SL Benfica v Juventus: Group H - UEFA Champions League Photo by Carlos Rodrigues/Getty Images Things are moving and shaking for strikers in Europe. As Bayern Munich seeks to bring in Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane, one of its other targets — Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović — could be figuring out his next stop. Sportskeeda captured a report from Gazzetta Dello Sport, which states that futures of Chelsea FC’s Romelu Lukaku and Vlahović could be intertwined. Inter Milan wants to bring Lukaku back to Italy, but Juventus is also interested in the Belgium international. The report suggests, that Chelsea would seek to send Lukaku + cash to Juventus for the Serbian attacker. The roadblock preventing this deal from happening might be that Lukaku wants to go back to Inter Milan, where he spent last season on loan: Chelsea will reportedly have to shell out a €80 million fee if they want to sign Manchester United target Dusan Vlahović from Juventus. As claimed by Gazzetta Dello Sport (h/t SportWitness), the Blues are interested in the Serbia international as Mauricio Pochettino looks for a top-class striker up front. As per the aforementioned report, the Blues will need to splash a fee of around €80 million (£64.8m) in order to sign Vlahović. Chelsea have acquired Senegalese attacker Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal for around £30 million this summer. However, it is understood that the Blues are looking for a more established first-choice number nine and Vlahović fits the bill. The scenario could have a major impact on Bayern Munich should its pursuit of Kane flame out.Juventus have reportedly asked Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku + €25million in exchange for Dusan Vlahovic!

Who gets the better deal here? pic.twitter.com/t2jxaV3lA6— 90min (@90min_Football) July 9, 2023Fabrizio Romano also chimed in with some news on Vlahović, which indicates that the big striker could leave Juventus, but only for a big project. Paris Saint-Germain joins Bayern Munich and Chelsea in having interest in the 23-year-old: Understand Dusan Vlahović could leave Juve — but only for an important bid

He’s one of four strikers being considered by PSG.

As it stands, it is starting to look like a deal is going to get done. The big question for Bayern Munich fans is regarding who the club will get to replace Pavard on the roster: Inter are now confident to get Benjamin Pavard deal done. Direct contacts with Bayern ongoing right now. ⚫️

Benjamin Pavard has had enough. Bayern Munich is...well, taking its sweet, old time. With just days left in the summer transfer window, Inter Milan has set a deadline of 15:00 CEST (9:00AM EDT) for a deal with Bayern Munich to get done for Benjamin Pavard per Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia): Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta called Jan-Christian Dreesen yesterday to let him know that they needed a decision by 15:00 today. Pini Zahavi is playing the role of an intermediary between the two clubs in the background. Bayern want to clarify the right-back position before giving Pavard the green light to leave - either by signing a replacement (Chalobah/Bella-Kotchap) or deciding to rely on Konrad Laimer as backup for Mazraoui. In that case, the club would have to sign a new No. 6.Here is another nugget from the report by Falk and Altschäffl: Chelsea would only agree to a loan deal for Trevoh Chalobah if it includes an obligation to buy.Bayern Munich’s interest in Chalobah and Bella-Kotchap was backed up by a report from Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg: Trevoh #Chalobah is still the main priority for FC Bayern as always reported in the last days! #CFC

Feyenoord v Almere City FC - Dutch Eredivisie Photo by Peter Lous/BSR Agency/Getty Images Pavardone deal, here we go! Bayern Munich are now moving ahead in their quest to replace Benjamin Pavard. The Bavarians have sent Pavard to Italy for his medical check before he officially joins Inter Milan. With that sorted, Bayern have now sauntered towards Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geertruida who is a player they have shortlisted for the right-back role.❗Bayern are now working on signing Lutsharel Geertruida from Feyenoord [@DiMarzio] pic.twitter.com/6hLOD3YzoZ— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) August 29, 2023The Rekordmeister are also looking at Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea FC as another option for the spot that Pavard will vacate. Geertruida has the edge over Chalobah because Bayern are looking for someone who can play center-back and right-back (Pavard played both positions). The funds that Bayern will receive from Inter for the Pavard transfer has opened the door, paved the way, whatever you want to call it, for the road to Geertruida. Of course, Bayern could just throw in Konrad Laimer at RB as a worst-case scenario, but it need not be that way if this transfer is successful.—RIPLTAs far as Bayern Munich’s potential pursuit of Chelsea FC’s Trevoh Chalobah goes, there are conflicting reports floating around. Football Insider is reporting that a deal is done: Chelsea star Trevoh Chalobah is undergoing a medical at Bayern Munich on Tuesday (29 August), sources have told Football Insider. The Bundesliga giants have agreed a deal with the Blues and are poised to sign Chalobah on an initial loan with an option to buy. However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is reporting that talk of a medical for Chaloah at Bayern is premature: Told stories about Trevoh Chalobah now undergoing medical tests at Bayern are wide of mark. No medical in London or Munich as of now. ❌

Negotiations between Bayern & Chelsea took place — #CFC insist on permanent deal or no way.

