon of the Hashemites — who sacrificed his arms and life to bring water to the thirsty children of Imam Husain (AS).
That bravery was born from a mother’s heart — a heart that loved the Imam more than her own flesh and blood.

🌺 Lessons from Her Life:

· True love for the Ahl al-Bayt means putting them before everything.
· Loyalty is not just a word — it is action till the end.
· A mother’s dua can shape heroes who change history.

🕌 Her Sacred Shrine:
She is buried in Al-Baqīʿ Cemetery in Medina — a place of pilgrimage and prayers, where hearts still seek her intercession.

🌿 We Remember Her Today:
As a symbol of faithful motherhood, unwavering loyalty, and selfless love in the path of Allah.
Her story is not just history — it is a living lesson for every believer.

🔸 Taqiyyah: An Opportunity for Renewed Uprising 🔸

Our Imams (AS) sometimes resorted to Taqiyyah (dissimulation) to preserve the religion of Allah — so that believers would have more opportunity to strike at the Umayyad and Abbasid regimes.

However, in the event of the uprising of Aba Abdellah (Imam Husain) (AS), seeking further opportunity no longer made sense.
If the Imam had not risen and been martyred, the opportunity would have been given to disbelief to deliver its final blow — a blow that would result in nothing but the defeat of Islam and the Muslims.

If, at that juncture, the Imam had made allegiance to the tyrant like the other Imams, it would not have been a respite for the Imamate, but a respite for the tyrant.
The Imams needed time and opportunity to preach and spread Islam, not to hand it over to the tyrant and witness its destruction!

The peace of Imam Hasan (AS) was not a respite for Mu'awiyah — it was a respite for the believers, so they could prepare themselves for the time when they would once again launch a movement — a movement that could educate and guide the people.
If Mu'awiyah had killed all the companions of the Imam (AS), there would have been no opportunity left even for mourning him.

For example, it is narrated that Imam Ali (AS) in the Battle of Uhud was “very watchful and cautious.”
Why? Because he wanted to survive — so the enemy could not strike him. Not out of attachment to this world, but for the survival of Islam — just as he was willing to endure blows for the sake of Islam's preservation, but not in a way that he would stand and say, “If anyone wants to strike me, go ahead and strike!”

⚔️ The Generation That Saved Karbala: From Sacred Defense to Holy Shrine

A stark reminder from the leadership reveals how close we came to catastrophe—and how a generation forged in one war rose to prevent it.

🔴 Ayatollah Khamenei:
"ISIS had reached within a few kilometers of Karbala... They had come so close to the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) that they were hitting Karbala with 60mm mortars."

This was not a distant threat. It was an existential assault on the heart of Shiism.

🛡️ The Chain of Sacred Defense

The "Defense of the Shrines" did not emerge from nowhere. It was born from the "Sacred Defense"—the Iran-Iraq War. That war was a school.

· It built national capital and priceless assets.
· It laid the foundation for figures like Qasem Soleimani.
· The soldiers, commanders, and martyrs of that war became the teachers for all of today's and tomorrow's resistance movements.

🏴 The First Wave & The Unbreakable Line

When the first wave of terror struck Iraq, if the attackers had reached our holy sites, they would have completely destroyed them. They were that close.

The promise made to the families of our martyrs was clear: "Opening the road to Karbala is to open the door to the shrine of Imam Hussein."

🕊️ A Historical Parallel: Defying the Abbasids

This struggle echoes history. There was a time when the Abbasid caliphs were determined to destroy the holy grave of Aba Abdillah al-Hussein (AS) and the other sacred tombs.

A group of people gave their lives to stop them. They did not allow it.

Those footsteps—that ultimate sacrifice for the right to visit that grave—are what paved the way for the 20 million walking pilgrims of Arba'een we see today. That global majesty, that overwhelming love for Imam Hussein (AS), traces its first brick to those who gave their lives to visit his grave.

✨ The Legacy Continues

"Your children are the same."
The generation that defended the shrines in Syria and Iraq are the spiritual children of the Sacred Defense. They are the latest link in an unbroken chain of those who stand between the enemies of faith and the sanctuaries of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

Their victory preserved not just stones and mortar, but the living, breathing heart of a global faith.

🌹 The Pulling to Paradise: The Love That Even Angels Cannot Separate

“And those who feared their Lord will be led to Paradise in groups…” (Quran 39:73)

For years, Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi pondered over this verse: Why does Allah say the believers will be “led” to Paradise — as if they are being pulled, rather than eagerly running toward it?

