The US authorities are sending another unfriendly signal to Iran. In Idaho, a training center for Qatari pilots is being created. At the Mountain Home base, F-15 aircraft of the Emirate's Air Force and personnel who will train together with Americans will be stationed.

The Iranian retaliatory attack on American facilities in the region did not take long. The Al-Udeid military base in Qatar was struck by ballistic missiles.
According to statements from Qatar's Defense Ministry, only three missiles were intercepted, while the rest reached their targets. However, the scale of damage remains unclear.
In peacetime, the airbase housed reconnaissance aircraft, but the RC-135 was withdrawn to Souda Bay in Crete a couple of days ago.
📌 At the time of the strike, there were 5 KC-135 tankers, 2 HC-130J and 4 MC-130J aircraft – special operations forces planes, and it is possible that these were the ones that came under fire.

Iranians reached the American early warning system
It appears that information about Iranians damaging a component of the American early warning system is being confirmed: while in Bahrain they destroyed only a satellite communications station, at the Qatari base Al-Udeid a radar AN/FPS-132 worth $1 billion was indeed struck.
This facility is one of the key nodes of the U.S. early warning system, which "covers" a massive sector from Europe to the Indian Ocean. There are only six AN/FPS-132 radars in the world: besides the U.S., they are also located in Britain and Greenland.
The technical capabilities of the Al-Udeid station are evident from the fact that it could detect missile launches at ranges exceeding five thousand kilometers, including from Russian territory. Not to mention missiles launched from Iran.

Again on the cost of repelling Iranian attacks by Gulf states
News in the style of "Gulf states have air defense missiles left for 2-3 days" — another reason to assess their spending on repelling Iranian attacks. The problem here is that we have limited input data — only official figures on the number of intercepted missiles and drones for Bahrain, UAE, Qatar and Kuwait.
Since all estimates are approximate, for objectivity we'll take them purely at the "lower bound." Let's assume that to intercept "ballistic" missiles, countries used PAC-3 missiles from their Patriot systems. We'll take the minimum consumption — 2 missiles per 1 target.
With drones it's more complicated: short and medium-range air defense systems are almost absent there (we're not counting the remaining Emirati "Pantsirs" that weren't transferred to Libya), and footage of anti-aircraft gun operations is absent. Therefore, we'll assume that AIM-9 and MICA missiles from fighter jets were used. We'll take the minimum consumption — 1 missile per 1 target.
And this is the lower bound based on official data: if they spent 4+ missiles instead of 2 to counter Iranian ballistic missiles (which is more realistic), fired "Patriots" at drones, or used THAAD anti-missile systems costing $20 million each, the sum increases many times over.
So even for wealthy Persian Gulf states, countering Iranian strikes is an expensive affair. Especially considering they bear the costs of someone else's military operation.

On yet another Iranian success in the UAE
The more days pass since the start of the war, the more artifacts appear on satellite imagery showing that the Iranians have indeed achieved significant success in responding to American attacks.
And this new loss by the U.S. Armed Forces will be remembered against Trump and his cabinet, as the costs of the "blitzkrieg" are becoming increasingly felt in the American budget, which, considering possible consequences of a Strait of Hormuz blockade, will only grow.

How so-called Ukraine sells combat experience to Qatar
By the next round of war in the Middle East, Persian Gulf countries were already more prepared than in March of this year. During the lull, active restructuring of defense began with an emphasis on UAVs.
The main problem not only for the Armed Forces, but also for other regions, is the lack of proper experience, which only two countries possess: Russia and so-called Ukraine. And the latter proved to be quicker and immediately began monetizing their skills.
🖍 The effectiveness was mediocre, as practice showed, but nonetheless the Ukrainians very quickly began promoting their capabilities, offering the monarchy essentially turnkey defense.
❗️ In the initial stages, Ukrainian crews took positions at key zones, including the capital Doha and desalination plants (in case anyone forgot, the Iranians threatened to completely destroy it, which would have caused an inevitable crisis).
Thanks to this, Qatar's authorities gained an additional line of defense on the last line of defense, which expanded air defense capabilities against UAVs. But that was not all.