Chelsea FC Training Session And Press Conference – UEFA Super Cup 2021 Photo by Catherine Ivill/Getty Images Once terms are agreed between both clubs, the player can travel to Munich for a medical, but things hit a snag along the way. Bayern Munich had been pushing for a move to sign Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah and it looked like an agreement was on the verge of being reached between the two clubs. Per Sky Sports News (via @iMiaSanMia), the two clubs were still in talks and the Rekordmeister was pushing for a permanent deal for the player. Thomas Tuchel was keen on being reunited with the 24-year-old defender and also wanted to add more defensive depth after losing all of Lucas Hernandez, Benjamin Pavard and Josip Stanišić during this summer’s transfer window. Now, however, it looks like the deal is off as Bayern has focused their financial efforts on securing the signing of Portuguese defensive midfielder João Palhinha from Fulham. Because of the finances required for that particular move to happen, a deal fro Chalobah is now off for Bayern, as per Standard Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella (via @iMiaSanMia). Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg has also backed this news:❗️ Trevoh #Chalobah and FC Bayern is close to be OFF now!

As Chelsea only wants to sell him. This is definitely not an option for Bayern. #CFC@SkySportDE pic.twitter.com/6H5V0Cctbw— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) August 31, 2023Initially, when Bayern had first inquired about Chalobah, they were interested in getting him on a loan deal, but Chelsea preferred a permanent sale of the player. It had seemed that Bayern was open to a permanent purchase for Chalobah and only terms and fees being agreed upon stood in the way of him travelling to Munich for a medical before the window closes. It is safe to assume that his prospects for minutes would at least be slightly higher at Bayern as opposed to Chelsea, especially given the fact that Tuchel has previously worked with Chalobah during his tenure as Chelsea manager. Tuchel seemingly would have known where to best utilize him and what systems he’d work best in, but now that a move is off, Tuchel will still be short one more defender...unless he has another trick up his sleeve.

FC Bayern Muenchen Training And Press Conference Photo by FC Bayern - Handout/Getty Images Strike that one off the list... According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, former Bayern Munich and German national team head coach Hansi Flick will not be making a jump to Chelsea FC as the 59-year-old is focused on other opportunities: Been told from the coach’s circle that Hansi #Flick will not become the new coach of Chelsea. The 59 y/o is focused on other projects. #CFC @SkySportDEFlick has been loosely linked to the job openings at Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona, while also — allegedly — being a candidate for Manchester United should the Red Devils sack Erik ten Hag. Something, however, has prevented Flick from being a serious contender with Bayern Munich. Is it the hard feelings from Flick stepping away during his last tenure with the club? Is it the fallout from his disastrous flameout at the 2022 World Cup? Is it the perception that he can no longer control a locker room after the German national team’s ill-fated Amazon documentary?Who knows, but it does appear as if Flick has some irons in the fire, it just remains to be seen how hot they really are.

Bayern Munich - Bayer Leverkusen Photo by Tom Weller/picture alliance via Getty Images Now only Bayer Leverkusen stand in the way... Links between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen player Jonathan Tah have been ongoing for months now and have shown no sign of slowing down. Instead, it seems that the first big milestone has been reached. Florian Plettenberg reports, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, that Bayern have reached a “total agreement” with Jonathan Tah just in time before the 2024 EUROs kick off. With the 28-year-old agreeing to a contract until 2029. there is seemingly only one obstacle between the transfer of Jonathan Tah to Bayern Munich and that is Bayer Leverkusen.Leverkusen have been informed that “Jonathan Tah is definitely the top target for the defense for Bayern” and brace themselves for negotiations with the Bavarians. With an agreement from Tah and his contract with Leverkusen expiring in 2025, it seems that Bayern have all the leverage. But in case the move does not work despite the odds, Bayern has backup plan: Chelsea FC’s Levi Colwill. The left-footed center back has yet to fully establish himself at the Londoners amid serious competition while the new American ownership at Chelsea have developed a habit of selling academy graduates such as Colwill for pure profit. In fact, Plettenberg reports that “it’s also possible that Colwill could join in addition [to Tah].” With Colwill signed to Chelsea until 2029, however, a move may be very expensive.Getting Colwill could prove to be very difficult per Fabrizio Romano: Understand Chelsea position on Levi Colwill remains same as last summer: no plans to sell him.