The answer came in a heart-rending narration from Imam al-Sadiq (AS):

On the Day of Judgment, the lovers of Imam Husain (AS) will ask Allah for one final wish before entering Paradise: to see their Imam.
When Imam Husain (AS) comes to meet them, an eternal gaze begins — eyes locked, hearts pouring out, neither side able to look away.

It is a reunion of such depth and love that time stands still.
The angels finally receive Allah’s command:

“Pull these believers toward Paradise, for their meeting with Husain will never end by their own will.”

And so, they are gently led — not because they do not long for Paradise, but because they cannot bear to part from the glance of their Beloved.

---

💧 What does this tell us?

· True love for Imam Husain (AS) is not a slogan — it is a spiritual bond that transcends even the joys of Paradise.
· On that Day, while others are fearful, the mourners of Karbala will be radiant, joyful, and safe under the Throne, speaking of Husain (AS).
· Even the Hur al-‘Ayn will call to them from Paradise, but they will not raise their heads — so immersed are they in the presence of their Imam.

---

🕊️ Reflection for Today:

Let us build a love so true that on the Longest Day, it becomes our light, our peace, and the reason angels must pull us away from the One whose love we carried in our hearts all our lives.

O’ Husain, tie our hearts to yours, so that on That Day, we are among those who cannot part from you.

🌟 Zainab Taylor Thani: "Let Hussaini Culture Manifest in All Societies"

From Australia, Zainab Taylor Thani, founder of the Imam Mahdi (aj) Centre, delivered a powerful message in a webinar hosted by Imam Reza International University. She called Imam Hussain (as) "the greatest model of standing against oppression in the world," who sacrificed himself, his family, and his household for Islam.

✨ The Core of Hussaini Culture

For Hussaini culture—the living tradition of following Imam Hussain's (as) principles—to manifest in societies, several key elements are essential:

· Defining Mourning (Aza-e-Hussain): This includes all congregations, mourning, and lamentations specifically for Imam Hussain (as). It expresses grief and, more importantly, non-acceptance and non-submission to what Yazid imposed. It has become the main way to spread Karbala's message.
· Role of Revolutionary Beliefs
· Enjoining Good & Forbidding Evil (Amr bil-Ma'roof)
· Importance of Social Guardianship (Wilayah)

🌍 The Universal Call of Ashura

She emphasized that Imam Hussain's (as) cry on Ashura—"Is there anyone to help us?"—is a call to all humanity, for all times, to follow him. This cry inspires the mourning for him and highlights Ashura's importance.

⚡ The Struggle & The Global Resonance

While modern "Yazidis" create problems for Shias—citing arrests in Pakistan for reciting Ziyarat-e-Ashura—the message of Karbala is reaching millions globally through social media. Imam Hussain (as) has become a universal symbol of revolution, with billions worldwide chanting "Labbaik Ya Hussain"—a symbolic cry of solidarity with his values and historic mission, now an anthem for the eternal fight against oppressors.

💎 Mourning as a Silent Revolution

She described the "Revolution of Imam Hussain (as)" as a return to the pure Muhammadan Islam. Mourning for Aba Abdillah al-Hussain (as) can be interpreted as a silent revolution for the youth to keep the essence of Hussaini culture alive until the end of time. It teaches us to imitate his generosity and spirit of giving.

✨ The Night Prayer That Shook the Heavens... ✨

Sheikh Mitham Ali Panah narrates:

🕯️ The whole world is a sacrifice for that great Lady, whose Night Prayer on the 11th night was not abandoned...
The 11th night...when she was hungry 😔, thirsty 🌵, and had witnessed the tragedies of Ashura.

But this Night Prayer was different from all her other prayers. 🤲
And the difference was this:

Imam Sajjad (as) says: "I saw my dear aunt praying her nawafil while sitting down. O my aunt, I have never seen you pray your night prayers sitting before." ❤️

She replied: "My dear, I distributed my share of water and food among these hungry and thirsty women and children. I felt I had no strength left in my knees anymore." 💔

I don't know what kind of Night Prayer this is... 🤲
A prayer where Imam Hussain (as), says: "O my sister, do not forget me in this prayer of yours." 🌅
That is, he hopes to be included in the dua of Lady Zainab (s) in the heart of dawn.

Imam Mahdi (ajf) says: "Whoever weeps 😢 for the loneliness of my aunt Zainab, and then prays for my reappearance... I am the answerer of his prayer." 🤲

The calamity of Lady Zainab's captivity is immensely heavy... ⛓️
A calamity that even my Imam, the Imam of our Time, weeps bitterly over. 💔