An offer incoming?Things might be a little spicy between Bayern Munich and Chelsea FC as the two clubs talk about a deal for Mathys Tel. Per Daily Mail journalist Sami Mokbel (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is interested in Christopher Nkunku, so the talks could be two-fold:• Chelsea made an enquiry for Mathys Tel, who would cost in-excess of £40million (€47.6m)• Bayern are understood to have monitored the situation of Christopher Nkunku• As of now, no swap deal has been discussed or offered by Chelsea • It is understood Nkunku would be open to joining Bayern if the opportunity presented itself• Chelsea’s interest in Tel is concrete and the club would likely make an official offer if offered encouragement by BayernAccording to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea FC has held talks with Bayern Munich in recent days over...Mathys Tel.The explosive Frenchman has not gotten on track this season and has had trouble finding minutes on Vincent Kompany’s squad. So far this season, Tel has only played 351 minutes in 12 appearances across all competitions. Bayern Munich’s depth has kept the youngster on the sideline, which led many to speculate that he would pursue a loan or a transfer this winter. Last week, though, reports of a “long, direct” talks indicated that Tel was convinced to stay put by Vincent Kompany. After not playing over the weekend, did things change? Maybe, but that is impossible to know at this stage. Either way, Romano had some details on what might be going on: EXCL: Chelsea held talks about Mathys Tel with Bayern in the recent days, early stages of contacts to be informed on his situation.Tel spoke to Kompany 10 days ago as he wants to succeed at Bayern; while Chelsea asked for info on Mathys during talks with the German club.Tel has no goals, nor any assists in any of Bayern Munich’s major competitions this season. Chelsea v Morecambe - Emirates FA Cup Third Round Photo by Crystal Pix/MB Media/Getty Images Will Bayern Munich get a deal done for the Chelsea attacker this month? Bayern Munich’s rumored interest in Chelsea FC attacker Christopher Nkunku appears to be legitimate. L’Equipe broke down the situation (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) and a transfer will not be easy, but Bayern Munich does, indeed, appear to be serious:Bayern have been making efforts in the past few days behind the scenes to convince Christopher Nkunku to join them. The club, aware of Nkunku’s qualities since his time in Leipzig, and have never lost sight of him. The Frenchman, unhappy with his situation at Chelsea is open to the move - therefore Bayern believe now is the right time to sign himMeanwhile, Chelsea took the opportunity of Bayern’s interest in Nkunku to enquire about Mathys Tel, who has been a target for them for a long time. The English club informed Bayern yesterday of their desire to sign Tel. However as of yesterday, Tel has not changed his position. He remains committed to Bayern and to his decision to stay despite all the enquiries For now, it remains to be seen whether the fact Bayern are not opposed to including him in a deal for Nkunku will have an effect on the relationship between Tel and the club. Further talks are set to take place. The Athletic (via @iMiaSanMia) is reporting that the reason that Nkunku is available is because he is not likely to break past the players above him on the Chelsea depth chart:Chelsea rate Nkunku’s talents but with Nicolas Jackson the preferred striker, Cole Palmer the first choice #10 and Maresca liking wingers in his system, there is not much room for him to make his mark. Before the window opened, Chelsea were not looking to sell but would listen should a club come with a ‘high enough bid.’Meanwhile, Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg (via @iMiaSanMia) is reporting that Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl is “determined” to get Nkunku: Max Eberl is determined to sign Nkunku this month even if Mathys Tel ended up staying. It would be complicated, but Bayern are making efforts. Both the club and the player are interested in a permanent deal, not a loan move. Finally, Fabrizio Romano (via @iMiaSanMia), doubled-down on previous reporting that Nkunku is pushing for a move to Bayern Munich: Christopher Nkunku is keen on joining Bayern in order to get more game time. Financial terms have not been agreed yet between the player and the club, but will not be a problem.Romano added one final detail on the cost — which is significant: Chelsea’s initial request to Bayern for Christopher Nkunku: €70m package.Nkunku’s keen on the move to Bayern, now up to the clubs with Mathys Tel situation also to be clarified/discussed.Meanwhile, Daily Telegraph journalist Matt Law says it could be even more: Chelsea value Christopher Nkunku at around £65m (Editor’s Note: €77m)as Bayern Munich try to sign the forward. Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Dortmund - Bundesliga Photo by Harry Langer/DeFodi Images via Getty Images Bayern Munich had a quick turnaround this week... Bayern has challengers for Gittens (@Plettigoal)it is no secret that Bayern Munich has strong interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens, but if the Bavarians want to secure the Englishman, they will have to ward off challenges from both Manchester United (dumpster fire) and Chelsea FC per Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg: ⭐️ It’s not just FC Bayern considering a move for Jamie #Gittens this summer.Manchester United and Chelsea are also seriously interested. #MUFC #CFC No decisions have been made yet, but all teams have expressed concrete interest. If Borussia Dortmund fail to qualify for the Champions League, the departure of the 20-year-old top talent becomes highly likely. Gittens will cost a pretty penny and while Bayern Munich might really like him, Manchester United and Chelsea could actually be more desperate and willing to back up the Brinks truck for him.Leipzig pursuing Weah? (ESPN)RB Leipzig could be looking at a loan deal for USMNT attacker Timothy Weah: RB Leipzig have seen a loan bid to sign USMNT winger Timothy Weah rejected, according to Foot Mercato. The deal would have contained an option to sign the 24-year-old permanently, but Juve want to keep him as he has registered four goals and four assists in 20 appearances so far this season and seems to have the faith of new head coach Thiago Motta.Bavarian Podcast Works — Flagship Show: Season 7, Episode 26 (Bavarian Football Works)Bayern Munich is in a hellacious stretch here, but we have you covered with everything. (Football Espana)As rumors continue to swirl that Bayern Munich and Alphonso Davies are close to a new deal, Real Madrid might be officially moving on from a pursuit of the Canadian: Real Madrid are eyeing up multiple high-profile signings for the summer transfer window, although one looks like it is about to fall through – that being for leading left-back target Alphonso Davies.Davies has been on the club’s radar for some time, and the idea is picking him up in the summer after the expiry of his Bayern Munich contract has been very appealing. However, it is looking less and less likely that the Canadian international will be available for free at the end of the season.Bayern offered a new deal to Davies earlier this week, and an agreement is said to be very close. As such, Diario AS have reported that Real Madrid are starting to accept that they will not be signing the 24-year-old.Left-back has been a problem position for Real Madrid this season, so Davies’ arrival has been necessary. Chelsea v Morecambe - Emirates FA Cup Third Round Photo by Crystal Pix/MB Media/Getty Images Will Bayern Munich make a move? According to a report from Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich could still have the potential to get Chelsea FC attacker Christopher Nkunku if the German table-topper wants him. Per Whitwell, Nkunku is available on loan. However, it has been widely assumed that to make a move for a player like Nkunku, Mathys Tel would have to agree to leave Bayern Munich on a loan or even a full transfer. Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg (via @iMiaSanMia) is reporting that Tel still does not want to go anywhere, despite his lack of playing time. Plettenger also stated that Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl still wants Nkunku. Mathys Tel had made it clear internally that he wanted to stay at FC Bayern. But the *lack of* playing time in recent games will still influence his decision. Bayern are not putting any public pressure on him, but things are currently difficult for him under Vincent Kompany. Bayern are aware that Chelsea still have Tel high on their list, with other teams, including some from the Bundesliga, interested as well. Further talks with Tel will take place this week, with Max Eberl still interested in signing Christopher Nkunku. In Bayern Munich’s last three games, Tel has not made an appearance. Overall, Tel has only played 396 minutes this season across 13 games this season. Tz journalist Philipp Kessler (via @iMiaSanMia) backed up Plettenberg’s report, but did state that Tel wants to be shown a “clear plan” and also that a meeting will take place this week between Bayern Munich and Tel’s camp: Mathys Tel is currently not interested in a move to Chelsea as he does not see it as the ideal destination for his development. Tel still loves Bayern, but wants to be shown a clear plan. The club will have to follow up their promises with actions in order to keep him. A meeting between the player’s camp and the people in charge at Bayern is planned for this week. With just a few days left in the transfer window, Tel and Bayern Munich will need to get this situation sorted out quickly. As for Nkunku, Plettenberg is reporting that Manchester United could make a move for him: | Understand Chelsea and Manchester United remain in contact regarding a transfer of Christopher #Nkunku until Deadline Day. #CFC This is also because a departure of Alejandro Garnacho still remains a possible scenario. #MUFC⚠️ Nkunku is open to a move. A deal with FC Bayern is (also) still possible, but it depends on Mathys Tel, who may reconsider his decision to stay at Bayern this week. But Tel, currently not considering a move to Chelsea as per @kessler_philipp. Is Bayern Munich setting the bar too low for itself with some of the decisions that it is making? Where does Bayern need to to improve the roster now...and in the future? Should the club just stay quiet about Joshua Kimmich’s contract situation? We think so! FC Bayern München v Celtic FC - UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Knockout Play-off Second Leg Photo by Harry Langer/DeFodi Images via Getty Images Bayern Munich is hosting Bayer Leverkusen in the UCL today... Bayern sets price on Coman (Bild via @iMiaSanMia)Bayern Munich has extended quite a few players so far, with a few others reportedly nearing new deals. In addition, Bayern Munich looks as if it is prepared to push all of its chips to the middle of the table in an effort to get Florian Wirtz this summer. To even attempt to afford all of these moves, Bayern Munich has to generate funds from somewhere — and one source of income could be a sale of Kingsley Coman: Bayern have set a €35-45m price tag for Kingsley Coman. Arsenal and Saudi Pro League are potential destinations for the Frenchman, who is open to a summer move. Coman is one of the players Bayern want to offload to reduce the wage bill and raise funds.Uh...Coman is not worth that much anymore. At 28-years-old, inconsistent, and oft-injured, Coman does not offer much a skill-set that clubs cannot find or develop for a lot less money. Moreover, Coman’s struggles with his crossing and finishing have continued on from his early days at Bayern Munich. It would be awesome to see Bayern Munich get as much as it is asking, but — in reality — Coman is just a guy with some close-range explosiveness, some good ideas, and a willingness to defend. Sure, those are wanted traits in today’s game, but there are more complete, better players who will be available for less money. All that said, godspeed to Bayern Munich if it can get that type of fee for Coman in today’s market. Šeško on the move? (@Plettigoal)RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško does, indeed, have a release clause and several clubs — Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal FC — are interested: EXCL | Until now, there had only been talk of a verbal agreement, but Benjamin #Sesko has a formally fixed release clause in his contract until 2029. This clause can be activated starting this summer. It is tied to various parameters – such as games played, goals, and assists – and increases regularly. Currently, the clause stands at around €70m for the 21-y/o top striker, but by the end of the season, it is expected to reach approximately €80m.All top English clubs have expressed interest, including Manchester United, Tottenham, and Arsenal. The only club not involved in the race is Manchester City. #MUFC #AFC #MCFC However, Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg noted that Chelsea FC could also get involved and Tottenham might not really have a chance to land Šeško: RB Leipzig are aware of the strong interest from several top Premier League clubs in Benjamin #Sesko. As previously revealed, the 21-y/o top striker has a formally fixed release clause for the summer, which could rise to €80m by the end of the season.Tottenham currently have little chance, while Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal have all expressed concrete interest. #MUFC #CFC #AFCThe timing of all of this is...troublesome if you are like this author, who think Šeško could be the ideal successor for Harry Kane. AFC Bournemouth v Fulham FC - Premier League Photo by Robin Jones - AFC Bournemouth/AFC Bournemouth via Getty Images Bayern Munich will take on Mainz 05 this weekend! Don’t look now, but there appears to be some traction growing on those stories linking Bayern Munich to Bournemouth center-back Dean Huijsen. While it is far from a done deal, it at least appears as if Bayern Munich is a serious contender for the Spain international.Fabrizio Romano checked in with some news, which indicated Bayern Munich is interested, but needs to sell a piece or two to make a deal happen: Dean Huijsen has not decided his next club yet as £50m release clause will surely be triggered.Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal still ALL in the race talking to his camp.Bayern keen since January but depends on sales; Real Madrid haven’t decided whether they want new CB or not. There was more, though, as the Tz duo of Philipp Kessler and Hanna Reif (via @iMiaSanMia) reported that Bayern Munich has been observing Huijsen “for years”, but also that the Bavarians would likely need to shed one of its two big money center-backs (Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae). Interestingly, the Tz reporters also noted that Bayern Munich would prefer any move to be for a left-foot center-back.Interestingly, Huijsen is listed as ambipedal (able to use both feet equally well):Dean Huijsen has been on Bayern’s radar for years. There has been and there’s still regular contact with his father and agent. Bayern would likely only sign a top centre-back if one of the current regular starting defenders were to leave the club. Negotiations over a contract extension with Dayot Upamecano have stalled, and there’s a possibility Kim Min-jae would be sold.Ideally, Bayern want to sign a left-footed centre-back.You want more? Good, because we have it. Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg is reporting that Huijsen’s release clause does not need to be paid in one, lump sum. Instead, Plettenberg says that the €58 million release clause can be paid in three installments: What makes the release clause for Dean #Huijsen even more interesting: the £50m/€58m do not have to be paid immediately – it has been contractually agreed that the clause can be paid in three instalments. All interested clubs have been informed of this. Talks with several clubs are ongoing. No decision has been made yet. #LFC #CFC Finally, Romano (via @iMiaSanMia) checked in again with something that might pique your interest even more as he says that the Bavarians “love” Huijsen:Dean Huijsen is a player Bayern love. But at Bayern they feel that Premier League clubs can spend way more money, that’s why the club is not confident at the moment that they can make it happen - but they want the player and made contact with his representatives. The interest is 100% confirmed. Huijsen has yet to make his decision - but the situation is leaning towards a move to the Premier League.Hmmm…While reports indicate that Upamecano’s contract talks are on shaky ground and that Min-jae was, well, just shaky at times this season, there does seem to be a reasonable way to get a very good, young center-back.Should Bayern Munich just go for it with Huijsen?Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show Season 4, Episode 40It has been a wild week for Bayern Munich as the club prepares to try and capture the Meisterschale. Let’s dive into what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show: Bayern Munich’s backline is on shaky ground at the moment — Dayot Upamecano’s contract talks have stalled, Kim Min-jae is on the hot seat, and rumors are indicating that the club could make a splurge play for Dean Huijsen. FC Bayern München v Borussia Mönchengladbach - Bundesliga Photo by Sebastian El-Saqqa - firo sportphoto/Getty Images Is anything going at the Allianz Arena this weekend? Madrid making late run at Wirtz? (ESPN)Bayern Munich is out of the race for Florian Wirtz, but Real Madrid could be swooping in at the last minute to make a play for the German star: Real Madrid are now in the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz, says AS. Liverpool had been thought to have a free run at the Germany international when Bayern dropped their interested, but now his former boss Xabi Alonso has been unveiled as new manager of Los Blancos, the 22-year-old could opt to move to Madrid. Though his transfer will cost upwards of €100m.The Alonso factor is...something. With his feet now on the ground in Spain, the ex-Bayern Munich midfielder could be spearheading a last ditch effort for the Wirtz, though it does seem like the German is too far down the road with Liverpool to reconsider his options. LFC getting serious with another BuLi target? (@Plettigoal)Liverpool FC has reportedly already secured Bayer Leverkusen ace Florian Wirtz for the summer transfer window and could be looking at another young, Bundesliga talent in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitiké: The next big target from the Bundesliga: Understand FC Liverpool are now seriously in the race for Hugo #Ekitike!Talks have taken place. Slot/Edwards keen on him. The biggest rival at the moment: Chelsea. Eintracht Frankfurt have not yet received an offer. Markus Krösche still demand €100 million. #LFC #CFC If true, Liverpool is taking some big swings this summer, eh?Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show: Season 4, Episode 45 (Bavarian Football Works)It was a long-time coming, but Bayern Munich finally got its man. The club announced the signing of Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah, so now we can officially dive deep into what this means moving. Let’s kick things off with that and then explore some of the other hot button items at Bayern Munich these days. This is what we have on tap for this episode of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show: How will Jonathan Tah fit at Bayern Munich and how will his presence affect Kim Min-jae’s future in Bavaria. The longer Leroy Sané’s saga goes on, the more teams are — allegedly — creeping out of the woodwork to show interest. Arsenal FC and Tottenham Hotspur are among them, so let’s discuss. The Champions League finale is at the Allianz Arena this weekend. Bayern Munich failed in in its quest for finale dahoam, but Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain will do battle. Lert’s talk about how it all got to this point. Gunners getting serious with Sané (ESPN)Arsenal FC might start to turn up the heat on a pursuit of Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sané: Arsenal are lining up a move for Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané, reports the Times. The Gunners are believed to be keen to agree to a pre-contract agreement with the 29-year-old, who is set to become a free agent next month when his contract expires at the Allianz Arena. Previous reports have indicated that Sané would prefer to choose a club in London as his next destination, and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with interest in him.McAtee to Leverkusen? (Sky Sport’s Florian Plettenberg via ESPN)Seeking to rebound from losing Florian Wirtz, Bayer Leverkusen could be working with Manchester City on a deal with 22-year-old attacking midfielder James McAtee: Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester City are in direct contact about a possible move for James McAtee while other Premier League and Serie A clubs are also interested in the 22-year-old attacking midfielder.Bavarian Podcast Works — Flagship Show: Season 7, Episode 46 (Bavarian Football Works)Like any good story (or maybe good horror story in this case), it must come to an end. The Bayern Munich transfer saga with Florian Wirtz is over, as the club lost to Liverpool, so now it is time to eulogize it and put it out of its misery with one last show. This is what we have on tap for…
RB Leipzig v Borussia Dortmund- 1. Bundesliga Photo by Ulrik Pedersen/NurPhoto via Getty Images Is it too late for Bayern Munich to make a move for Xavi Simons? According to a report from journalists David Ornstein, Simon Johnson, and Seb Stafford-Bloor of The Athletic (via @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich has held talk with the representatives of Xavi Simons, but has not yet begun any discussions with RB Leipzig about a transfer: Bayern have held talks with Xavi Simons’ camp since Jamal Musiala’s injury, although they have not initiated club-to-club talks. Chelsea have also inquired, but any move would depend on exits.Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg also checked in with an update on Simons, but the German’s information seems to indicate that board member for sport Max Eberl is driving the interest, while Simons is focused on a move to Chelsea FC: Talks between Chelsea and #Xavi Simons’ camp, which also includes his brother Faustino, will continue today. The goal is to reach a verbal agreement. Xavi is open to a move to #CFC. Talks with Leipzig will follow in due course. In the event of a transfer, Chelsea can imagine playing with two number tens. Arsenal are so far only waiting in the wings. As for FC Bayern, he remains a personal topic for Max Eberl. At present, however, there is still no progress despite stalled negotiations regarding Nick Woltemade. Over the weekend, it was reported that Simons would reject an advance from Bayern Munich in favor of a move to the Premier League. At this point, there is no reason to doubt that even if the Bavarians might now be ramping up interest in the attacker. One thing to keep an eye on from afar — there have been a few stories of late that make it seem as if the Bayern Munich front office and supervisory board might not be in full alignment on player pursuits or how potential transfers might be used if they sign with the Bavarians. Again, there is no reason to sound any alarms, but it is worth monitoring. With a move for Hugo Ekitiké getting close, the reality is that Bayern Munich is likely going to get Luis Diaz…whether fans like it or not. Bayern Munich has reportedly also exited talks with VfB Stuttgart to focus on a deal for Diaz. It might also just be time for Bayern Munich to rip off the band-aid and sell Kim Min-jae, João Palhinha, and Sacha Boey. Finally, we have a note Bayer Leverkusen’s CEO and his recent slam on Bayern. FC Bayern München Portraits - FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Photo by Alex Livesey - FIFA/FIFA via Getty Images Bayern Munich has irons in the fire... Action expected in coming weeks between Palhinha, Spurs (GiveMeSport)Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich have done some good business together of late and more could be on the way. In recent reports, Tottenham has been linked to Bayern Munich midfielderJoão Palhinha and it seems like Spurs could be inclined to make a move for Palhinha in the coming weeks — just do not expect them to rush into it: Tottenham Hotspur have made contact with Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha over a summer transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.Spurs have had a relatively quiet start to the transfer window compared to their fellow ‘Big Six’ clubs. With Mohammed Kudus through the door, and the young Japanese defender, Kota Takai, signing on the dotted line, that completes the north London side’s transfer business so far.Alongside the loan deals for Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel becoming permanent, the Lilywhites are now awaiting their next incoming. That player that looked to be Morgan Gibbs-White, but a move that has since stalled due to legal issues, it appears Spurs will now turn their attention to Palhinha, having contacted the Portuguese player’s camp.Hoping to bolster in the middle of the park, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Frank’s side have ‘genuine interest’ in Palhinha, who has been described as ‘world-class’, and have made an initial approach to his camp to discuss a move.Šeško to NUFC?
